Japanese Bruce Lee! Sonny Chiba, there's so much good in that name! A brilliant actor, a great karate player and just a good person, whose face and ability to throw villains on different sides are so similar to a great master and an incredible person. Bruce Lee! What will please us master karate artist Chiba in this film!?
The situation is as follows. The strange rising sun risks becoming the land of the setting sun, and it’s all about the evil drug dealers who came to the word from another continent and are supported by local villains. In order to solve a difficult situation, one very cunning policeman decides to act contrary to the law and hires a karate, a gorilla man with a very strong blow that is able to knock out the eyes of a person from the skull, and an aikido champion who sat on a barn. Together, this trio will investigate international smuggling, along the way causing serious injuries to crime!
For a film shot in shaggy '74, everything looks very specific. Excellent staging of fights and a very dynamic development of the plot, which does not let you get bored while watching. Some moments clearly resemble Hong Kong action films of the same time, sometimes it even seems that this film was shot under the impressions of them.
Speaking of the characters, the phrase “third superfluous” is very appropriate here, because the characters of Chiba and the gorilla man really move the investigation and put things in order with the strapped folk poisoners, while their combat friend in aikido is more of a clown, designed to carry the comedy line of the film, which is partly good, but alas knocks out the logic in his belonging to his colleagues.
In some places there is a clumsy editing, which can be written off for the year of the film. There are stupid moments, but they are more likely to cause a smile than outrage. and in general, the film itself leaves a pleasant impression after itself, since it is very much able to cope with its task - to show a beautiful face.
In the end, I want to say that this creation is entirely due to the skill of Sonny Chiba and easy dynamic plot, for which I want to say thank you and put the film.
