Shawn Ashmore – Iceberg in the movie X-Men. Sean Ashmon, like his twin brother Aaron, are Canadian actors. They began their acting career at the age of seven, when their mother led the brothers by the hands to the Multiple Births Association. Teleagents boys liked and soon the brothers began to act, first in commercials, and then in movies. Interestingly, in films and TV series, Sean usually got the role of positive characters, and Aaron – bullies. Sometimes, however, they played twins. The brothers were walking up to the age of 12 when Aaron fell ill. Since then, Sean has become ahead of his brother in his acting career.
Sean's first notable role was in the film "Guitarist", he played it at the age of 14, and was nominated for Gemini, and the first very noticeable role in the film "X-Men" and the sequels of this blockbuster.
In the film The Wizard of the Earthsea based on the fantasy novels of Ursula Le Guin, he plays one of the main roles, a young Geda, at the time when he just began to learn his craft from Odion. In addition, he starred in the film “Cadet Kelly”, the series “Smallville Mysteries”, “Animorphs” and “Beyond the Possible”.
One of the last works of Sean Ashmore is the role in the thriller “Frozen”. Three skiers, two friends and the girlfriend of one of them got stuck in the lift and spent a week there. Heavy physical and mental stress for the characters of the film, according to the director, could be played plausibly, if the actors themselves feel the situation. Therefore, the shooting was conducted “in nature” – in the mountains. Shawn Ashmore later said that it was really cold there and there was a real possibility of dying as a result of some ridiculous accident. It wasn't easy. “It’s probably inappropriate to compare filming with war,” he said, “but it’s like we’ve actually been to war.” /
