In 1975, Alice graduated from the University of Rhodes in South Africa, becoming a bachelor in drama and psychology. In the late seventies, the actress moved to London, and in 1979 she made her debut in the film “A Tale of Two Cities”, Krieg’s breakthrough in her career was a part in the film “Chariots of Fire”, filmed in 1981. The film won four Oscars, after which Alice played a role in the thriller “Ghost Story”.
Over the next few years, the actress achieved success through participation in theater productions, she also performed with the Royal Shakespeare Company between 1984 and 1985. In the second half of the eighties, Alice starred in the films “King David”, where her partner was Richard Gere, and "Drunk" with Mickey Rourke. In addition, she played the main role in the not very successful film “See you in the morning” in 1988.
Kriege’s career in cinema began to go uphill in the nineties, when she began to play negative roles.
