The idea is great, but the embodiment brings everything to naught! Once I saw this series in the filmography of Anna Gorshkova and decided to watch it. The plot is not trivial enough. A girl named Masha goes with a friend to the city of Sochi, but on the way there she is kidnapped and thus she falls into slavery. From that moment on, the most interesting thing should have started, but that was not the case. The series was as boring and bland as possible. But everything in order.
Let's start with the cast. Anna Gorshkova (Masha) - a beautiful and stately girl, it is pleasant to look at her, there is a certain soulfulness in her. But her play here leaves much to be desired. She was calm like a tank and nothing like a kidnapped girl who suffers from this situation and wants to go home. On the contrary, it seems that she is satisfied with everything or she has swallowed tranquilizers. Even cries somehow through the force, well, made her director, so she cries. The character has not been revealed.
Masha’s parents, played by Rudenko’s Love and Vladimir Gostyukhin, are shown one-sidedly. One is in endless hysteria and in addition to sobbing is not capable of anything, and the second, on the contrary, calm and cheerful, as if his daughter just went to the store for bread.
Masha's girlfriend, Katya (Ksenia Buravskaya) - a girl who throughout the series walked with one facial expression that does not express anything. No sadness, no joy, no anger. Total indifference to everything and everything. Empty eyes. Zero emotions. Her love for the investigator looks unbelievable.
Investigator Alexander Mikhailovich (Dmitry Maryanov) - the same sluggish, half-sleepy character. The times when Maryanov could play a lover hero are long gone, here he is a completely unattractive and bloated middle-aged man, but Vadim Sokolovsky thinks otherwise, so we are forced to see a love line between him and the heroine Katya, which is practically sucked out of a finger.
Ekaterina Krupenina in the role of Serbian Helen looks strange. It feels like it's being voiced by someone else. This is the monotonous voice of a dying swan with an oriental accent that makes you fall asleep. Her face also did not express any emotions. She spoke all the dialogues with one expression. All of the actors in this series.
I want to highlight Vitaly Abdulov. His character appears at the beginning of the series and, unfortunately, quickly disappears. It's really interesting to watch. Such a lively and sincere character turned out, albeit negative.
The soundtrack is scanty, only three tunes for the entire series, poor in content. You could think of something more original than three chords. I don’t know why all men have a female voice. Couldn't we have a male voice?
In general, the series made an oppressive impression of hopelessness and not at all because of the fact that the main character fell into slavery, but because of the frankly weak implementation. The idea was interesting, but the embodiment ruined the idea completely. You will die and you do not believe in what is happening. Sounds like a school play. I could barely see the thrust, but how well it started. I don’t think there will be a desire to reconsider.
