Geum-ju notices that something strange and inexplicable has been happening to her lately. She seeks help from Jin-myung, a psychologist and exorcist. The man and his assistant Ji-gwan enter the patient into a trance and find out that there is something else in the body of Gym-ju.
Judging from this film, spirit obsession exists and it even has its own common symptoms, such as nightmares, frequent hallucinations and delusions. As you can see, the theme of the film is very complex and ambiguous, on which many different films were shot, and how to me such films are the most scary and frightening.
As for me, the film turned out to be successful, a number of factors precede it. The film begins with a lecture by Jean-Man about obsession and a conversation with a patient. And then we begin to reveal the secrets of Jin-man, his mental anguish and sorrow, but I liked the way he talked to people and consoled them in a difficult moment. Also interesting was the assistant of Ji-gwan, a young, handsome and very talented medium. Geum-ju, a woman who seems to be possessed by spirits. Also, the film will not be complete without a young girl-producer of a documentary about shamans, who is in dire need of an interview with Jean-Man. In addition to these characters, there are many other characters in the film, whose role will be revealed towards the end. The actors, though unfamiliar, but I thought they tried and I liked them all.
I also liked the film because it has a dark atmosphere that lasts from beginning to end. The oppressive atmosphere and gloomy picture do not bother or cut your eyes at all, as it is diluted with the colorful landscapes of the Korean islands and a pretty art museum.
My verdict, Exorcism: Shaman's Cave is a mystical horror film, there are no usual ghosts in white, there are no sophisticated exorcism scenes, but it is interesting for its picture, plot, actors and atmosphere. There are no obvious shortcomings for me personally, I liked the film, so I can give a high rating.
