American actress Maria Bello was born on April 18, 1967 in Norristown, Pennsylvania. Her mother, Katty, is Polish, worked as a nurse, her father was Italian, worked as a contractor. The Bello family has four children, Maria has two brothers Joey and Chris, and sister Louise.
The birth of Maria in a simple ordinary family did not foreshadow her acting future. Like many children, Maria graduated from Catholic high school, and then continued her studies at Villanova University, which is located in the suburbs of Philadelphia. At this university, the girl chose to study political science in order to later get a job as a lawyer. While studying at the university, Maria Bello signed up for acting courses.
After graduating from university, Maria decided to go to New York to continue her new business, which was firmly established in her life. It was in this city that the girl entered the theater school and played her first roles in low-budget productions – “Urban Planning”, “The Killer in Me”, etc. Work in the theater brought Maria very little income, because of which she was forced to work for additional jobs to survive in this huge and expensive city.
In 1995, Maria decided to move to Los Angeles to try to improve her creative career.
In 1996, the successful actress Maria Bello easily passed the casting for the series “Mr. and Mrs. Smith”. However, for unknown reasons, the series was canceled, but despite this, the actress was offered the role of a pediatrician in the famous and sensational
series "Ambulance" . The producers of the series were so delighted with the impeccable and magnificent play of the talented actress that they unanimously decided to invite Maria to work in the series on a permanent basis.
In 1988, Maria Bello received the Film Actors Guild Award for her role as Anna Amico in the TV series Ambulance.
In 2006, the actress received the Chicago Critics Association Award for Best Supporting Actor in Brake. In the same year, Maria Bello was nominated for the Golden Globe Award as the best dramatic actress in the film Justified Cruelty. /
