I honestly really like the first part of the animated film “The Adventures of the Emperor”, because this is a simple and at the same time very pleasant story about how the arrogant “major” suddenly turned into a lama and subsequently began to look at the world around him in a completely different way. Unfortunately, the cartoon did not fight back at the box office and became a disappointment for the producers, but still they decided to release a video sequel, which was called “The Adventures of the Emperor 2: The Adventures of Cronk”.
At first, it was difficult for me to understand how to make a character like Cronk the protagonist of a whole cartoon. He was a second-rate boy who served the villain and did all sorts of comical nonsense. Agree that it is difficult to take seriously. And, nevertheless, the authors of the cartoon decided to take a chance and, in my opinion, they turned out a great adventure movie with good humor and soul.
Cronk managed to get away from Izma and now works at Martha's diner. He prepares food and delivers it to customers. It would seem that this is true happiness, but one day Kronk gets news: his daddy is going to come to him and he thinks that his son has a home and a family. But in fact, none of this, and here Cronk begins to talk about his many mistakes.
To begin with, we learn about how difficult it was for him in a nursing home, where the gong brought food and where they wanted to help him build his home. However, the cunning Izma again intervened in the situation and, of course, sneakily framed Cronk, which caused him another serious trouble.
Next, we see Cronk taking care of the scout team, who are supposed to compete in the local Olympics, so to speak. The rival of Cronk and the company should be the team of Pernatl, a beautiful and cute girl with whom Cronk fell in love. But even here everything goes wrong, and Cronk with his own hands can bring down all his happiness.
As you can see, Cronk had a lot of trouble and, in truth, they could make a big animated series. But the producers decided that the sequel to “The Emperor’s Appearances” is better to shoot for release on DVD and it generally justified itself. Unlike the first part, the sequel paid off the budget and became very popular for a while. And all this is not for nothing, because there are a lot of adventures here, humor is also on top, and Cronk as the main character passed a real test and I loved it no less than the Emperor Cusco himself. Yes, Cronk is stupid, but he is kind and energetic, and such qualities are always in value.
In my opinion, this cartoon came out beautiful, interesting and funny. Rarely when the sequels of big pictures come out on a level, but this is the case when the continuation absolutely deserves the right to life.

"The Emperor's Adventures" was released at the end of a period known as the Disney Renaissance and failed to perform well at the box office. With a budget of $100 million, he raised only $170, which was considered a failure by the producers. However, the authors decided to make a direct sequel to this story, and five years later the cartoon “The Adventures of the Emperor 2: The Adventures of Cronk” was released.
This time, as you can see from the title, the main character is not the Emperor of Cusco, although he is also in the plot, and Kronck is the same dummy who once served the insidious witch Izma. However, Cronk was never really bad. He was in bad company and didn’t know what he was doing. Now Cronk has finally got rid of Izma’s obsessive attention and started doing what he does best, which is working in a diner!
Yes, the same Cronk who can lift a whole wagon with one hand now works peacefully behind the stove and distributes his food around. However, Cronk soon learns that his formidable Papula, who never understood his son’s fascination with cooking, is due to come to the village. Papa thinks it is stupid and Cronk is very afraid to meet him and begins to tell the owner of the diner Martha about his past and why he constantly gets into trouble.
The film is a series of stories about what happened to Cronk after what we saw in the first part of the story. Carrying food around, Cronk also does not ignore the nursing home, where he meets Rudy other residents. Who are willing to help the guy build his first home, but something has gone wrong. Then we see. How Cronk trains the little scouts and prepares to take part in the team competition against the boys of the charming Miss Pernatl. But he also has no romantic relationship.
Despite the fact that the animated film about Cronk looks like a disparate series of animated series, which are fastened in the editing room into a single film, I can say. That this is a very pleasant and positive story, in which there is practically no drama and intrigue, and yet it is very interesting to follow the story. Cronk is quite suitable for the role of the main character and he is no longer as stupid and one-dimensional as before. In addition, with us again Pacha, Cusco and other heroes of the first part, who even have less screen time, but they still feel great in the narrative and how they can, so help negligent big guy Kroenka with his father.
