Frame a friend game Whose Line Is It Anyway (WLIIA) is an improvisational comedy show. Host Drew Carrey offers four comedians different scripts that they should play on stage, and even in a way that is funny. At the same time, these scenarios are a surprise for the participants, they hear them for the first time at the time of shooting. Spring water improvisation. Three players - Ryan Stiles, Colin Mocree and Wayne Brady - are regular members. The fourth changes from show to show.

I watched all the seasons in one breath. Issues are many, but they last for twenty minutes, so you can do without victims, in the form of a lack of sleep or an unprepared work project.
Ryan Stiles and Colin Mocree (only they participated in all editions of WLIIA) are geniuses from improvisation. I envy the talent of these guys in a black way. I have to give 24 hours to think, and they give out some absolutely stunning jokes for one or two. It is in tandem that they work best. Twenty years of friendship makes itself felt - sometimes it seems that Ryan and Colin read each other's thoughts.
Wayne Brady is not far behind his senior colleagues. He has a tremendous musical talent and one hundred percent hearing. His ability to come up with hilarious songs on the go on any topic and in any musical style is of course an innate thing, it is impossible to learn such things.
WLIIA is full of references to American folklore, TV series, movies, books. Therefore, to understand many jokes, you either need to be versed in the nuances of American culture, or have access to the Internet at hand so you can ask Google.
There are disadvantages, where without them relatives. Sometimes the brash Drew gives out completely flat and / or indigestible things for the human brain. But you forgive him, because without him, this show wouldn't be in America because he's a producer. Oh, and adorable. Bonus - Drew has a contagious laugh, he laughs so much at what improvisers do that this alone causes a smile.
The main disadvantage is the invited guests in recent seasons - all these bodybuilders, cheerleaders and other orcs. It is clear that the show after five years had to change and develop, but in my opinion, the path was chosen wrong. After all, in England, WLIIA lasted a very long time without the invited husk. Although some star guests wrote such pretzels that Ryan, Colin and Wayne smoked in the sidelines. For example, Whoopi Goldberg performed excellently.
Also to the minuses I include the talentless Katie Greenwood - she was the fourth player in many episodes. I understand, it was necessary to attract a new audience of a well-looking colored blonde, but you could try to find a girl with at least some rudiments of humor. Against the background of the brightest Colin, Ryan and Wayne, she stews and carries out frank nonsense, forcing partners to plow for her, too, to stretch the stage. When she was present in the frame, I had attacks of secondhand embarrassment happened several times.
There are new seasons in America. Ryan and Colin are already shaking sand, but they are still the best. It's a bit frustrating to have the "remake" format - it feels like new Whose Line episodes are only being filmed as ads for other CW shows WLIIA is currently on. Again, the crowds of guest starlets, most of whom are humorous about the level of Katie Greenwood. I mean, nothing.
Colin Mocry once said that improvisation and television are not compatible. Improvizers need time to swing, catch a wave, get into rage. Therefore, a lot of the filmed material is eliminated as unnecessary. But at the same time, the duration of any shooting is limited, so the guys have to force events to be funny. For example, using proven scenarios, which, because of frequent use, produce the opposite effect, irritating the public. Wayne was very good at gospel songs (church choral singing, very popular in US of A). He performed gospel so well that he almost had to do it through graduation. Personally, I'm tired. Ryan and Colin made some jokes. When you watch a show, it is especially striking.
Despite the roughness, this show is a classic, in America on it whole generations have grown up. Sometimes I want to erase my memory just to have the chance to rediscover WLIIA.
