Unexpectedly. Very unexpected and high-quality fiction. The most important thing is that it is not about technology, but about people. A man with his own feelings and passions.
Heroes, of course, are not the most original. Yes, they are quite standard, but do not descend to frank cardboard. You can watch it.
The story is not bright either, but it is interesting to watch. It develops gradually and suddenly BAM!!! From a sluggish under-space opera, the title is dramatically transformed into a sports drama, very, very reminiscent of the Space Brothers & #39; with all this tedious, long work on preparing for space flights and very unpopular and clearly inhumane decisions. (I can’t help feeling like it’s Part 3 and I’ve missed Part Two.)
And as soon as you get used to the sports drama - BAM! - a frantically bright and tense fighter with terrorists in space falls on your head! Don't get bored.
A very interesting topic comes up towards the end - what is the cost of space exploration? Does it make sense to explore space, if life on Earth is still far from arranged? When are there civil wars, famines, epidemics? A difficult question and seemingly the answer is given unequivocally, but ' the sediment remained'.
In short, I enjoyed spending my time on it, recommending fans of classic old space adventures 'close to reality' And, importantly, the authors try to be as faithful as possible to physics - with silent movement, blows and shots. A small but good detail.
People are always looking for something. Something beautiful, memorable, interesting for him, able to touch him, something hooked so much that after a long time a person will remember this indescribable moment. In one way or another, he will try to recreate it. I don't know if it will. And the heroes of this anime series are the same wanderers and seekers.
This is probably the essence of the name.
The series tells a beautiful and at the same time extremely realistic story, where everything seems to not obey the hand of the writer: everything goes as usual. Through obstacles and confusion, losing something old and gaining something new. Initially giving the initial information, the anime falsely lures the viewer more than once seen archittypes. You look at them and as if you understand what awaits you in the future, what to expect from history and, even more, what the finale will be. But the series follows the series and in a kaleidoscope of the indescribable beauty of outer space, the characters are revealed. Before their eyes, they come to life, show the depth of their worldview, opening double and triple donas of their destinies. Someone changes, someone retains some of their original naivety. There is a drama, the finale is a tragedy. But all this moves in its own, personal, living vector. Not as you want, but as you want.
And that realization makes it even harder at the end, because you realize that history is complete. It is independent and does not require continuation. Maybe a brief sketch. But no long digestion of further destinies, for it will be impossible to describe them in part: the heroes live, test their emotions inside and feelings for each other. They are constantly evolving and taking them and cutting them out of some time frame of their lives to prolong the story is not an option. Answering the series’ rhetorical questions is possible. But again, it's just an essay.
"Wanders" is an anime of rare quality. Indescribably beautiful story with indescribably beautiful drawing. The visual part is amazing, the development of the world of the near future is even more. The biography of the author Makato Yukimura says that he graduated only from art school, and this work was his first serious step in the field of mangaki. And this kind of information puts us at an even greater impasse. The series, just shot on the manga, is full of references to real personalities that somehow influenced the construction of world cosmonautics. Scientific concepts and technologies are not overly fantastic things, but quite real, practiced or discussed, substances that either occur today, or may appear in reality not so far on the timeline of the development of cosmonautics. “Wanders” is just a eulogy to the cosmos and everything connected with it. This is a story that surveys this waterless space not from one side: from the visual, from the scientific and technical, from the political. Moreover, the entire storyline of the final is built on the political background.
The capitalism of modern society can be evaluated in different ways, as well as the ideas of socialism. It is clear that the author has his own opinion, and not trying to suppress the phenomena and ideas of any of the political views. On the contrary, his philosophy is about connecting, sharing experiences and the best that everyone has. This can be regarded as propaganda, but it seems to me only by those people who clearly follow a certain thought without wanting to at least try to see what is so entertaining about other ideas and trends. And this philosophy is completely correlated with the philosophy of the series.
Discovery is not victory. Victory must be based on the ability to constantly look after something taken by a person under his own responsibility. Antoine de Saint-Exupery wrote about this in his beautiful Little Prince, and again, interestingly, his work also touched to some extent on the vastness of space. And a reasonable, civilized man aspires to this cosmos, strives further, deeper. But it remains at its universal level of accepted responsibility, which is not entirely correct. “Wanders” show what degree, at least approximately, in various aspects, one way or another related to the cosmos, a person should take on himself, to what degree he should move. So that with a clear conscience and confidence for their strength and ability to be open to the move in these beautiful, indescribably beautiful gave star spaces. Their display in the series deserves special attention, but it is useless to convey it on the letter. I can't even begin to realize how much force has been put into the overall picture of the debris of the near-Earth, or the glow of distant stars and galaxies. But it was simply a titanic job. And out of respect for him, I just want to urge you to take a look at what happened in the end.
