For some reason, almost simultaneously, three films were shot on the same topic, using extremely similar characters, an idea (if it can be called such), physics and stage implementation. It's "Kick-Ass," "Super" and "Green Hornet." Let it seem extravagant to you, but I write one general review on them, because there is simply nothing to share here. In all three films, they first introduce the character-degenerate: this is, respectively, a teenager-loser, an autistic under 40 and a stupid old kid of a rich dad, then with all three there is an event that pushes them to become superheroes, then they are looking for a way to realize this, but since the physics of their world is close to the real, it is impossible to do this in general, so instead of the characters you get three costumed idiots who try to do heroic deeds, but create instead a fierce lawlessness. Each has his own assistant - respectively, a minor, an older fool and a Chinese, each with his assistant problems. Similarities can be listed endlessly, but the problem is not in them. It's about how mean we're being pushed off the screen. For more than a century, superheroes have been the basis of half of American culture. How could you exorcise what your whole country grew up on? The list of low in these three films is huge: mat, toilet humor, disgusting heroes, an attempt to impose on the viewer a sense of comedy in the presence of an exorbitant level of cruelty, decadence. It's thrash! I’m not a fan of superheroes, I don’t rate most of their movies above 4 out of 10. But they, damn it, carry the cultural code of America and broadcast some ideals. It’s a good thing in American culture, and I don’t understand why they’re squandering it. In Eurasia, these three films do not add culture. One must understand that cinema is art after all, and one of the tasks of art is to separate the beautiful from the ugly.
Matthew Vaughn made a comic book, different from the typical superhero films, even to some extent mocking them.
Differences between "Kick-Ass" and another superhero:
1) In this project, no character has superpowers;
2) All of them receive some kind of damage from the enemy, which does not create the impression that they are immortal and omnipotent.
(3) Some heroes commit ambiguous acts, which brings them closer to real life, in which there are no one hundred percent bad and good people, but there are people who do bad and good things.
(4) All characters have their own human problems, which brings them closer to the audience.
(5) None of them are perfect, everyone makes mistakes, including the main character.
Probably because of all of the above, the film gained popularity among the people, as everyone could find themselves in it. These aren’t typical Marvel movies, they’re a new look at comic books.
This is probably the most American film I can imagine.
This is a film about American popular culture.
This is a film about New York.
This is a movie about superheroes.
This is a film about high school.
This is a film about puberty
This is a film about the comic nerd
This is a film about the free carrying of weapons.
This is a movie about rich bandits.
It's an ear movie. A lot about what else.
In general, when I just watched it, I did not understand what the joke is and why many people in the comments are so actively praising the film. After thinking about some things, I basically understood why people write this way, the film really at first seems to be the dumbest, standard American comedy, but if you delve into the rather subtle references and the general message, you can call the film cool, maybe not the best in life, but a serious standard of unstressed (black) comedy.
So, what exactly does this look like?
Unpredictability.
Here, when you see a poster with characters in a mask you think ' Well, probably another superhero' Then you see the name 'Kick-Ass' (Kick-Ass) and you think haha, probably some teenage thrash. But then in my head looms that so, superheroics with some kind of comic teenage name and somehow in my head jams and highlights the spectrum of emotions from interest to non-seriousness of what is happening. You don’t know what to expect from the movie.
Unpredictability vol. 2.
The ending of the film is relatively predictable, although not to the end.
The speed at which things are moving and how the hell they are really striking. The plot is really big and solidly filled with everything possible. This is not a short story of the formation of the hero, this is his full path, probably the creators did not count on a sequel that came out no less worthy than the original.
Ordinary for the viewer.
Even if you're not an American, it still gives you something so distant and familiar, something you've seen, you know, and you've heard a lot.
The very theme of superheroics is familiar to everyone from completely different films and different universes, comic series and so on. In more detail, it covers the themes of such a typical teenage life in high school, I think everyone in their head roughly represents a middle-level high school in New York and what happens in the lives of its students.
At least try.
The message in the film, in addition to the most standard ' Good conquers evil' also consists in the fact that the hero was an ordinary nerd, who was not bitten by a spider and he did not fall into a vat with kryptonite, He just put on a diving suit and went to fight abstract evil. He tried, and he did well. This is probably the hero the city needed to show everyone that superheroes are real and without abilities. The film gives both trivial and no motivation for development, not simple dreams. Kick-Ass doesn't beat super mutants, Kick-Ass gets beaten by gopniks at first, but he's doing something damn good.
And so, in general, we are dealing with a film that really does not look like its brothers in the genre of comedy and superheroism. It became a very beautiful result of the work of the American mass media, people were waiting for something like this and it turned out damn fascinating and just fucking funny!
It should also be noted that the director really laid in the film at least some meaning, that is, going back to my initial words - Yes, in the film there are stupid jokes about masturbation and so on, but this does not cancel, but adds to the fact that the film really became what the audience so lacked. A real hero, real, living, living with them.
It is also worth recalling that the film is based on comics and this is clearly visible in the movie itself, the division into semantic chapters is clearly noticeable, which is also damn cool. Probably, the storyboard of the film was taken directly by the original comic.
Also, the film scattered multiple references to really classic and generally recognized masterpieces of the cinema;
Taxi driver
The film was also directed by Matthew Vaughn with a budget of $ 30 million, Matthew was able to shoot a very unusual superhero film, where there are no superpowers, but only the desire to do good or evil. The film is based on the comics “Kick-Ass”.
The film begins with the words of the protagonist: “Why doesn’t anyone want to be a superhero?” The whole film revolves around high schooler Dave, who is fond of superheroes. The young man dreams of becoming the same hero as his idols from the pages of the comics. All he has to offer to a city in need is good intentions and a high pain threshold. Throughout the film, we see an insecure high schooler walk through the fighting cages and become Kick-Ass. The plot of the film dilutes the mafiosi and other superheroes who introduce Kick-Ass into their weight category. Unlike fast food (the Marvel Cinematic Universe), Kick-Ass keeps a distance and looks closer to a simple viewer.
The cast was good. Mark Strong played a determined and charismatic mafia, as well as his usual role. Nicholas Cage played a revenge-obsessed character who completely forgot to raise his daughter as befits and deprives him of his childhood. Chloe Grace Moretz played a very dangerous teenage girl who distributes turntables, which was very funny on the other hand, it is unusual to hear this from a little girl. The heroine is driven by his father's obsession, apparently a family affair. Aaron Taylor Johnson played a very interesting character, he helped many children to show the consequences of being a hero, how to drive over his face makes you think about the dream again.

Feeding excessively warm feelings for various kinds of graphic novels, the future screenwriter and artist Mark Millar did not have the right to skip thematic conventions, where you could buy unique issues of coveted comics, as well as take autographs from status authors, showing fans unexpected facets of their talent and friendliness. Once Millar even managed to get a stroke of the pen of Alan Moore himself, the creator of the legendary "Guardians", after which he finally established himself in the further chosen path and decided to personally create comics, which he had previously read with rapture. Showing considerable potential in terms of fiction and artistic skill, Millar got a job at one of the world’s largest publishers DC and managed to breathe fresh energy into such imperishable characters of American culture as Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman. The management of the publishing house respected the efforts of the talented author, but Millar himself wanted to diversify his activities and provide services to DC’s eternal competitor, Marvel. Developing completely different ideas, the author again achieved the desired result, but like every confident creator, he wanted to create a pantheon of his own unique characters based on a distinctive semantic foundation. And Millar again emerged victorious from an impromptu artistic fight with himself, creating “Kingsman”, which tells about the everyday life of the British secret service, as well as “Kick-Ass”, intended primarily for an American audience. The latest collection of graphic novels made a special impression on influential studio producers, and none other than Matthew Vaughn, a longtime associate of Guy Ritchie and now a full-fledged director, took up its production. Having discussed all the necessary nuances with Millar, Vaughn began to actively develop a project on which his future as a creator largely depended. Trying to follow the source as closely as possible, Vaughn sometimes went too far in his own artistic research, because of which the picture, entitled in the domestic box office as “Kick-Ass”, suffered from a slight imbalance and overly unnatural drama, but the caustic irony of the director, complemented by spectacular cruelty and an excellent cast, did him honor and opened the way to more expensive and neat projects.
So, the plot of the film introduces us to an ordinary guy named Dave Lizewski (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), who from an early age is read by comics and in dreams imagines himself an invincible superhero who can almost turn mountains. Looking from the outside at how much pain and hatred wanders the streets, Dave eventually decides to fulfill his fantastic dreams, orders a special camouflage suit and goes to the city to show the world the first full-fledged superhero, driven by fearlessness and the belief that he will be able to change the public situation for the better. But the desire is one thing, and the harsh realities of life are quite another. Engaged in an unequal fight with criminals, Dave receives serious injuries, after which he has no choice but to go to a hospital bed and rethink his future activities in the chosen field. And yet, despite all the injuries and injuries, Dave, or “Kick-Ass,” goes hunting again and this time he is smiling at luck. Not only does the recording of the next heroic antics of the guy hit the Internet, but he also makes a very profitable acquaintance with real knights in a mask, the irrepressible Killer (Chloe Grace Moretz) and Papanay (Nicholas Cage), who lead an unequal fight with criminal elements in the shadows. But Murderer and Papana are a priori incapable of inflicting as much pain on Dave as Frank D’Amico (Mark Strong), a powerful urban mobster who considered “Kick-Ass” his main headache. Sending his slightly inadequate son Chris (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) to him, the villain is thereby going to catch an unwanted superhero in his trap, and at the same time to deal with Papanai, who has long dreamed of catching D’Amico and thereby avenge long-standing grudges.
