Squalid sunset out In a review written on the theme of “miracle film” “Transmorphers” had the courage to tell me how I got hairless when I bought myself a DVD, having inattentively read the title of the picture he came out with, confusing it, of course, with the “Transformers” from Michael Bay, which is about to hit all theaters. There was another reason why I bought this disc, if it was a mess: the year it premiered coincided with the release of the blockbuster Transformers. After I became aware of what a “mokbuster” is, it became quite clear why it was done, how the creators of low-budget tapes somehow beat off their finances. And suddenly, after the absolute failure of “Transmorphers”, the creators decided on a sequel. The question is, "Why?" The answer lies on the surface: again, the year of the release of the second part of Transformers absolutely coincides with the second Transmorfers.
It is unlikely that the creators of "Transmorphers" strongly hoped to hold the next inattentive viewers with the help of a small alteration in the title. Those who got acquainted with their “creation” only for a lot of money would agree to watch the sequel. The matching year of the premiere is also unlikely to deceive the viewer. And if so, what should we do? Attention! The solution is found, and it is so easy that it even emphasizes the sarcastic expression that everything genius is simple. It was only necessary to come up with a second title for the second part, preferably as loud as possible, so that it immediately catches the eye. And it’s really hard to come up with something louder and brighter than “The Decline of Humanity.” In the era of blockbusters, which repeatedly remind a person that if he behaves without looking back and thoughtfulness, he faces a global catastrophe. And now another film that should tell us how we will find ourselves on the verge of death.
But only this sonorous title “The Decline of Humanity” will be able to attract the audience, because the very plot of the film is a cliché on the cliché and it waves. Taking them from the most famous and box-office action films on the subject of enslaving us by robots, apparently, Shane Van Dyke, the screenwriter of “The Decline of Humanity”, decided that the job was done. In general, Shane Van Dyke is a funny person, but only he is not allowed to approach cinema under criminal responsibility! This “monster” the next year after the “Decline of mankind” will release with his beloved another mokbuster. You know what? It’s going to be called Titanic 2, but it’s a good thing we didn’t call it that and it came out as Iceberg. The Iceberg rating is one and a half points, do I need to add anything else? “The Decline of Humanity” is such a set of absurdities that I wanted to laugh, because in unthinkable children, imagination, I think, works better than Shane Van Dyke.
Each scene is accompanied by hackneyed phrases, each sound seems to be from the basement, and visuals are... If you saw the game Pacman or “cut” in the video, saving the princess in “Super Mario Brothers”, then you have seen the best special effects compared to the second “Transmorfers”. Once again, it became ridiculous when the alien robots try to wipe humanity off the face of the Earth, and you could laugh, only very sorry for the time wasted. You might ask, “Why did you watch it when you knew what the first part was?” And it was interesting how else you can mock the cinema, although "Transmorphers" is generally difficult to attribute to cinema. Among the actors was the same Shane Van Dyke. It’s hard to describe him as an actor. Unstalled game, disgustingly expressed emotions and “stupor” when it was necessary to pronounce the text, as if he had forgotten what he wrote. Available in the acting ensemble Bruce Boxlightner. The hero of the very first "Throne", which not so long ago received a second wind. I liked him even more then than the then-star Jeff Bridges, but now it’s clear why Bridges is a star and Bruce Boxlightner is in such a “sludge”. And only occasionally signs of life gave the heroine Jennifer Rubin. But her character is another cliché, when among the last saviors of humanity and its only hopes, a beautiful and intelligent girl appears, where she should have amorous affairs with the main character.
From the opening credits to the editing of "The Decline of Humanity" - it is all disgustingly done work that the viewer did not deserve to watch. Schwarzenegger once said that his first film, Hercules in New York, should torture prisoners. Mr. Arnie, you were wrong! You can put “Transmorphers” and they will tell everything themselves, calling those who have repeatedly scrolled this “action” inhuman monsters.