“The Adventures of the Emperor 2: The Adventures of Cronk” is as much as the first one. The story came out soulful, with the right morality and in general it was interesting to find out how the fate of both Cronk and other characters of the original cartoon developed.

In 2000, the Disney studio gave us the cartoon "The Adventures of the Emperor." The cartoon was cute, funny, but I would not say that it was a masterpiece. As for me, the cartoon lacked a large number of jokes and a more comedic-dynamic narrative, and in general he was much inferior to his TV series "The New School of the Emperor." However, the cartoon received good reviews from critics and viewers, collected a good amount and this provided him with a sequel. However, the creators decided not to continue the story of the Emperor Kuzko, but to switch to the character of Kronk – a servant of Izma. I don't know why they chose him. Kronk was a funny, naïve dummy, but to dedicate an entire cartoon to him? However, it was made and in 2005 a sequel appeared - "The Adventures of the Emperor 2: The Adventures of Cronk". In fact, it is strange why the name mentions the emperor, if Kuzko himself appears only at the end.
About the sequel I can say so, he is good, sweet, kind, but it is clear that his ideas just “squeezed out” of themselves and therefore he loses even to the original. The first sign that the idea of a sequel was born tortured is that Disney resorted to their favorite trick, which they use when they don’t have smart ideas. Namely, to make a cartoon not integral, but from several flashbacks. Such a hulking technique Disney previously used in the sequels “Beauty and the Beast”, “Hercules”, “Tarzan”, “Winnie the Pooh”, “Cinderella” and others. In my opinion, it says only that there was no single idea for the cartoon.
The cartoon tells us about how Cronk works as a cook in his eatery, but the joy spoils the news that the formidable father is going to come to him, and Cronk has neither his home nor his wife, although he promised his father that they exist. Cronk is upset, and most of the cartoon consists of two flashbacks about how Cronk came close to success and why he lost everything.
The main characteristic of the cartoon is that it is cute. Not particularly funny or fascinating, but cute. We learn how Cronk genuinely sacrificed his house for the poor old people or how he had a girlfriend, but he had to sacrifice his feelings. And it all looks very family-friendly, so a good-natured smile appears.
But all of this has a minus. The cartoon, due to the lack of funny moments, looks too serious and it hurts him. In addition, while watching, does not leave the feeling of “secondary” of what is happening, because not such a Cronk is a particularly interesting character to make a separate cartoon about him.
Conclusion: Of course, I can’t call “The Adventures of Cronk” a bad cartoon, as well as the fact that it disappointed me, since I didn’t particularly like the first part. The cartoon is sweet, kind and conveys two important morals. First, a person’s success is measured not by houses and women, but by how much and how many people love and respect them. Secondly, if you are happy with your status and enjoy what you do, then this is the most important thing, and not the opinion of other people.
However, the problem of the cartoon, it is "secondary" on the background of the original. You can see his ideas are exhausted. And apparently it affected the overall tone of the cartoon. It is too serious, it has few funny moments, and more sad.

Sequels to classic Disney cartoons (not counting the latest hits) often pass by the audience. Largely due to the fact that they went straight to the video and got to the fans only in the number of collections. In addition, they rarely managed to surpass the original. But some sequels I still really like. One of these I am ready to call the continuation of the uncouth and hilarious cartoon The Adventure of the Emperor, called the Adventures of Cronk.
Cronk, who left the work of Izma's henchman in the past, got a job as a chef in a diner, made many friends and lives without worries. However, this calm and measured life is disrupted by unexpected news - Kronk's father arrives and expects to see his son in a large house on a hill surrounded by his wife and children. Kronk, dreaming since childhood to earn his father’s approval, immerses himself in the memories of his adventures and thinks out a plan how to get everything before the arrival of the parent.