The artistic style and atmosphere of charming madness, permeating the original graphic novel by Mark Millar, ideally fits the directorial style of Matthew Vaughn, who previously staged the brisk gangster thriller “Player Cake” and truly unmatched “Stardust”, only by misunderstanding weakly showed itself at the box office. But if earlier Vaughn could stop in time, rethink the surrounding situation and take risky plot twists aside, thereby allocating time for soulfulness and careful development of characters, then in "Kick-Ass" he felt absolute freedom and tried to use it in full. Thanks to this, the tape lost almost all the limiters, which undoubtedly pleased the audience, who missed the cruel and uncompromising spectacle of the highest class, but at the same time it lost the true emotionality that other Vaughn films could boast of. It is quite clear that no one expected something traditional and dramatically literate from Kick-Ass, because the original Millar himself was not afraid to break laws and rules, mocking virtually the entire heroic genre at the root. But the movie has to work a little differently. We see how violently beat Kick-Ass in the frame, feel his pain, feel ourselves in a frankly uncomfortable environment, and at the same time are not able to penetrate the title character with warm feelings.
Matthew Vaughn deliberately demonstrates him openly strange and fearless, Dave completely lacks the instinct of self-preservation, and the desire to show himself as an invincible guardian of order is explained only by the fact that he previously did not create anything significant in life and even seemed to some peers a noted gay. It did not benefit the hero and his transformation into “Kick-Ass”. He continues to be an outcast who finds it difficult to find a place in ordinary life, and suspicious friends who appeared near him after the beginning of heroic activity mostly see Dave as the same loser who is hard to get rid of. And this opinion has not only deliberately sent to the "Kick-Ass" Chris, but even Papa and the Killer, who in theory had to take a colleague in the heroic workshop and after a while to evaluate his progress with respect. But Matthew Vaughn continues to follow the originally chosen path, forcing us to watch the frankly faded hero, who constantly gets injured, suffers and is unable to dramatically transform, as required by the laws of the genre. Moreover, the ironic mood of the production does not mean that “Kick-Ass” should remain in its ossified status of a loser until the very end. When we don’t feel the movement, the character is half dead. And that’s exactly what happens with “Kick-Ass.”
Where Matthew Vaughn and Aaron Taylor-Johnson showed mixed results, their colleagues show themselves brilliantly. What is the magnificent Nicholas Cage, who played an emphasis on the age role and thereby showed that he is able to be interesting not only as an infallible hero, but also inspires respect in the image of a battered person with deep internal injuries. And do not write off Mark Strong, who played albeit a template, but memorable mafia, who perfectly understands what open violence is.

Actors are good. And that's one of the main advantages. Nicholas Cage, Chloe Moretz, Aaron Johnson played just great.
Plot
For the first 10 to 20 minutes (I don’t remember exactly), I thought ‘Kick-Ass’ 39 was a parody of superhero movies, and I liked the abundance of black humor. But then it went beyond my comprehension, as humor took a back seat, and the characters began to act for unknown or strange motives. And the potential to make the film a comedy parody of superheroes without fierce fantasy was. The middle, to put aside some absurdity, was not bad. Just because there were a lot of interesting, funny and tough scenes in the middle. The ending was boring to watch because of the obviousness and yet strangeness of what was happening.
Registration
The soundtrack is great. The picture is good. I have nothing more to say.
Result
I want to see more about Dave becoming a superhero and his relationship with his friends and father. Less absurd, and it would be a nice funny parody of superhero movies with cool black humor.
You can watch the movie.
I tried to tell without spoilers what was waiting.

(One ball for an abundance of funny, hard and intense scenes)
By 2010, the greatest popularity in the genre of “fighter” acquired the film adaptation of comics. And in each such film there is a superhero, about whom we tell the story. But director Matthew Vaughn decided to demonstrate to the world his view of such a phenomenon as superheroes.
The plot revolves around an inconspicuous guy who loves comics, and constantly wonders why superheroes exist only in fictional stories. Gradually, he invents his own superhero and aspires to become one. Having bought a cool suit, he puts it on, and goes to do justice. True, very quickly our hero on his own experience is convinced that only a colorful costume is not enough to become a real hero.
What I really liked about the plot is that, having almost died, our hero does not give up, and perceives what happened as just a failure. It reminds me of Naruto from an anime of the same name, which I love very much. And I’ll highlight one phrase that I remember very much, and which can describe the whole film: “Three freaks beat up one guy, and a lot of people just stand there and watch!” What has happened to this world?
Then new characters appear in the plot, and the action takes a completely different turn. The film grows from a youth comedy about a loser guy, into a cool action movie with elements of fiction. And it was these elements of fiction that I did not like, because the picture ceased to look like reality.
Although it is worth noting that the technical performance of the film turned out simply amazing. I especially liked the scenes of shooting in a dark room, although other moments are not inferior to them. Separately, it is worth noting the musical accompaniment, which is simply stunningly suitable for action. I also liked the performance of actors, especially Mark Strong, as the main villain, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse, as his son.
When I first saw this movie in 2010, when it came out, I was very impressed with it, and I rated it 9 out of 10. But having recently revised, I came to the conclusion that some of the moments in it are clearly superfluous, and some are so absurd that positive emotions are completely interrupted by them. But in technical performance, the picture will give odds to most of these militants.
In general, we have a quite successful picture, the plot of which is somewhat crumpled, and sometimes too unnaturalistic even for comics. I also note that the film is not suitable for family viewing because of the large amount of vulgarity on the screen, in particular in the dialogues of the characters. But in terms of special effects and music, it turned out very spectacular.

Unbelievable. Amazing. A masterpiece. An infinite number of epithets and expressive Russian interjections (not for censorship) climb into the head after viewing (and during the time). The film passed like a stunning tsunami, which swept so seriously that even five hours after watching the emotions did not subside.
Long, long ago I did not watch such a bold, in every sense bright, wildly attractively daring, beautiful, original, powerful, driving and stylish film. Largely thanks to the obviously revolutionary comic-source and, of course, coupled with an undoubted staging talent and a great sense of style and aesthetics (work by masters like Guy Ritchie and Tarantino’s inspiration were not in vain), as well as a chic musical taste and that the ability to choose the most ideal and sometimes even delightfully and brilliantly lying on the video soundtrack, Matthew Vaughn managed to develop a completely unique directorial vision that allowed him to incredibly expressively and colorfully embody one of the old ones, which was ashamed of everyone’s true thoughts, but it was just to sound them again. Moralists, Puritans, the so-called "fighters of public morality and morality", children, cowards, pregnant women, people who do not tolerate the sight of blood and severed limbs - I say right away - the film is strictly contraindicated to you. For, oh yes, these two thoughts are: punish evil, as Americans like to say, kick ass, and punish it cruelly. Exactly as it deserves. In this sense, you will not find more picturesque illustrations of the well-known and beloved expression “good will bring evil to its knees and brutally kill.” Yes, you can have seemingly endless debates on the topic “what about non-resistance to evil by violence”, “you can not be like evil, descending to its level”. But all this, in fact, is nonsense and heresy, when you see how absolutely consciously, being aware of their abominable actions, the so-called “people” commit atrocities, multiply cruelty and violence, kill the innocent, frame the noble, cripple the psyche, corrupt and destroy society in favor of their lowest animal interests, irreparably mutilate fate. And then the cup of patience (Kick-Ass and Papani with the Killer) of good is overflowing and the time of holy and long-awaited reckoning, uncompromising revenge and fair reprisal comes. Ended creatures must be killed according to their bastard deeds and inner abomination. Alas, but the dirt can not be corrected - do not indulge in illusions and do not be naive blind. I will end the thought for some and controversial, but for me absolutely accurate words of the hero Jean Renaud from the movie “Empire of wolves” – “to overcome evil, you need to be evil.” Of course, in certain (not for everyone, unfortunately) senses and degrees – but this is true, no matter how your prejudices and errors prevent you from recognizing this simple and deceptively immoral truth.
But it’s time to move on to the Dream, excite the consciousness of mankind, probably with the appearance of the first comics about Superman (unless, of course, not earlier, because the deepest disappointment in the government bodies of protection of the individual appeared almost along with the birth of these very bodies). Yes, he is a hero of the people, a “perfectly successful ratio of optimism and naivety”, drops of madness and endless romanticism, as well as a chasm of naked enthusiasm; a desperate, selfless and fearless fighter for justice and the victory of good over evil. No, no, you heard right: not a nerd bitten by a radioactive spider, not a billionaire with a Batmobile and not even an invincible alien god from Kryptonia, because of his perfection and unreality bored everyone pretty quickly - no, this is a hero from the people who have nothing to lose and who is driven by the great Dream and, no matter how banal it sounds, the sense of responsibility - only it is fundamentally different from the traditional "the greater the power, the greater the responsibility", because here they say: "there is no power - there is no responsibility." Only this is not true, which is called to express the will of the people to punish evil, and to help those in need of help. Not just wanting, but really helping – whether it’s saving a cat or fighting with a gang of gopniks one on five. In this sense, the film is painted in a very unusual, genuine and captivatingly realistic and even naturalistic (Rating R, thanks to Kick-Ass I enjoyed all the charm of your infrequent, but such a pleasant visit) tone, which is wildly new, cool and joyful. Why the hell couldn’t anyone have thought of such a simple and brilliant idea – to become a superhero for real and without jokes with fantasies?
