The real gem of the '80s. Extremely surprised when I did not find a single review of the series on KinoPoisk, because "Secrets of Father Dowling" is a real pearl of series from the good old 80s.
Frank Dowling's father, a priest with a special talent, is a natural-born criminologist who is constantly confronted with murders, kidnappings and other crimes in his hometown of Chicago. He is helped by his brave sister Stephanie: she knows the language of the streets, and also knows how to drive a car; often she saves the lives of the main characters of the series, literally snatching them from the hands of bandits.
Good and evil, humor and tragedy, friendship and betrayal against the backdrop of a quiet life in the Catholic Church in “Secrets of Father Dowling”, like no other series, are intertwined very closely and, most importantly, harmoniously.
As you begin to watch the next episode, you are sure that crime will be punished. Not human rights activists, just a couple of very brave people.
