Heinar Kipphardt (born, 1922) - German playwright, writer (Germany), doctor of psychology. He is the author of more than ten dramatic works, the most famous of which are the plays “The General’s Dog” (Der Hund des Generals, 1962), “The Case of Robert Oppenheimer” (In Sachen .J. Robert Oppenheimer, 1964). Kiphardt’s first novel, Merz (Marz), published in 1976, was awarded the Bremen Prize. For the television film on this novel, the writer was awarded the "Prize of Italy".
