Actor and minstrel Hugh Dancy (Hugh Dancy) on stage and on the screen, he most often appears as a young trembling, but quite successful lover. You bet! Who can resist those deep sad blue eyes and carelessly fluffy chestnut curls? Hugh is the embodiment of Byron’s image – equally mysterious and aristocratic.
Hugh Dancy was born into the family of a philosopher and publisher on June 19, 1975 in the British town of Stoke-on-Trent. He grew up kind, thoughtful, but too mobile, and constantly got into ridiculous stories. And so, after one of his playful ventures, his parents sent him to a local theater course as punishment. In this theater he had the opportunity to play many classical roles, mainly from the works of the great Shakespeare.
After graduating from school, Hugh entered Oxford at the Faculty of English Philology. However, Hugh did not defend scientific works, but moved to London, where he got a job as a bartender to earn his main hobby - playing in the theater. The agent managed to push Hugh into television. At first, these were small roles in little-known TV series, but then he starred in Madame Bovary and David Copperfield.
In 2001, Hugh Dancy finally starred in a feature film (D’Artagnan in Young Blades). This was followed by the star films “Black Hawk Down”, “Intimate Dictionary” and
"Enchanted Ella" . In his career, Hugh had mistakes and failures, but he steadfastly survived them and returned to battle. So after the failure of “Basic Instinct 2” he quickly got into a rut, playing the lover of Elizabeth I. For this role, he received an Emmy in 2007 as the best performer of a male role.
In his personal life, the actor is romantic and devoted to his beloved. It is known that before the union with actress Claire Dance Hugh had a long relationship with the famous artist Annie Morris. /
