The army of our “potential enemy.” The Young Fighter Course (Tironoot) is a beautiful Israeli TV series. I followed the advice of the Israelis and did not regret it. There is an opinion that the film will be understood only by an Israeli due to the specifics of the plot. Nonsense! I can confirm that I did not feel any difficulties in perceiving the material, even as a woman. What is the Russian army, what is the Israeli army, what is any other – is not the course of the young fighter, the so-called “tironoot”, roughly the same everywhere? It would be interesting to hear the opinion of the Russian soldier: for sure he would find fundamental differences. But the difference in lifestyle, country of residence, age, and status (in my case, the mother of a soldier) – absolutely nothing prevents us from recognizing the series as wonderful, as mentioned above.
While I watched 2 seasons out of 3, by the way, the 2nd is not duplicated, the 3rd is the same. Opinion: a serious psychological, production (about the army) drama with elements of adventure and humor, the result is impossible to come off.
The theme of the picture is wide and diverse: love, betrayal, friendship, fathers and children, crime, family violence, Jewish identity, agricultural labor, disability, growing up, changing self-consciousness, religion ... And of course, the main topic is military service.
Several young men are called up to serve in the elite infantry brigade "Givati" with a glorious history. Guys from different walks of life: a rich son, a peasant, the son of a policeman, a returnee from the CIS, the son of a street vendor, a poor immigrant-African, the son of a deceased officer-hero, a faithful Orthodox, etc. – put on military uniforms and settle in barracks (tents due to the warm climate). Under the leadership of officers: hard serviceman Ido, tireless chomp and optimist Farkash, boring Shay, girls instructors - yesterday's boys begin to learn science to fight. Every new skill is blood, sweat, limiting strength, overcoming oneself. Every new day - events, adventures, jokes, pranks, dramas. Each hero is a whole world with him in the center.
Many things will happen to them during their long service (in Israel - before 3 years). The most important thing that the guys will learn from the past years is a strong friendship and military brotherhood. For all the hardships of service and even war can be overcome only by feeling the shoulder of a comrade side by side.
The storyline I liked the most was the story of the family of Gidi, the son of a police officer. The hard way to understand yourself and get rid of your own demons.
The hero who charmed me is Sergeant Farkash performed by Golan Azoulay. Mass of charm, humor, charisma.
The series was shot without any special effects, simple, epic, almost chronological. There are almost no beauties and beauties, everyone has a normal appearance (except Akki Avni). Here is this reliability plus a good script, production and shooting and gave an excellent result.