A stunning, dramatic story, executed with the highest aspiration of the canons of dramaturgy and the construction of scenario conflicts. In locations of indescribable beauty at an incredible technical level of execution of the overall visual part. Wanderers is a series of rare quality, rare identity, rare beauty and philosophy. A series that should not be missed, because thanks to such series, anime is considered a full-fledged, serious genre of world media culture.
P.S. Thank you very much.
The first 3 – 4 series are very confused, even chaotic, the action is scrappy, no smoothness, you just take the neck and as if thrown on a scale into the whirlpool of life of the orbital station. The nature of these series is primarily humorous - that is, you naturally begin to expect such a mood to the end. There is a risk that at this stage the series will scare away those who are looking for serious work on the topic, rather than pure comedy. Therefore, I sincerely advise you not to stop and look further. They don’t reveal their “Wanders” so easily. You are irrevocably drawn to the 10th series, and the last 8-10 episodes are generally full astral. In them, not only the maximum degree of tension, emotions and events, but also acquires a logical conclusion that gradually unfolds earlier. In this regard, animeshka is like a mosaic: first, individual puzzles are taken, a similarity of a picture is formed, but its design is visible only after completion.
The main theme is space, the time of action is the near future. Humanity has conquered near-Earth space, generously filled with orbital stations of various corporations; settled on the moon, which it uses as a “chest with gems” (mining) and a tourist center; is going to step even further, on Jupiter, for which it builds a ship. However, there is a considerable "but" in all this - already now the development of astronautics is a matter of prestige, and the right to be called a space power is something like membership in a closed club. The Wanderers show us a cosmos divided into zones of influence, a cosmos benefiting some and suffering others. Leading countries are enriched, fabulous sums are spent on its development, and the third world countries, deprived of privileges, are drowning in civil wars, poverty and hunger. In this regard, the series raises a lot of political, economic, ethical problems, and not only in general terms, but also with regard to specific individuals and destinies.
It is against this background that we observe the everyday life of the team of space debris collectors, and in particular the cosmonaut Hachimaki, who has internally gone from an egoist - the conqueror of space to understanding (not much more) his place in the Universe.
Add to this a lot of funny situations; a lot of secondary, but bright characters and separately - the atmosphere, the setting of the action. The world of weightlessness, emptiness and immensity is so well spelled out to the slightest touches (views of the Earth, a lunar city, spacewalks), that every dreamer, at least once mentally drawn to the stars, will not remain indifferent.
I recommend watching not only anime, but also connoisseurs of NF.

Humanity and the cosmos: will anything change from the meeting?
Great "adult" anime. Very multifaceted, compelling to think, but at the same time pleasant and easy to view. The description on the website is short and very accurate. I subscribe to every word!
There are a lot of questions in the anime, the answers to which are not here. And it's not annoying at all. If you touch them in a “convenient” form for the viewer, then he himself will think about the answers. For me. For example, one of the topics is terrorism. There are two stories in which people become terrorists. They're very believable. But the topic of terrorism is not the main one in the “Wanders”. And there are many of them: the choice of profession, career, friendship, war, ecology, love... Not really. Love is probably the main topic here. But by no means dominant.
Separately, I want to write about the disclosure of characters. Actors with well-developed characters here are unusually many. And the work is qualitative, does not give template. Naturally, the central characters are given much more time, but such a purely secondary character as the inventor of a robot from a third world country is shown very colorful. And with its help, the issues of discrimination of people from third world countries and war are further touched upon.
What's your complaint? Well, one claim, and even in quotes, I will make. In the anime, a person is already actively mastering the cosmos, and the development of mankind corresponds to its current state. Is it possible for man to actively explore space at his current level of development? Could it be just the unsolved troubles on Earth that prevent further space exploration?

Come on, no politics! Very strange anime. It's pretty calm at first. Love, but no ethie. Space, but no fights. Something reminiscent of “the Voice of a distant star”, but, of course, does not hold. What can be interesting about collecting space debris, but in general, nothing. Absolutely technical work. But by the will of the writers, each series of the series is dedicated to some mission that the hero will face. Unfortunately, the attempt to bring a very nice story socio-political aspect did not go to the benefit of the series. I am not interested in watching a series about how space exploration condemns the inhabitants of the third world to certain death. Which are true, instead of starving to learn, fly into space and fight in zero gravity against the trans-planetary corporations. No, they are, of course, negative characters, as they struggle with technical progress, but at the same time they are quite given to engage in agitation of the viewer. And I think that many people are amenable to such propaganda. This is no longer the case. 8 out of 10 Original
