film "Mr. Legion Rifleman" In 1952, Jane Marquet played the role of Madame Leguignon, a light, carefree woman with a calm and balanced character. The plot of the film tells about a poor lamplighter Diogenes Leguignon, who was forcibly evicted with his family from his own home and settled in a dirty working quarter consisting of old, wooden houses. In an empty and abandoned house, where he settled with his wife, there was a cache of local children, in which they kept their jewelry – silverware. One night the children decided to sneak into the house and collect their treasure, but the ferocious Diogenes noticed the children, drove them away, and decided to take the silver for himself. The resentment of the weeping children instantly spread among the residents of the poor quarter, and they unanimously summoned the offender Diogenes to a friendly court. The decision was made fairly and unanimously: to auction silverware. The amount obtained from the sale was so impressive that Diogenes suggests that the neighbors invest this money in the construction of a new district.
