Clara, a principled and honest journalist, is unhappy in her marriage to Paulino, the governor’s ambitious, vain and greedy secretary. Pedro Elias, a brilliant lawyer obsessed with justice in the best sense of the word, defends the poor in the courts and in the police. Free. Which infuriates his wife, Aida, who cares about all the idealistic principles of her husband. Clara and Pedro Elias could not help but meet. The kinship of souls and mutual attraction, as well as Paulino and Aida, prepare them with many problems.
First, what you liked. Pedro Elias Ferrer, intelligent, educated, noble, honest, hardworking, gentle, caring, responsible, gallant... and married to Aida?! This is the height of injustice, and all because once made a girl pregnant, and the sense of duty and responsibility were stronger than vision and common sense.
The main character is a taxi driver by profession, a lawyer by vocation, correct and flawless just to the tenth degree, but I unexpectedly liked it. Impressed by his honesty, restraint, calmness and tact.
But the most significant characters for the plot are not the main characters, nor the main villains, but Julio and Aida.
Giulio’s womanizer did so much in his youth that now half of the characters in this story are more connected than we would like. Julio was particularly good at making children with different women. It is clear that one day all these children will gather to the heap and Julio will have nowhere to retreat.
Aida was the most primitive character in the series. Mercantile, hysterical empty, unbred, stupid, harmful, constantly humiliates the husband for his principles and beliefs. If Pedro Elias had nailed her in episode 21, all the courts in the world would have acquitted him. But gradually she became almost the most beloved character in the series, taking on the comic part, and the role of the irritant passed to Natalie. And Aida became the luckiest character. Despite his uncouthness, he manages to always be in the right place at the right time, thanks to which he learns the secrets of everyone. And silence is not free, so Aida, who does not work anywhere, lives chorusily (in the literal sense of the word) and moves the plot more than others.
Another plus is the script. An abundance of diverse characters, diverse stories, funny moments, beautiful actors and actresses, a convincing main couple. The story is filled with secrets, mysteries and confusion, but their exposure is not postponed for the finale, but takes place throughout the series. Characters don't fool around for too long. And while some knots are unraveled, others are tied, which makes the series as a whole boring.
I also liked the transformation of Rafaela from a hen wife into a luxurious woman who was tired of living in the kitchen. A beautiful pink dress on Zulaim on the wedding day with Abel can not be noted. Among the social problems - corruption, corrupt politicians, opposition struggle.
Cons. The Syra-Abel-Zuleima triangle is sweet to the point of being sweet with a completely stupid ending. Excessive chatter + always open doors. The most beaten stamp of the series is present here in large numbers. Robingood’s tricks of Abel and the “working days” of prostitute Juan Antonio are the most uninteresting parts of the plot. By the way, this is not the first series in which one of the central male characters is engaged in prostitution (apparently, the problem in Venezuela is relevant). The series is stretched, shorter would be more interesting.
Best Actor: Carlos Cruz. I didn't know the best actress. I'll celebrate Nacarid Escalona. She's not the best actress on the show, but I do give her credit for playing Aida. Work out 152 episodes with a invented and rather strange speech defect - instead of the letter "L" Aida pronounces "R". I don't think it's easy.
The worst actor and actress – Luis Fernandez and Jennifer Rodriguez.
P.S. And L. D'Alessandro is up to his ears in the children again. I've only seen a role without children in a couple of TV shows. In the rest - necessarily with children. It is impossible not to admit that he gets along with small actors, he is excellent and in the "father" scenes is very organic, which is clearly used by the creators of the series.