Summary: This film can be said very differently, because we have a unique opportunity to observe a rattle-thermonuclear mixture of seemingly incompatible elements - and an extraordinary comedy-parody-kick-in-the-ass comedy from Marvel DC with their fashion for noir and realism, and criminal drama, as well as the most touching and filled with the highest, truly Shakespearean tragedy, the story of Papani and the Killer, a musical action movie, a fascinating meat grinder, a comic book, melodrama, a story of a teenager about the realistic formation of the world with a real superhero, and a fundamentally new genre of music, opens up to our breathtakingly beautiful scenery, with a superherochy, and a superherochy, it is a super-sounding to our breathtakingly beautiful scene. But first of all, it is a film-Dream, a film-idea, an incredibly hooligan, truly fresh and innovative picture that either cuts down completely, selflessly admiring and falling in love with yourself seriously and for a long time, or leaves in bewilderment with a bunch of contradictions irreconcilable for consciousness, or in unequivocal rejection and misunderstanding. Cinema created by romantics (with a cynical sense of humor, oh yes) and for romantics, incredibly inspired, beautiful and inspiring, in its own way even somewhat avant-garde-arthouse, an icon of a new style, the main film of the last at least 5 years, one of the most iconic films of zero, the cry of generations, a symbolic cast of such a mad, but such our time, enchanting, strong, unreal expressive, colorful, beautiful and just very catchy work of modern art, definitely staked its place under the sun, the film, finally, in Russian history.

We see that someone in trouble, and we want to help him, but we do not interfere. ?
One of the creators of the original comic book “Kick-Ass” John Romita Jr. had his hand in the development and adaptation of such a character from the comics as Luke Cage, who was the childhood idol of actor Nicholas Coppola and in order to make his way the actor changed his famous surname, taking the pseudonym of the drawn character. And now all the now famous Nicholas Cage in the film adaptation of the comic “Kick-Ass” plays one of the main characters – a certain “Daddy”. And you can find a few more coincidences, because the young actors Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Evan Peters recently appeared in other adaptations of the comics, playing the same character – the mutant “Mercury”. Christopher Mintz-Plasse won a dispute for his role with Clark Duke in Super Pepper (2007). In general, who is interested, you can still see the intersections of those who applied the ability to create “Kick-Ass”.
Now for the movie itself. Its original name was not exactly localized. Firstly, there is no analog word or combination in our language, and the most approximate sounds like “Subscriber”, which, you will agree, is unethical. So the comic was adapted as “Mordoba”, and the film according to the favorite word-parasite student Alla from the series “Univer”. And "Kick-Ass" is not an all-conclusive name, it is a nickname taken by an ordinary schoolboy Dave Lizewski, who was brought up in comic book culture and decided to rule justice on the streets. But he does not have superpowers, for which he is mercilessly beaten in the first fight. But he does not stop and later meets the trained Avengers of Good - thereby "Daddy", played by Nicholas Cage, and "The Killer" (Chloe Grace Moretz), the daughter of "Daddy", who has the skills of weapons and hand-to-hand combat. And they will face a local gangster Frank D’Amico (Mark Strong).
And judging by the beginning of the film, it is clearly made in a comedic vein. But gradually you begin to realize that comedy is just a mask behind which there are serious things. For example, “Kick-Ass” is against people passing by when lawlessness happens. People have become cynical and callous, which defies the stereotypes Dave Liszewski drew from the comics. This alienation and even cowardice is shown in the trends of the current generation: instead of helping a person, everyone stands at a safe distance and shoots it on mobile phones. Alas, this is the sarcasm of our modern existence. The villains in the film are not funny hardheads, they kill without hesitation and, you know, how the movie "Kick-Ass" is not devoid of a certain tragedy. Due to stunt tricks "Kick-Ass" has signs of the genre of fiction, because in what is seen there is no plausibility, but the action is maintained at a high level and there is something to see.
Special mention should be made by casting specialists, because here the mosquito will not undermine the nose, so competently the cast was chosen. Aaron Taylor-Johnson famously embodied the character: a schoolboy with the ideas of maximism and the desire to be a hero - there are many of them in the classroom, but not everyone will dare to fight with several Gopniks, and even protect a stranger. Chloe Grace Moretz was even better. Well, because she had a lot of action scenes and the girl juicy showed villains where crayfish winter. Nicholas Cage unexpectedly, after frequent failures of recent times, showed a stable and convincing game. Mark Strong always knew how to build an impenetrable face and show everyone a fierce villain, his game in “Kick-Ass” is confirmation of that. Christopher Mintz-Plasse, who auditioned for the role of Dave Lizewski, turned out to be a good choice for Red Ugar, another high school student who thinks he is a superhero, but he is pursuing his goals. Lindsey Fonseca gave the inconspicuous Lizewski his first school love, and he deserved it. But Clark Duke and Evan Peters took the opportunity even in small and caricature roles, making several times frank smile.
Director Matthew Vaughn showed that even in the comic there are serious themes, shooting a complex and watchable picture. Vaughn was one of the producers of the cult "Map, money, two barrels" (1998) and "Big jackpot" (2000), and then he became a director and "Layer cake (2004)" together with "Stardust" (2007) and the same "Kick-Ass" proved that Vaughn is a versatile director who can always surprise and delight the viewer. In general, in "Kick-Ass" you are offered comedy, drama, action, and spectacle. It is worth reading at least once this unexpected version of the comic book.
I can't possibly die right now. I’ll lose so much, dad, friends, I’ll never know how Lost...
Lasers from the eyes, control of objects with the help of thought, gamma rays from space, radioactive insects, etc., etc. Superheroes have chosen big screens and now they, not Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Mel Gibson save the world from year to year. Naturally, the guys with superpowers have become idols of millions of children around the world and the latter dream in reality, and that if they had a healing factor, invisibility, or even the ability to control the minds and hearts of ordinary people. Well, besides the kids, the dreamers were Hollywood producers who wanted to get as many dirty green boom-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a story about people who thought they were superheroes but lacked superpowers. “Batman” at that time was busy what to do with “Darendeville” while no one knew, it was very memorable was a feature film with Ben Affleck in the title role. What do we do? Can we go back to the original sources, to the comics? There are stories about superheroes without superpowers. Indeed, there are such stories. They are not that many, but still enough and perhaps the most famous of them, if you do not take the story of a guy in a bat costume, is Kick-ass, which is quite difficult to translate into Russian, it is for you and “Mordoba” and “Asshole” and much more. Our distributors decided not to wisely crafty and call the film simply and tasteless, as always, namely - "Kick-Ass".
Dave Lizewski is an ordinary Japanese high school student ... so, stop, something is wrong. Dave Lizewski is a typical American teenager. Here! That's different. And as an ordinary American teenager, he is invisible, both at school and at home. He cannot find a common language with the opposite sex or stand up for himself. Well, his friends are as unremarkable people as he is, perhaps even more unremarkable, although it seemed — much more? At times like this, I wonder: If in the opinion of filmmakers Dave is a typical teenager, how in this world still works and why did not fall apart? After all, if every third person is invisible with low self-esteem and prefers not to get out of the house, what will this world come to? The zombie apocalypse? Yeah, except for him. Oh, come on. So a young hero, outraged by the injustice and indifference that reigns in the world, decides to fight crime. He orders a suit from an internet agazine, takes a pair of batons and takes to the streets of the city to... get a knife in the chest and be hit by a passing car? Well, yes, the path of a superhero is difficult and thorny, especially if, besides naked enthusiasm, you can not oppose anything to criminals.
It would seem that the story could end there, but no. Dave Lizewski does not graze before difficulties and even though he now has a metal plate in his head, and some of his nerves have died out, he still wants to be a superhero that will save the innocent and helpless. Well, I have no choice but to wish him luck, since the boy is clearly not good with her.
In addition to the storyline of Dave in the film there are several more stories, the most curious of which is the one that tells about Diamond Macready, a former police officer and now a masked vigilante who calls himself “Daddy”. It would seem, well, ex-cop, well, a vigilante, what's the big deal? And here the thing is that Diamond Macready is a man with a completely destroyed psyche, who looks at the world with a crazy look of Nicholas Cage and who decided to turn his little daughter into a weapon of revenge. Little Mindy doesn't play with dolls, braid braids and go to school like other kids. Instead, she learns gun handling, hand-to-hand combat, and the ability to kill. The fact that the “daddy” took away the baby’s childhood and did not give her anything in return does not really worry – the goal justifies any means and soon the “daddy” together with his daughter nicknamed “The Killer” will loudly declare themselves, starting to kill bandits that work for the leader of the criminal world Frank D’amico.
There is nothing to say about the latter, well, the criminal boss, well, he has a son who is an idiot and most people without imagination and brains work for him. Well, yes, he played Frank - Mark Strong and played perfectly, but the viewer could see such bad guys more than once or twice, so the jester with him. Much more important is that in this film all the components of the film work, but the emotions they cause depend on whether you think about what you see or convince yourself that this is an entertaining movie, for which you can pass the time well.
Judge for yourself. We have a protagonist who compensates for his lack of intelligence with charm and naivety. I’m going to do something heroic and everyone will love me. Yes, naively, yes stupidly, but Dave is exactly a teenager who has not forgotten how to believe in Chades. But there will be no miracles and life will repeatedly beat the main character in the face, but hang him arses. Cruel, mean and... in the best traditions of this world. But in order for the viewer not to pay much attention to the failures of the main character, we have a harsh and charismatic gangster, as well as two new superheroes. Who to cheerful music turn bandits into mince. And again, if you don’t think about what is in the life of “Killer” in addition to violence, everything looks very cool. Blood, guts, someone smeared on the wall, something blown up... oh, and there’s no way Dave can tell his newfound girlfriend that he’s not gay and that he likes her, hey, hey, hey, ha, ho.
