Secret of the firm Lively and with all the unexpectedly interesting, from beginning to end, from the title to the finish line, the film was made by Yasuzo Masumur. Masterfully crafts a story from within the fierce rivalry between the two giant automakers. The company "Tiger Motors" in complete commercial secrecy, with the strictest precautions, is preparing for a massive release of its new sports model-lightning "Pioneer", which by its core characteristics, should significantly move the model range of their main competitor, the company "Yamata". But even in the opposite camp, minds do not sleep, trying to unravel the secrets of the Pioneer by all possible means, plus, contrasting these frisky tigresses with their fresh fruit of labor - an iron horse called "Miped". Corporations, in order to bring down a competitor, gain an advantage in a leap and quickly remove a bank, use all sorts of well-established mechanisms of industrial espionage, using all methods and schemes in conditions of uncertainty, all sorts of tricks and tricks – milk information, incredibly predatory driven by bribery, data theft, surveillance, blackmail, disinformation. Moreover, creatives are no longer up to know-how, business takes another hao-know turn, from which not only their hands fall. The “pioneer” is cracking at the seams, driven into the corner of the “Tiger” on the verge of going into a chess ditch, due to the obvious flawed hole from which a treacherous phantomist leaked the most important secrets needed by the enemy, someone who needs to be calculated in the nest itself, someone who among the seven suspicious, seven samurai is a traitor to the homeland. Who? Motive?
Yasuzo Masumura’s film elaborately and in detail reveals the rampage at the heart of the corporate world against the backdrop of the economic boom of the 50s and 60s in the country of the capitalist rising sun. He unfolds a real spy thriller - giving to captivate and capture. With the camera at Masumura everything is fine, at all speeds up to the last second and without any advertising pauses, looking, gives you a look at all the dirty underwear of this animal corporate party, on the most tomatoes, at different angles of shooting, in expressive positions monochrome stay in full noir. But Masumura probably would not have been Masumura (behind the Italian film school, work with Kenji Mizoguchi and Kon Ichikawa) would not have invested in the film screen, human nature. One of the key and weighty lines in the tape, Yasuzo Masumura fixes on a young and ambitious careerist Asahina, a staff employee of Tiger, who is acutely betting on the good of the company. The director rigidly erases ethical boundaries, reaching a certain height of drama. The music of Sei Ikeno is internally – tightly reinforces the suspense of each torque of the film work, further compacting the sharp and depressed atmosphere of this small car cold war.
