Amanda Lee Moore was born on April 10, 1984 in the American city of Orlando. Her father, Don Moore, was an American Airlines pilot and her mother, Stacey, was a former newspaper reporter. Mandy has two brothers, Kyle and Scott. Her childhood and youth were spent in Altamonte Springs, where the Moore family moved because of Don’s work. Mandy attended Bishop Moore Catholic School in Orlando. She became interested in singing when she watched the musical Oklahoma! Mandy’s maternal grandmother, a former professional dancer, supported her granddaughter and encouraged her singing. For the first time, Mandy Moore performed in front of an audience in Florida at a sports event, where she sang the national anthem.
In 1999, Mandy and the Backstreet Boys toured together. In December of the same year, her first album So Real was released, which went platinum in the United States (it sold about one million copies). However, observers spoke about him rather restrained. In May of the following year, Mandy released the album I Wanna Be with You. It was a reworked version of her first album, which critics did not appreciate either. In June 2001, she recorded another album with the songs “Saturate Me”. It later went gold, selling 443,000 copies.
In the fall of 2003, Moore’s fourth album “Coverage” was released, which critics called a leap into musical maturity.
Mandy Moore’s acting career began with the film Hurry to Love, where she played the main role. Later in several films for teenagers, she played leading roles. In contrast to previously played roles in the films “American Dream” and
"Rescued" Mandy played the "bad girl."
In 2006, the singer called her first albums terrible and disgusting. She said she would pay back those who bought the first two albums. /