Outcome? In fact, this film is not bad, more than good. It can provide both food for the mind and a top-notch entertainment show with chases, shootouts, fights and explosions. But whether it will cause positive or negative emotions here depends on the worldview of the individual. It’s not so much a new word in superhero cinema as an opportunity to look at what’s happening from a different angle. Regarding the morality that everyone can be a superhero and for this you do not need to commit some great deed, but just do not pass by a person who is beaten by a bunch of scum, then it is correct, another question - will it be heard?

The film left a double impression. At some points I almost clapped with delight, and somewhere in the middle I wanted to turn it off - all in less than 2 hours of screen time. Strange movie.
What you like and don’t like:
100% hit: Big Daddy and Hit Girl. The only drawback of these two was their lack of screen presence - I wanted much, much more. In the second film, almost all the action revolved around the Killer, which made it much more interesting for me than the first, although here I am, as far as I know, in the minority. Nicolas Cage and Chloe Grace Moretz were perfect in the images, have not seen such a good game from Cage for a long time. The girl was generally surprised - I do not like children in films, they usually do not know how to play, but they pale only on the way, causing simply unthinkable irritation. And here Killer just stole the whole movie, amazingly charming and talented actress, I could not take my eyes off, so beautiful. And the relationship of dad and daughter was very touching shown, for me they were the funniest and at the same time the most catchy moments in the film.
The second life plus for me was Mark Strong and all his minions. The scenes with them have always been the most rusty, however, Mark Strong does everything better, such a talent he has.
Evan Peters even in such a third-plan role managed to outplay everyone, that’s what a brilliant actor means.
Now for the minuses. I understand that the film in some sense was a breakthrough of black humor in superhero cinema, trampling the path of a chic Deadpool, but I can not ignore them.
The protagonist. I did not imbue him with his awkward teenage charm, to be honest, and when he does not cause much sympathy, all the stupidities that he does do do not cause tenderness or sympathy, but irritation. I won’t forgive him for the turning point in the movie (I don’t want to spoil it). In the end, it seems to be animated, everything next to the beautiful Chloe becomes better and more interesting, but in the middle of the film I really wanted to turn off his bewildered face. And I say quite subjectively - many people like this type very much, because he was taken to such a difficult role, just something did not understand me.
The second drawback is his rival, Red Mist. Again, purely subjectively, I didn’t like it outwardly and irritated the whole film with my manners. I understand that the cartoon character is exactly the humor of the film, but Mark Strong portrayed the villain-mafia so that I was lying, and this puppy did not even cause a smile with his eternal whining and stupidity.
The film itself, in general, also came out uneven. Protracted beginning of acquaintance with Mr. and his so-called superhero. It was like fresh water, Big Daddy and Hit Girl. The disassembly of Mark Strong and his henchmen with enemies - all scenes are simply super rusty. Then some terrible sagging in the middle, mainly associated with the love anguish of the years, his search for himself, etc. I wanted to turn it off at this point. But then everything as it turns out - Papa and Killer, captivity, revenge, bazooka - I jumped straight in delight, so cool was the action at the end (in terms of action, not in terms of special effects, of course, they did not smell there).
I think I would have liked the movie a lot more if I had seen it in my time and not after Deadpool. Now you inevitably compare, and the comparison, of course, is not in favor of Kickass: in Deadpool and humor is cooler, and there are special effects, and the action flies at the speed of light, not a single yawn for all 2 hours, and in general Kick-Ass looks like a cheap fake now. But I don't think it's bad either, of course, many scenes and dialogues - just finds, especially all with Killyvashka and Mark Strong - hugging and crying. To watch the film is even mandatory, but I do not know about the re-view, except for individual moments.
If only Tarantino started shooting youth comedies. .
After watching the trailer for this movie a long time ago, I was sure that it was some wildly lame parody in the spirit of “Vampire Hickey” or worse: I was just sure of it! I was never going to watch it.
But one day, it was in the evening, there was nothing else to watch on TV and I took a chance! Though I thought I wouldn't be enough for a long time, God forbid I switch in the first few minutes, and suddenly... The story sucked me literally from the first minute! I was very surprised.
The humble guy is a loser, close to everyone, teenage problems, and the question that subconsciously tormented probably everyone who has ever watched superhero movies: “Could I be one?” Why not me? Deep down, I'm sure that's everyone's dream. .
At first, the film looks like a youth comedy mixed with Spider-Man (with Tobey Maguire). But then it goes abruptly into the genre of Quentin Tarantino, with scenes of outright cruelty, bloody reprisals, and other unpleasant shit that puts a lot of pressure on the brain and leaves a spooky sediment. Especially since all the most violent scenes in the film are performed by a little girl killer (Chloé Moretz). It looks very wild, and definitely in the spirit of Tarantino, he would obviously like, although in my memory, he himself did not reach this kind of thing, they clearly surpassed him - "well done". If you think of "Leone" when you say "killer girl," forget it's not that. Though the thought probably licked from there.
If you do not pay attention to this propagandized child cruelty, seasoned with cheerful music (which makes the picture even more wild), the film is surprisingly interesting, funny, youthful, with a bright picture.
People with a mobile nervous system do not recommend watching and children too.
The feeling is very mixed, as is the genre of the film.
For comedy +
For cruelty -
I will consider this film as a comedy.

There are always movies on the list that contain black humor. I didn’t want to watch the movie “Kick-Ass” for a long time because of the plot and title, because I was laughing loudly and I hadn’t seen the movie yet. I am not a fan of such “dumb” comedies, but I decided to take a chance and watch. It turned out that it was not so bad.
If you’re looking for a deeper meaning, this movie isn’t for you. Take the Kingsman movie for example. What's the point? Blood and black humor. Same situation here. Throughout the film, we see a parody of superheroes with a huge amount of mat and blood. Yes, places it all looks funny, but there were moments when I just wanted to close my palm and forget some - what episodes.
The acting made me happy. Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Chloe Grace Moretz are amazing actors. I only watched for them. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw Evan Peters and Nicholas Cage. Everyone played a great role and I have no complaints about that. As for the soundtracks, they are as if they were created for the film.
This film can be watched if you are a fan of “sharp jokes” and violence does not bother you. Also, fans of parodies will love the movie.
In my world, heroes only existed in comic books. All right, if scumbags were fiction too, but they're real.
Disclaimer:
Being a huge fan of Chloe Grace Moretz, I decided to write reviews for all the films in which this wonderful actress took part. Don't expect my writing and my fair share of objectivity.
What am I willing to do to help my neighbor? Few people ask such questions these days. And if they ask, they catch the surprised glances of others, as if they see a psychopath in front of them. This is the 2010 film Kick-Ass. This time, domestic localizers were very soft, calling the film simple and tasteful – Kick-Ass. And the hero of this work also did not ask such a noble question. Instead, he simply asked, “Why doesn’t anyone try to be a superhero?” Yeah, it wasn't Metropolis, it wasn't Gotham City, and there weren't any Avengers flying around the New York he lived in. All this guy from childhood watched in the pages of comics. And, you will agree, the idea that heroes are fiction, and villains are quite real and cruel, and that this is unfair is not so delusional. And even though this decision was made under the influence of 20-page magazines with pictures of not quite formed consciousness, it happened as it happened. Dave (this is the name of the newly-minted crime fighter) dresses up in his super diving suit, armed with super improvised means and a shocker, and goes to conquer all visible space, discouraging everyone with the purity of intentions, the size of ambitions and a moronic appearance. But in the opinion that he is a pioneer in this business, Dave is deeply mistaken. At the same time, less public, but more specific two in costumes are doing business in the city - Damon and Mindy McCready, Damon's 11-year-old daughter. These two will give odds to other police officers in terms of physical training and other comic-book villains in terms of cruelty.
Matthew Vaughn and Mark Millar. This duo definitely worked out well, because in the future 2015 they will remove Kingsman, who will not be inferior to Kick-Ass either in black humor or in satire on the genre, but this is a completely different story. No one had ever made a comic book movie like that before. I applaud them for their courage.
The operator did his job very well, but the composer surpassed him. A bright soundtrack, emphasizing wild action in other places, irony in others, will be remembered for a long time by the viewer. This is not some Avengers, where watching a colorful picture do not think about music in the background for a second. This is different.
And finally, the most delicious part is the cast. Aaron Taylor Johnson, who some time ago grew up in Quixilver from the second part of the Avengers, will remain in my memory forever in the image of a clumsy superhero with two clubs in his hands. The most important thing in the work of the actor is that the audience believes him. You believe Aaron unconditionally. Excellent work. Christopher Mintz Plass, who played the son of a mobster in the image of the superhero Bloody Carrot, who coincidentally is also called Christopher, also worked very well, although in some moments he overplayed a little. But Nicholas Cage I think this is not in its place. I think Damon's fortune would have been better conveyed by someone like John Travolta. Well, the most colorful character is of course Killer in the role of the incomparable Chloe Grace Moretz. For Chloe, the role of the Killer became fateful, because it was after her that she became a star of the first magnitude. It turns out that Chloe owes her fame to the comic, and I wouldn’t be surprised if in the future she will appear in film adaptations. Recently, there was some kind of negotiation about the role of Mary Jane in the new Spider movie. Little Chloe played the killer for years professionally. No one else would have played like this, and for many fans of Chloe Grace Moretz will forever remain a little avenger. And personally, I watch this film see the Killer, not Chloe, which I can not say about her other films – she is so suitable for this role, although it is noticeable that she takes a high bar for herself being even a couple of years older than her heroine. Chloe’s role is one she can be proud of.
