Which one of you betrayed me?! A good youth thriller with cool actors. A little Shakespearean style.
Once upon a time there was a guy David and a girl Jenny, young, beautiful and... friends. David, as usual, all of himself is positive, calm, understanding and languishing because of general indecision in the friendzon. Jenny goes on dates, invariably disappointed, knows about the feelings of the guys, but does not hurry to reciprocate or reciprocate (because where is such a cool friend later you will find?!). And it seems that there is even something between them, just "Jenny" has not yet come along, and "David" has not yet dared to confess his feelings. So they would have been until the second coming, had it not been for the third. Suddenly, a friend, charming Allan, instantly spins Jenny head. Everyone knows that girls love bad guys. A Allan fits perfectly into the image: beautiful, sexy, liberated, brazen, assertive. And so genuinely in love. Who could resist? The guys become a couple, and for complete happiness, both do not want to lose a friend, which is selfish, but from his youth it is clear. David is not enthusiastic about watching someone else's happiness, but sincerely tries; tries and is jealous. In short, you’ll tell the classic story. You're wrong. If that were the case, it would be standard melodrama. However, the director was not a mistake and decided to cheat.
And here begins the most interesting – not every thriller manages to keep the intrigue until the very end. And the point here is not in the end (to many sophisticated viewers it does not seem terribly original), but in those questions that remain after viewing. This is largely because of the good characters.
Jenny is not a simple girl, but she is selfish, but not stupid, knows what she wants and knows how to set boundaries.
Allan: not just a selfish overweight, he has a crazy girl, but he knows how to love.
David: the usual positive simpleton. But appearances are deceiving.
The actors are well-chosen. Rachel Lee Cook is simply charming in the role of Jenny - believe that for such a beauty you can betray a friend. Shawn Hathesey, familiar and beloved by us from the Faculty, perfectly played the allegedly innocent and positive David. Well, who better Jonathan Reese Myers to fit into the role of a handsome villain?
