Very mysterious people. Good crime thriller. You can’t call him a fighter because there’s only one shootout at the beginning of the movie. A robbery is investigated throughout the film. It is very difficult to describe this picture, because a step to the left, a step to the right is a spoiler. I will describe the common features - one gangster is arrested along with a prostitute and trying to find out from them about one robbery that happened recently. Gradually, dangerous and sometimes very unexpected facts emerge in the course of the narrative. I will tell you more about the advantages of this picture:
1. History – everything revolves around it, it is very banal, but everything was set at a very high level. This reminds me of the movie “Suspicious Persons”.
2. Atmosphere - yes, I'm not crazy, there's an atmosphere. The weather throughout the picture is gloomy, it almost always rains, which catches up with despondency, the working methods of the Paris police, which are not much different from the gangsters, the type of police cameras and so on, they can be listed for a very long time.
3. The final is very, very good. I wouldn’t call it predictable, but I didn’t have a brain explosion. A lot of people didn’t understand the ending, even though the movie was confusing. Yes, it is - the film is really confusing, but in the final everything was clearly explained to us, and the whole tangle, twisting the whole film - unraveled. The finale did not slide into an outright farce, thank you to the creators for that.
Now I will paint the main characters of this picture:
1. Frank Chaevski, played by Richard Anconin, is a dangerous bandit with a very impressive list of crimes, nevertheless not devoid of some moral qualities. His personality is revealed in more detail in the picture itself. Let’s just say that he is a very outstanding person, and definitely deserves your attention. Richard tried very hard to have the audience on his side and supported him in everything - and he succeeded.
2. Nina Delgado, played by Anne Parillaud, is a girl with a lowered bar of social responsibility who was in the wrong place at the wrong time. It is very dangerous, although it would seem... Again, you will learn more about it, looking at the picture, believe me - it is worth it. I saw Anne in The Man in the Iron Mask and Nikita, where she played a very similar role. She is a good actress, but I won’t call her a genius, but here she played her character as convincingly as in previous films.
As a result, if you are tired of modern “children’s” cinema with a rating of 12+, where there is nothing original, where the stamp on the stamp, banality chases even more banality, originality zero – then this picture is definitely for you.