I won’t discover America if I mention that the movie is based on a comic book. After some time after watching, I wanted to read the original source, which I advise you, if you want to learn more about the characters. I want to say that some of the events of the film go against the original. It's probably common practice, but the final tragedy of Damon was better in the comic. Because it's truer. It is also unclear why Genovese changed his name to Damiko. The overall concept of the film is somewhat softened relative to the comic, otherwise the film would risk NC-17 rating. Definitely a positive point is that the director did not follow the path of the comic book and begin the story with what led the hero his path. Well, at least he doesn't illustrate it. And completes the film with a hint that it was not he who starred in the comic book, but the comic book was released after all this. Indescribable arrogance in a good owl sense. I also want to say a few words about the translation into Russian. On the one hand, the replaced pseudonyms of the characters look ridiculous (Kick-Ass, for example, in the comic book is called Mordoboy, and Killer - originally Heath-Girl), on the other hand, the localization is created with a creative approach and in the general absurd-satirical concept of the film looks very useful, especially together with the translation in free form, by the type "-You hatched?" - Nothing..."
As a result, we have an excellent black comedy with a good cast, meaningful dialogue and a dynamic plot, which everyone must familiarize themselves with. And preferences for comics in this case do not play a role.
Kick-Ass how much controversy caused at the time of the release of this film, someone considered it a cult, someone hated with all his soul, there were few indifferent. But by and large, the film was created deliberately shocking, as in fact the comic book on which it was shot.
Kick-Ass is primarily a work of humor, rather satirical. But at the same time it has a whole, albeit simple plot. He is both a superhero action movie and a parody of this genre. Because of this, there is a dissonance between dialogue and battle scenes.
The most important thing about the film is its aesthetic. Only here the bloody murders committed by a little girl to cheerful music do not cause disgust, but on the contrary look funny. And yet they are harmoniously combined with any tragic scenes, and typical American humor.
Matthew Vaughn somehow incomprehensibly mixes different genres and styles so that in the end you get an interesting, stylish, although somewhat unusual movie.
Hello there! What do you know about superheroes? As a rule, these are people with superpowers, who received them as a result of mutation, or some aliens. The most important thing you know about them is that they don’t exist. But the film “Kick-Ass” tries to answer the question: what would happen if ordinary people dressed in costumes and went to save the world?
Director. This rather simple picture with a simple plot director is not the easiest. Matthew Vaughn is the director who gave the public X-Men: First Class, Stardust and others. "Kick-ass" Vaughn turned out quite tasty. A very original idea, the director's idea was presented qualitatively, it was decorated again competently. Matthew in the director's chair is not often, but a pity. He's doing pretty well.
SCENARY. As mentioned earlier, the film is enjoyable to watch. Much because of the script. It goes almost 2 hours, but not boring, although everything is chewed in great detail. Of course, there is a stamping, but where without it? It looks easy and interesting, the brain does not load.
Special effects. If superheroes aren’t real, you don’t need any special effects. That's probably what the filmmakers thought. Do not think, the action here is decent, I would even say spectacular. The graphics were not used much, but where it is, it looks beautiful, and the natural part pleased. But, judging by the content of fights, children can not watch.
MUSIC. I liked the musical accompaniment. The film mainly featured well-known songs such as Prodigy's "Omen" and Halfcocked's "Bad Reputation". The composers mainly worked on background music, which is just not particularly noticeable to the viewer, but a good and at the same time original soundtrack, I still noticed.
Actors. At its core, “Kick-Ass” opened the “road of fame” for at least two talented actors (or rather, an actor and an actress). As always, I will highlight the most visible ones.
AAron Taylor-Johnson. ("Godzilla, "Kick-Ass 2", "Anna Karenina"). When “Kick-Ass” came out, no one knew this guy, and only after “The Age of Ultron” did they really start to recognize him, but it is obvious that this film became a fulcrum for him on the way to his fame. After participating in the sequel to this film, he was called for the main role in Godzilla, and his Pietro from the Avengers fit well into the team, although he did not look bright. Ironically, he was a man who portrayed a superhero with no power, and now in another movie he has that power. And about his work in "Kick-Ass" I will say that I liked his play, the character of life. It was interesting to watch a young boy grow into a superhero.
Chloë Grace Seas. ("Kick-Ass 2, "Guardian of Time", "Dark Shadows"). She is an actress to whom Hollywood opened its arms even more willingly than to Aaron. She played really cool, despite the fact that she didn’t look like a 12-year-old girl, but that’s the image, I’m sure. It is not surprising that after “Kick-Ass” she began to be called to good projects more often.
NICOLAS CADGE (", Faceless, Rock, Ghost Rider) and MARK STRONG ("Sherlock Holmes, John Carter, Robin Hood). Without veterans, "Kick-Ass" did not do. I put these two actors together because they both played well and had secondary roles. If everything is clear with Mark: he is a villain - it suits him, then everything is not so clear with Nicholas. He doesn’t play the role of good guys. I just can't! He played well, but he will always be Custer Troy for me.
Outcome. "Kick-Ass" is a cute movie, with a terrific idea that's done well. A little lack of dynamics, but a decent plot and actors. This picture is quite natural, so the rating is 18+ (Violence and explicit scenes). Although the film is good overall, but I recommend watching only those who are attracted to the “superhero” theme. I liked the movie, but I don’t want to watch it again. Thank you very much.
A short-sighted, eye-catching misunderstanding and a pupil of traditional American pop culture, five days a week sitting pants in high school, named Dave Lizewski once decided to try on the role of a superhero in a completely selfless quest to help others and, wearing acid-gold tights and a mask, challenges organized crime on the streets of his hometown. Only to implement it is not so easy when it turns out that he does not have the proper skills or resources for this.
Well, tell me, does it make sense at all to worry about the main character, who does not drown in water, does not burn in fire and manages to get out unharmed from any seemingly hopeless situations? A bullet like nuts and a brick on the head is like the palm of a beloved mother on the back of the head before going to bed. That’s the privilege of superheroes and any other good comic book characters—they’re invulnerable. They also have superpowers. Or super resources. Such a hero simply can not but win - we are stuck and worry about him does not make sense. It's banal and uninteresting. And where there is banality, inevitable and predictable. All of them are similar in their own way, these knights of cloak and dagger, cozy feeling on the pages of graphic novels. Some were born heroes, others trained long and hard to become heroes. This is the only thing that distinguishes them.
But the brainchild of the British Matthew Vaughn “Kick-Ass” gives us the opportunity to look at this situation from the other, mirror side – what will happen if the superhero becomes the most ordinary person? “Kick-Ass” consciously breaks the concept of any comic book previously seen by the viewer and plunges us headlong into everyday reality, without unnecessary conventions and assumptions. However, it is worth mentioning immediately and it is fair to note that Wang is still not a pioneer in this direction - a year earlier, the world saw a picture of a similar topic, albeit less successful. But it is Wang’s film that overturns the previous genre trend and breaks the stereotypes that have already become obsolete. Moreover, “Kick-Ass” is not a banal parody tape, but a subtle ironic mockery, brazenly dancing on the bones of a traditional comic book, and in addition seasoned with luscious and picky black humor.
The main character, played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, after reading comics and eating fast food, goes on the path of war with local crime and immediately, after the first serious skirmish, receives a stab wound in the stomach and a fracture of both legs, once again convinced of how inhospitable reality can be. However, the promising newcomer notices and subsequently takes under his wing the tandem "Papani" and "Killers" - real superheroes, whose duo at night and in secret from everyone like a kitchen blender breaks the bones of the fighters of the crime syndicate Frank D'Amico. Wang's film is teenage and frivolous in spirit, but adult and cynical in its inner content, while at the same time only emphasizing the stagnation of classic, ordinary comics. Here high school students are idle, sitting for hours on the Internet, and along the way composing how to quickly drag into bed a classmate they like, and an eleven-year-old teenage girl ruthlessly slices into pieces of alien mafiosi, spraying liters of blood on the walls and not disdaining matrine. Well, self-made, made hastily and from improvised means, costumes of local superheroes only focus on the authenticity and realism of the world shown on the screen. Moral, presented by the screenwriters in the context of a joyless monologue coming from the mouth of the main character, who has lowered his head, also sounds life-affirming and devoid of pink snot: a superhero is, you know, not such an enviable share - constant bruising and receiving on muzzles, loneliness and inability to be completely frank with loved ones and others. And no thanks for the latter.
As for the actors and their personalities, everything is in full openwork: the hero of Taylor-Johnson, despite his naivety and spontaneity, cannot but arouse sympathy, if only simply because he has clear, and most importantly - correct, ideas about the nature of good and evil and does not shun his noble impulses in the desire to help his neighbor. In our time, when others do not care about each other, and heads are filled only with thoughts to fill pockets with green banknotes - it is expensive. Mark Strong is convincing in his villainous element, and Nicholas Cage, wearing a suit that eerily resembles you know whose, confirms his long-forgotten reputation as a talented dramatic actor. Well, here we come to the most interesting heroine, perhaps she is not the most important, but definitely the brightest: Chloe Moretz and her Killer. A real charming and charming child, and in combination - an evil dwarf and an angel of death, for whom there is no greater joy in life than to release the intestines of a nearby supostat or feed lead to a horde of evil enemies. Of course, we can reproach Van for places excessive vulgarity, rudeness, even immorality or prolonged timekeeping, but all these nagging and discontent will be outrageous and unfair, once you remember one absolutely stunning scene where the heroine Moretz in golfers, skirts and a snow-white shirt, clutching a shiny Sieg-Sauer with a silencer, to the accompaniment of the music of Ennio Morricone sends four bandages to the light. Isn't that beautiful?