Cronk's Adventures I wouldn't even call a sequel - it's more of a spin-off: the cartoon does not continue the story of the original (except remotely), but develops the story of one of the interesting secondary characters. And to be honest, I liked Cronk the most in the original cartoon. He is dedicated to the spin-off - him and his funny adventures. It was very fun - the style of the first part is preserved, but with a completely new story, to observe which was very interesting and always - very funny! These are familiar jokes in the form of breaking the fourth wall, grandiose plans in my head, skirmishes between Angel and Demon, as well as several parodies on pop culture, dance numbers and spectacular songs!
Kronk, the former humorous henchman of the main antagonist, retrained as the main character and reveals his character in full. And he turns out to be a very good-natured and cheerful guy, always ready to help his friends in any situation. He talks about his childhood (it was even a little sad), and about the past, where we learn more about the hero, and once again he wins our favor! And over the battles of his eternal companions - the Angel and the Demon - you can laugh all the time!
The whole group of heroes from the original appears here, including several new heroes: Pacha with his wife and children become friends of Cronk, and the children Tibo and Chaka - join the squad of stouts, who leads Kronk and experiences many adventures with him; Rudy, a funny old man, gets a whole storyline; Izma, who does not leave insidious plans to seize power; an unfazed waitress Martha, who is desperately trying to get into the story; Crob>Krob>Krob>Krob>Krob>Krok, who does not become a hero, but who does not become a friend /b>>>>>
In short, in my opinion, The Adventures of Cronk is one of the best sequels of classic Disney. Fascinating, instructive and incredibly funny! If you liked the adventures of the emperor, then the adventures of Cronk will appeal to you!

The first part was better, but this one is not bad either!
After watching the first part 'The Apparitions of the Emperor' I wanted to see the second. Fortunately, I rarely look at the ratings of cartoons, I prefer to add my own opinion about what I saw.
What can I say about this cartoon? The first part, of course, will not eclipse, but there is a zest of its own.
First, it is the appearance of old heroes: Cronk, Izma, Paci with his family and even Cusco. For someone (for example, for me), this is sometimes crucial in choosing a cartoon for the evening. When you get attached to the characters, you want to see them on the screen as often as possible.
Second, the Cronk story. I wouldn’t say the naive thug is my favorite character, but he’s very charismatic. In any case, the picture with his participation turned out to be fun and very instructive. In it, the director raised such topics as friendship, love, responsibility for misconduct.
I think the kids are going to love this funny cartoon. Personally, after watching, I was delighted!
Before watching both parts, I drew attention to the rating: judging by the scores placed, people liked the first part more. After reviewing both parts, it became clear what was going on.
The matter is in priorities: the first part about Kuzko clearly loses in the plot, everything is quite banal there, but it is better directed, funny moments are more successful. Because of this, it looks in one breath, looks more holistic.
The second part has much more semantic load, more dramatic, in other words, has 10 out of 10 points on the idea itself. But it goes into the negative in the part of the director, because of this, it becomes more difficult for some to watch the cartoon.
In any case, Cronk is the brightest character, a stunning combination of omnipotence and modesty. To make a sequel about him was a good idea, and the revision of the director could bring the cartoon to a very high position.
After watching the first film, which by the way is very instructive and kind, and also quite fun, I immediately wanted to move on to the second part. And when I found out that the cartoon was not about the Emperor, but about Kronk, there was no end to the joy. We liked this character even in the first film - an awkward and stupid thug, but kind and responsive at heart. It turned out very funny, we laughed to the point of colic in our stomachs. At the same time, the film turned out to be very instructive, revealing the problems of helping others, love and friendship, forgiveness, refusal of greed, the story that everyone can stumble, but fix everything, and much more. And all this in a wrapper of good good good jokes and fun animation! I would show my child a cartoon, but at a certain age. I think it's 7-8.
