Don't cling to the past. If long enough to heal past wounds, you can lead everything to tragedy. Kengo cannot forget what happened to his father, but the old coach forces the former ken-do master to come out of the alcohol fog and finally deal with his "demons." Naturally, not without the participation of a young “gift”.
It's about the plot, to put it briefly. In fact, everything is much deeper than it seems at first glance. Many people know what happens in Japan with family relations and parenting. Cruelty sometimes leads to quite interesting solutions, but does not such incidents happen in the world at all?
The two hours of the film go quite smoothly with the inevitable expected ending. How the characters face each other (literally and figuratively) is quite interesting presented. Each of the two protagonists comes to the inevitable in their own way. Painfully, stepping over yourself, clinging to past experience, which rather hinders than helps.
What can we say in the end? The film is not for Friday’s relaxed viewing – you will need concentration (the story has a slightly torn edit) and attention, as well as the ability to analyze the presented visual information. Mysterious Asian soul...
