What's wrong with Martha? The short film is included in the collection of short stories “Scary stories told at night” (2019).
Not the laziest camera work, a couple of interesting editing solutions and a funny game with light and color in moments when the main character becomes ill - three visual pluses of this short. But the main advantage is in the non-standard directorial presentation of script material.
A slight confusion of the viewer at first even infuriates. You wonder what's wrong with Martha? Hallucinations? Visions? Monsters? As a result, it turns out that this is not so with the viewer if he is not able to go a little further than his own interpretations. Any banal thing can be shown very unbanal. Even with some flaws, but here it turned out.
It is not known whether Sergio Morsiglio’s other short films are so good, because no one was going to localize them in Russia. However, one is enough to enjoy watching.
And for this director, of course, immense gratitude.