Watching this movie happened to me late at 5 years.
I used to deliberately bypass the movie about superheroes, considering them stupid, I was pushed to "Kick-Ass" by Chloe Grace Moretz.
After watching Mindy (Chloe) burn out in this movie, I still regretted not seeing it sooner, but only because of her. Here she is a child, small and terribly cute, even when famously waving her blade, shuffling bodies like vegetables in salad and around the splash of blood. Here we go.
Mindi is not a typical girl who likes dolls, posh dogs and cartoons about fairies. Her dad raised her differently and she's excited about it. Most people think it’s wrong, because “Oh my God, what will become of this child when he grows up?” But pay attention to the line where the genre is described.
Dave is an unlucky guy who hangs out with his own kind, he can’t stand up for himself, can’t confess his feelings to a girl, but one day he decides to get out of his shell and start fighting for justice. The first time he is not very good, but the second time.
His appearance inspires Mindy and her caring dad and they decide to help Dave. Heroes face dangerous bandits, sometimes they win, sometimes they are betrayed, sometimes they are forced to lose. .
I was pleased with the presence of Evan Peters, although it was not a frequent thing to contemplate him.
And now general impressions
Good special effects, everything is done perfectly.
The main character did not like it, he has something annoying and open story about what he likes to do most, being at home, caused disgust at him from the very beginning.
Music:
I was pleasantly surprised to hear at the end of the film The Pretty Reckless, one of my favorite bands.
Verdict: for the film kept the story of Mindy and her father, to look at the life of the main character was not special desire. I highly recommend Chloe's fans.
This is not a movie, dear audience. It's just a total Kick-Ass!
In fact, the film does not give a specific answer to this question – it just shows probably the best possible outcome in a given situation. And the outcome is, be happy that at least you're still alive. I don’t care if you were beaten, if your bones were replaced with metal prostheses, and the nerve endings were covered with a copper pelvis – the main thing is that you just survived. But even this can be considered a great success.
Despite the fact that it seems that the film will bribe with its realism, this is not quite so. I would even say that there is no realism in the film (unlike, say, a comic book). And it's not even about Killer Girl, but rather about Kick-Ass. He was incredibly lucky throughout the film. A person with such luck simply cannot be a failure. He could have died a thousand times, but fortunately he remained alive and continued his superhero adventures. But Frank D'Amico was right when he said he would probably end up being killed. That would be true. But we have a movie here, which means that the main character does not die.
In general, the plot canvas of the film more less coincides with the plot canvas of the comic, but the film is not so cruel, not so bloody, not so realistic. You can laugh here even in the most dramatic moments, although I can’t say for sure whether it’s good or bad. Probably still bad, because at certain moments there should be a certain mood, which is not recommended to knock down.
As for acting, I will say one thing – this is not a film where you need to look at acting. Only Nicholas Cage and Mark Strong are really playing here (though you should expect them to). Chloe Moretz in the role of Killer Girl looks great, although there is more personal charm than acting genius. Aaron Johnson, on the other hand, seems too confident. He'd have more stiffness or insecurity, then it would have been like that.
In general, despite some shortcomings, the film turned out to be excellent – drive, funny, where it is necessary to be moderately cruel and realistic. I liked it primarily with its drive and excellent humor, coupled with a healthy portion of mat. The film doesn’t give a specific answer to the question, “Why hasn’t anyone become a superhero?” But I would say he shows it clearly. In reality, “everyone would get kicked in the ass.”
My score for the film is 10 out of 10. Bravo Matthew Vaughn.
"Hancock" was the first attempt, a kind of trial ball, which tested the readiness of the viewer for an ironic look at his hobbies comics. But "Kick-Ass" did everything smoothly and accurately, without any compromises and omissions. Not only is a completely incomprehensible guy chosen as the hero, but his hormonal arrhythmia, teenage prudence and tendency to masturbation are also quite clearly shown. Here the viewer can calm down, smile and calmly tune in to watching the parody, however, it was not here. The emotional tempo will constantly increase, and our hero, despite all his incomprehensibility, will pass his Path so original that Superman and Batman can only envy. Where history would tactfully slow down in a classic comic book movie, the creators of this film can without any hesitation sacrifice one of the characters. And all this happens so suddenly that even severed hands and feet can not surprise anyone. Incredibly similar to Batman Big Dad and Heath Girl will be incredibly infernal, giving the tape a real drive. In general, in my opinion, an amazing find to take on the most “powerful” role of a cute blonde girl. Even Aaron Taylor-Johnson looks less of a misunderstanding. However, it is on such breaks of the template that the film “gets out” offering a fascinating and bright show, playing the most famous mythology of our time. At the same time, Matthew Vaughn does not forget to skillfully tease the consumerism of viewers twice more. Remember how two guys will cynically look at each other, skillfully using live TV to beat up their best friend when seducing a girl. And how quickly will line up with their gadgets regulars of the cafe, when the Kick-Ass will be desperate to save the life of some passer-by.
Thus, instead of another Marvel gangfight, we get an unpredictable postmodern interpretation of the genre, offering a cocktail of humorous sketches and spectacular passages. Needless to say, even became an eternal parody of himself, Nicholas Cage, looks quite worthy here.

“As any serial killer will tell you, fantasies get boring.”
First, a cry of delight: Matthew Vaughn is not Timur Bekmambetov, he kept the spirit of Millar’s comics (and he did not abuse the letter so much). But before I write any further, I must confess something shameful. I like the movie more than the comic book. And to be honest, I know why, although I can hide behind better revealed characters, behind a dislike for the style of Romita’s drawing, behind all the many virtues that I will list below... But let’s be honest, the movie is more comic. And that's why the soul is with him, because Dave is me, and it's more pleasant to associate myself with the guy who has a rocket pack, has sex, with the winner - with everything that is in the movie, not the comic. Millar wrote the script about being a superhero sucks and is not normal, Vaughn made a film about being a normal person is more important than being a superhero. And that’s where we end up talking about the Kick-Ass comic, no more about it, then just the movie.
Let's start where we finished. It’s not just easy to associate yourself with Dave—it’s impossible not to, even if you don’t want to (because it’s not flattering). Of course, I’m talking about myself, but at the end of the day I’m the target audience. But he doesn’t represent some kind of cliche, a grotesque loser – he’s a realistic character. That is why you unwittingly identify with him - he is a human being, not a combination of comics, spermotoxicosis and social maladjustment. The most amazing thing is that Papa and Murderer are also quite realistic types. At the same time, it is nice that there are many very gentle, truly family scenes. Well, you can imagine an intelligent dad and a cute daughter who are together passionate about something, collecting a scooter or fishing, for example. Replace fishing with mafia murder in this movie, and here are scenes from the movie. The killer, again, looks more like a child - swears less, loves his dad and tries to earn his approval. And her face, when she hears in the shelter that the bandit has gone for the bazooka, is exactly the same as her peers, when Dad finds a diary with a remark. Much better revealed and Bloody Garbage - his resemblance to Dave is not declared, but demonstrated - he too, in fact, no one, suffering, however, from rejection not so much school as the mafia environment. In his cunning plan, there is less cunning and more underlying desire to flaunt in tights. I don’t really understand how a two-hour movie has more characters than a comic book (oh, I promised I wouldn’t write that word anymore), but it’s not just Dave that’s revealed—everything is equally memorable.
The film is delivered incredibly well. Beautiful, original and exciting battle scenes (Vaughn really looks for and finds original solutions), incredibly funny moments (in fact, most of them, but the comedy “Kick-Ass” can not be called after all) – many of the lines are completely Millar, although not from the comic book in fact, emotional drama, great acting and sometimes non-trivial ideas – he is good on all levels. Yes, the phrase "I understood why people don't risk their lives for strangers when something valuable has appeared in my own life" may seem controversial - but not silly, and there are arguments to support this idea in the film. In addition, "Kick-Ass" offers an antithesis to this thesis - after all, Kick-Ass still helps in the end Killer.
It’s definitely a very, very talented film. It is necessary to note the extremely successful soundtrack - it not only creates a special atmosphere, but also falls into the soul, I regularly listen to it still. The fact that such a beautiful film remained virtually without awards and thundered clearly less than many much less talented films – in my opinion, a shame.
In the meantime, I'll join the Killer's fan army. You know, I've never been a big fan of all those goddesses and waifoos, but she's... Her charm cannot be resisted. It's John Rambo and Polly Pocket in the same bottle. In my superhero rating, she'll be right behind Rorschach... to hell with Rorschach!

Many, including the author of this article, have long been tired of superhero movies. Of course, they offer us beautiful special effects and soundtrack, but otherwise, more importantly, they are stupid, without morals or thought. About the picture “Kick-Ass” I thought exactly the same, because of which I did not go to the cinema. However, after reading a lot of positive reviews, I decided there was nothing to do. And unexpectedly for himself came into wild delight!
“I can’t die right now... I’m going to lose so much – Dad, friends... I’ll never know how Lost ends.”
The first half of the tape looks like a good parody of all the comic books combined. The humor in this part of the work, though black with black, but funny. At least it will make you smile. The plot and plot in general are excellent, there is intrigue throughout the viewing. Characters that seem at first glance classic, surprisingly very interesting and colorful. And it is worth noting that they are not only the main character.
From the middle of the comedy goes by the wayside, and on the first comes a criminal action movie with a slight taste of drama. You heard right! A drama with a teenager dressed in wacky green tights and a middle-aged man parodying the iconic DC Universe character! Surprisingly, despite all this farce, the heroes are naturally empathetic and sad in some tragic moments.
