Go Su always tries to be in great shape, and therefore he plays sports. Married for a Millionaire was his last work before he was drafted into the military in 2006. Guo Su began military service on March 2, 2006, and was appointed Public Service Personnel in Geng Nam District, Seoul.
On April 25, 2008, his service in the Armed Forces ended. And after 2 years, Go returned to his work, this time in the theater. In the play "The Return of President Eom" he was invited on the recommendation of Joe Jae-hoon, whom he met on the set of the drama "Piano".
In 2009, he starred in the film "Into the White Night", based on the Japanese novel of the same name. Go released his first photobook, 24 Hours with Ko Soo. Go Soo married on February 17, 2012, a 23-year-old art college student. On January 28, 2013, they had a son.
In 2013, the artist signed a contract to cooperate with the label of actor Lee Byunghon «BH Entertainment», and then starred in the project «Golden Empire» («Empire of Gold»), which tells the story of the struggle for power in a wealthy family. In the same year, he began working in the film Way Back Home, playing a man unjustly accused of drug smuggling. Guo Su shared that he agreed to participate in the filming only because he had long dreamed of working with actress Jong Doyeon.
In 2014, Su starred in two short films. The first is director Kang Jaegyu’s Awaiting, which tells the story of a married couple who have been separated for sixteen years in North and South Korea. The film was presented at the Hong Kong International Film Festival. The second is "View of Mount Myohyang", where Go played an artist from North Korea. The project was directed by Moon Kyungwon and Chung Junho.
On April 17, 2015, Go Soo became a father for the second time - his wife gave birth to a girl.
In June 2015, it became known that the actor left the agency "BH Entertainment". Later it was reported that it was a mutual decision of the two parties. Shortly after, Guo Su joined a new label, which is a subsidiary of BH Entertainment. It was also reported that Go Soo and Lee Byung-hong remained on friendly terms. A little later, Go appeared in the film “The Royal Tailor”, playing an upstart designer who makes royal outfits. Then, after three years of silence on television, Guo Su starred in the historical drama “The Flower in Prison”, directed by Lee Byung-hun. In 2017, Guo Su began working on the set of the psychological thriller “Lucid Dream”, playing a former journalist trying to find a kidnapped son using visions that come to him in dreams. In the same year, the actor managed to star in another project - "The Tooth and the Nail" ("The Tooth and the Nail"), based on the novel by Bill Ballinger, released in 1995.
