/deep sigh/ I have been trying to find logic in Thai dramas for a year now, but so far I have been unsuccessful. This has taken away all hope.
This series is present in all sorts of ratings and recommendations of tapes on "boy-lov" theme. But I'd rather put it on the anti-rating. Of the pluses, I will highlight that the story revolves not only around the main characters, there are other storylines that may interest the viewer. Especially intrigued by the only girl in the team of swimmers named Pan, who is a lesbian, and is trying to win the girl she likes. But... and then disappointed in the end. Not that her couple didn’t suit me, but I’d be much more interested in seeing her in a different way (and not with Namkang, who suddenly woke up feeling like she was just trying something new for herself; I didn’t see any sympathy from her). I also want to highlight the actor who played Apo. He's probably the only person I've ever enjoyed playing. The proper transmission of emotion, the absence of those eyes of universal sadness, an absolutely natural reaction to what was happening, and I did see him gradually falling in love with Vai. The latter did not impress me at all. The stone face did not change throughout the series.
To consider all the flaws of the drama, you can safely include any series and write everything on points. I assure you, every minute is confusing with its logic. And by the end of the series, it turns into one big mess.
I know that there is still a full-length film, based on which the series was shot, but I did not watch it and now I am unlikely to watch.
Bottom line: fans of Yaoya can see it for a tick, but those who are looking for something more, I recommend passing by.
