In 1998, when she was ten years old, Emily appeared on television, starring in the series Echo of Thunder by Hallmark Television. With this began the career of a talented girl in the Australian film and television industry. In 2001, Emily starred in the film The Man Who Sued God, where she played the daughter of the main character, in the thriller The Ship is a Ghost, where she played Katie Harwood, in the fantastic film Lemony Snicket: 33 Misfortunes, in which Emily played the role of Violetta Baudelaire.