Another undoubted advantage of Matthew Vaughn’s work is definitely action. By the way, it is divided into two categories. And if the first is funny and clumsy (the main character is not in particularly good physical shape), then the second is spectacular (especially worth noting the final shootout) and cruel.
There is also music that fits perfectly into what is happening.
Verdict: unexpectedly great movie, with good action, drive music, and compelling actors. Best comedy film about super people in recent years.
How many big-budget films about people with superpowers, standing on the pedestal of society, protecting people, or vice versa, villains with dark and insidious plans. They almost pray for their heroes. A typical superhero movie and a typical dream of unrealized street guys.
Before the release of this film, to imagine an ordinary person without superpowers and great capital as a superhero was like imagining a ballerina among lumberjacks. But this film proved that standing up for the benefit of society and defending moral values and beliefs in a suit, and without showing your face, you can and without something outstanding and unrealistic – the main thing is to have a dream and heart. Here is a really noble, but such a simple character. A worthy idea that showed us that it is not so difficult to realize a dream, even one as unrealistic as being a superhero.
Mom, I want Kick-Ass for a holiday or what the hell is this mass-producer?
So, "Kick-Ass", 2010, USA.
Comedy action movie.
The plot introduces us to the usual teenager Dave, who, inspired by comics, tries to make the world a little better, wearing green tights and pretending to be a superhero. However, over time, the fascination becomes more serious and by chance Dave becomes on the path of war with the mafia, in which he is helped by two more costumed heroes - Big Daddy and his daughter Killer.
In other words, "Kick-Ass" is a graphic illustration of what would happen if superheroes were in our real world. No embellishment, no superpowers, no pathos.
The film contains many scenes of violence and black humor, so I do not recommend watching it for children. Although - what a sin to hide - this topic will not understand every adult.
The plot is a roughly speaking banter over the famous stamps, played in the comics - in particular, this is most clearly manifested in the arguments of the main character. With undisguised cynicism, the tape shows that it is not necessary to dress up in a stupid outfit to make the world a better place, and that in general sometimes this idea can be too expensive (for example, an episode at the very beginning of the film).
The plot is good, especially not twisted and measured - everything goes as usual, without sharp turns. But the action scenes can be considered the advantage of this film - also without excessive pathos - although sometimes they look rather clumsy, especially in the performance of Kick-Ass, but only adds realism to the picture, and involuntarily suggests that one day we too will be able to see such "heroes" on the streets of our cities, because everything is so simple.
The actors, playing the main and secondary roles, perfectly coped with the task set for them - Aaron Taylor-Johnson perfectly played the role of Kick-Ass - an ordinary, not outstanding teenager who decided to try himself in the role of a superhero; Nicholas Cage – although he has a small role, but significant – also well conveyed the image of a slightly moved policeman, who has his own methods of fighting crime; Chloe-Grace Moretz - in general, the find of this tape - looked very nice in the role of the Killer and her character causes sympathy from the viewer, despite the fact that special kindness and politeness does not shine. I also want to note Mark Strong, who played the role of archizlodey - also a colorful, charismatic, eccentric and interesting character turned out, for which it is pleasant and funny to watch in places, which also undoubtedly benefits the film. The character of Christopher Mintz-Plass against the background of all the above characters is lost and looks only as an addition first to one, then to another, although of course there is potential and the potential is very good.
Especially pleased with the soundtrack to the film – Henry Jackman, John Murphy and the rest of the composers (only 5 people like) composed wonderful compositions that add drive and the already crazy plot that goes only to the benefit of this tape.
The authors cynically languished over the very idea of superheroism in the real world and concluded that in order to change this world, you do not need to wear ridiculous outfits.
It is still difficult for me to define the unambiguous genre of "Kick-Ass" - everything is so confused. This is a comedy, and a thriller, and a criminal action movie, and a superhero movie, and a parody ... It's easier to say that "Kick-Ass" is a hardcore genre mix. That’s why I love this movie.
What's the story? The most ordinary kid, a loser and a slut, suddenly realizes a simple truth – to be a superhero, you do not need to have certain skills. The main thing is to have the will and will to resist evil. The boy becomes on the path of virtue, and, despite all the difficulties, becomes a local celebrity. What attracts the attention of people is much more powerful, both good and not very good.
Yeah, it's kind of a comedy, but there's enough violence in the movie. And all this is served so innocently (as innocently as he discusses with his father his “feats” Killer). About the Killer - it is her character "as if" hints that the whole film is one big parody of superheroes. If Kick-Ass brings superheroes closer to the common people with their clumsiness and lack of special skills, then Murivashka and Papanya hint that there is nothing to stick in the fight against organized crime if you do not have at least a couple of kilograms of C4 in your garage, and you are not an expert in certain hand-to-hand combat.
Here is the clash of two superhero natures - one simple and uncomplicated, the second - complex and practically non-existent.
The film is captivating primarily with its dynamics. All the scenes are shot in a very natural way, there are a lot of muzzle, gunfights, broken faces and crippled limbs in the film - if you like all this, then you will love the film. The great acting, especially Aaron Taylor-Johnson, has impressed me. Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Nicholas Cage and Mark Strong looked good. I will not say anything about Chloe Moretz - her character is too caricatured, so it is difficult for me to evaluate him somehow.
In short, the film is very good, dynamic, intriguing.
Honestly, when I bought this movie on DVD, I couldn’t have expected the spectacle it showed me. I remember that by the time the film was released on the big screens, many magazines and TV programs praised this film, not that they called it a masterpiece, but he still received his title of “Hit of the Month”, and they also said something there about Chloe, unknown to me.
Initially, I thought that I would see another parody of the type "superhero cinema", where there are stupid mockery of the then movie hits and no slack, a stupid plot with vulgar parodies and jokes, but I was wrong. By the way, the phrase: "from the creators of Big Kush and Maps, money, two barrels" made you think. A superhero film shot by a mastak of criminal films is something, the synthesis of crime and superheroes already speaks about the originality of the project. Intrigued, I took it anyway.
The first scene on the roof — and I’m out, sitting with gazed eyes, I don’t know whether to laugh or cry. Then everything gradually begins to develop like a typical American comedy about teenagers, bullies extorting money from the weak, talk about comics and canon masturbation. As usual. But our hero starts a conversation about heroism and gives, perhaps, just a catch phrase:
Why does everyone want to be Paris Hilton, but nobody wants to be Batman?
A few minutes later, he already puts on the mask of a super-hero and goes to administer justice, for which he gets juicy lyules, having grown stronger he returns to the streets again, this time very successfully, saving one scumbag from a horde of other thugs, he gets world fame on the Internet, feeling himself a meter above the Kick-Ass gets into the affairs of the mafia and meets the real heroes.
As soon as "Banana Splits" started playing from all the crevices, no matter how strange my metaphor sounded, a cute killer appeared on the screen, cutting drug dealers with some samurai sword, yes, the same Chloe Moretz, at that moment I signed up for her fan club. Damn it, 11-year-old girl, shining thug of all sizes to cheerful "La La La!-La La La!" is a fierce WIN! And when this beautiful child buckled a couple of Matyuks, I had tears from tenderness flowed.
How will I contact you?
- You call the mayor, he turns on the spotlight, and the shadow of a giant penis appears in the sky.
With all this trish absurdity here borders on the harsh seriousness of what is happening, the main antagonists are the mafia led by Mark Strong, which still inspires fear, they are not banal villains pushing pathetic speeches before making another attempt to kill a superhero, they really strike, they kill. Heroes in "Kick-Ass" are ordinary people, they are not super strong and do not have weaknesses to kryptonite, they can be killed by ordinary bullets. And once again I want to say that in the film there is an exact balance between seriousness and absurdity, here you will laugh and cry; from what emotions after watching will be doubly.
Visually and musically, the film is beautiful. Luxurious, dynamic fighting scenes are accompanied by the chic compositions from "Prodigy". Of those 30 lemons allocated for the film, they squeezed everything they could. The special effects look extremely convincing, the blood, of course, splashes in different directions not very realistic, but it is even good, what can be the high of a real brown blood? Scenes of hand-to-hand combat look even more spectacular from the fact that the picture in moments of blows is slightly shaken. A special high you will get from the scene where brutal Nicholas Cage deals with the mob under a wonderful cover of the sound to "28 Days Later".
In general, the film "Kick-Ass" turned out to be an exotic delicacy in the rather gray menu of a moviegoer. One of the best adaptations of the comics, which stood on the same level with "Guardians", "Scott Pilgrim" and "Sin City". And speaking of the comic...
I don't think it would be good for me to say anything about the comic that I bothered to read. Called by us "Asshole" he actually turned out to be not bad. Kick-Ass (original Asshole), Killer (Hit-Girl), Daddy (Big Daddy) in the comics are also present, the plot seems to be the same, but there is one such plot twist that completely blackens the reputation of all the characters. Dad still appears here as a bastard, and Killer is a real psychopath, Kick-Ass was a loser, and remained, no one gave him in the first part. It would be fair to say that there is no balance between absurdity and seriousness in the comic book, it is pure thrash with blood and dismemberment. "Kick-Ass 2" came as close as possible to the original, transferring all this orgy to the big screens, except that the mass shootings of children forgot the schizophrenia of the Killer.
I think I should say thank you to Matthew Vaughn, who did not completely copy the comic, and shot a full masterpiece without any flaws. Although I’m looking forward to the third film, I’m still sure that no director can beat it, and without Chloe Moretz, this series could be completely forgotten.
10 out of 10
"Kick-ass." Thank you to our distributors for this translation. How many people are going to watch a movie with that stupid name? Keep in mind that the stars in the film one or two, and cheated, he was shot on a little-known comic book, and the age rating is “up to sixteen”. I still don’t know what inspired me to watch. At some point I wanted to see the action movie, the look stopped at “Kick-Ass”...
I still bless this moment of choice. Because the movie just blew the roof off! In the place of distributors, I would call it not “Kick-ass”, but “Roofnose”. Or "Officer." And that would be the point!
A little bit about the plot... A simple teenage loser, Dave, after reading the comics, decides to become the world's first superhero. The courage of the guy is full, which can not be said about the mind and talent. Putting on an idiotic suit and coming up with a superhero nickname is not enough. You have to know how to fight. And Dave doesn't know how to fight, and in the fights his Kick-Ass gets just Kick-Ass. But at some point Dave was lucky - he fought more or less successfully, became famous. I met several other superheroes, both positive and not so good. It’s just a lot of fun.
Watching this wonderful film, I was constantly reminded of Tarantino’s creations. First, the same cheerful cruelty - it is not frightening, but, on the contrary, amusing. Especially when an 11-year-old girl cuts the villains into cabbage. Secondly, an exceptional quote. Even the most banal lines in the lips of the heroes sound whips and memorable. Not to mention a whole cloud of potentially "winged" phrases. In this regard, “Kick-Ass” can compete with “Pulp Fiction”. Dubbing is excellent - both in theatrical and uncensored versions.
Action scenes are just blowing the roof off. They are inventive, incredibly driven, each time you worry about the outcome of the fight. After all, the characters of “Kick-Ass” are just pretending to be superheroes, but in fact ordinary people, without superpowers. So you're really rooting for them. The special effects in the film are few, but full of true empathy, which is much more important.
Soundtrack - oh, it's something phenomenal! The whole film is played by hits from all over the world - Banana Splits, Bad Reputation, things from the band Prodigy, and even music from the films "Baster" and "28 Days Later"! Do you know how awesome it is to play this kind of music? After watching, I downloaded a whole lot of music to the player. You can not only watch the film, but also listen to it.
Black humor also accompanies the whole film. If you’re a fan like me, you’ll laugh a lot. There will be dramatic scenes, though. Where it's serious.
And the main plus of the film are incomparable characters!
Kick-Ass (Aaron-Taylor Johnson).
Comics lie everything. You don’t need a superpower to be a superhero. All you need is a perfect combination of optimism and naivety.
Stupid, clumsy, weak, naive, but resourceful and kind – here he is, our first superhero. Yes, Kick-Ass is very bad at fighting and dumb at every turn, but he has a big heart and is happy to help people. He is afraid (and who would not be afraid in his place of the ravines of Gopniks, later - and even gangsters?), but he does. If God has not given it to him, then he has to give it to him. It's hard not to respect such a hero. And his suit, of course, "killer" - a kind of big frog.
Bloody Ugar (Christophe Mintz-Plass).
The world of superheroes, right? As one genius once said, “They’ll know about me soon!” A teenager, the son of the main villain of the picture. Pretends to be a good superhero to bring Kick-Ass out. He doesn’t seem like a bad character to me (sometimes something positive wakes up in Ugar), but he’s still a villain. And I wouldn't love him if he wasn't so cool. And a little pathetic.
Daddy (Nicholas Cage).
Baby, postpone your homework. It’s time for Frank Domico to say goodbye.
I never loved Cage, a dull actor. But after "Kick-Ass," I confess I doubted. What, Nicholas Cage - and suddenly he plays great?! Miracles! As they say, a good director has everything. Dad's a really tough guy, and he's very sympathetic. Unlike Kick-Ass with Ugar, he deserves the motto of a real superhero - a great fight, puts whole gangs of bandits. And as he loves his daughter, his love borders on self-harm!
Murderer (Chloe Grace Moretz).
All right, goats, let's see what you can do. Eniks, beniki, ate ... dumplings!
There she is. Queen of the whole movie. A great character, every appearance of which causes a childish delight, uncontrollable. Seems like a cute 11-year-old girl, but looks often tricky. That you will be confirmed by the whole crowd of scoundrels carved out by this little scoundrel. The killer is a deadly weapon in the guise of a child, the second person in the film to be called a superhero. Little Fury - and you fall in love with her from her first appearance on the screen. Bravo, Chloe Moretz! It was the role of Killer and glorified Chloe (by the way, I doubt that Chloe will have another such awesome role). After watching “Kick-Ass” I immediately signed up for Chloin fans. Although there is a complexity - not a sluggish viewer will approve of the child, famously killing bandits on the screen and not shy in expressions. But I think the game was worth the candle. This is not Maria Kozhevnikova, who is scuffling in Dukhless, to end up with a moment of shame. Since the Killer became the audience's favorite, Chloe did not take risks in vain.
Frank Domico (Mark Strong)
We need to shut it down. No one comes in or out...until someone finds that asshole and pulls his lungs out his ass!
The main villain in the film (without the prefix “super”). A powerful and formidable mafia, ruthlessly dealing with enemies. He's going to be challenged by Kick-Ass and Dad-Assassin. Mark Strong played just fine, I applaud! I think that's his best role. The whole movie is scary (and sometimes funny). It causes hatred in half with a strange sympathy.
Cons of the movie. There are two for me. First of all, a stupid name. Even "Awesome" would be better. It’s not the film’s fault, thank you. Second, the repulsive initial episode of masturbation. When I saw it, I thought, ‘Wouldn’t I turn the movie off?’ If this scene were cut, it would be just wonderful, but alas...
Everything else just really liked it. "Kick-Ass" became my favorite movie, even supplanting "The Green Mile" with "Lord of the Rings." No Tarantino film has given me such incredible pleasure (I think Matthew Vaughn outperformed the master in terms of coolness). Even if you are scared off by the name “Kick-Ass” and shots with some weirdos in stupid costumes – still watch the movie, do not deprive yourself of the high!
At IMDB, “Kick-Ass” is one of the top 250 best films of all time – which I’m very happy about. And the rating on this site I say "fi" - it is not enough for such a masterpiece.
I'm not evaluating. The coolness of this film is measured in cosmic numbers.
In some places it is funny, sometimes it is black-humored, but as soon as the viewer thinks that he has figured out the genre of the film, the action immediately changes the style, like a chameleon – color. It began as a comedy, continued as a black humor action movie, and ended in something even a heroic drama (or it was a hyper-carefully disguised banter).
In the process of viewing, I wanted more certainty. If this is a parody of the comicoid consciousness of the average double-hamburger eater with Diet Coke, able to read only the captions to the pictures, then it should have continued in the same vein: it would have been extremely timely and appropriate. If this is an alternative comic book, then a fairy tale about an alternatively gifted superhero, a kind of Batman version of Forrest Gump, then what is the serious ending?
In general, throughout the film, it was not always clear how to react to what is happening - either to laugh kindly, or to empathize, or satirically giggle, or to brush away tears from your eyes. So I was mostly detached from what was happening, trying to figure out what the director wanted to say. And it seemed to me that he had, for all the outward parody and frivolity, a very serious film about growing up. The fact that if you get very used to the invented image, if you really want to help your neighbor, very much strive to eradicate injustice right here and now, despite the surrounding unfriendly reality, then it can work! And it does not matter what the hero is wearing - a Kevlar bulletproof vest or a ridiculous wetsuit. And it does not matter what the hero fights with a sword from Hatori Hanzo or rubber mallets. It’s important to believe in what you’re doing and not do it for yourself.
So it turned out not a parody and not a comedy, but an epic comic book on professional, at a superficial glance, material. The exception is that there are superheroes and evil will be punished. That's the karmic law.
The reviews for the film were very good. Grades, too. So I decided to get acquainted with this picture. Moreover, the second part has already appeared on the screens. Okay. I'm going to try to get the main thing straight.
In principle, “Kick-Ass” looks like the most ordinary youth action – a comedy about a superhero. Once upon a time - there was one simple guy - the quiet. He didn't go to rocking. I didn't hang out with cool dudes. I didn't even have the mental ability. However, this loser came up with a very serious idea - to become a hero. In general, I wanted a guy adventure, fame and attention of girls. The opposite sex did not pay attention to him. That's how Kick-Ass was born. Actually, his idea was born. In the first fight, the clumsy and weak hero received from the villains. And wrapped up. In the end, he became famous. Besides, I made a lot of acquaintances. Nice and not so good. Overall, the storyline reveals absolutely nothing new. Good will fight evil. Even if it wasn't very good. There's room for love. There's gonna be a bloody showdown. By the way, they're pretty good. Of course, the blood looks unreal. A little girl cracks down on enemies, not yielding to the brutal and pumped heroes of militants. Plus, all this happens to cheerful music. However, if you dig deeper, then everything is not so smooth. The first thirty minutes look like complete nonsense. The jokes are mostly pretty dumb. Do you know why so many people liked the movie? The answer is obvious. There are a lot of Dave-like teenagers sitting in front of monitors at home. They have problems with girls, perhaps, do not cooperate with peers. Therefore, such viewers, of course, such a character will flatter. However, if you come down from heaven to earth, reality is the opposite. You want to be strong? Practice. Smart? Learn and grow. You want to be a hero? Be him. Help your neighbor. That's it.
In the end, I want to say that the film is not bad at all. He's funny. Action - scenes are bribed. The music is catchy. But, this product, only for one-time viewing. If there is nothing else to watch. My assessment was influenced by action, good actors and music. The second part will need to be seen at leisure. I wonder what else they've come up with. Besides, there's Jim Carrey in the cast. Thank you all for listening.
