Two loneliness. "Among the worlds, in the twinkling of the stars, I repeat the name..." (Innocent Annensky)
A man is always drawn to the good. Because smiling is easier than frowning. For doing good is more pleasant than doing evil. Because the gift will return you a hundred times. Ivan Sosnin from the breadth of heartfelt and deep understanding of the world order gave the viewer an exceptionally bright and positive short film, which the language will not turn to drama. Although life is by definition a drama, it is still possible for a person to change it without changing himself. From time immemorial, a man and a woman are destined to wander the world in search of their soul mate. It is not known in what place, at what time they will find long-awaited happiness. As the opening word in a good novel, the camera operator very delicately follows the life of the deaf sailor Ivan, showing the world through his eyes.
Let him not hear, let him drown in the sea the only connecting sound thread - the hearing aid, but all the other senses from this only intensified. He sees what others do not, intuitively relying on their hearing. Ivan notices the slightest changes in human facial expressions, and this helps him communicate. One day, his comrades take him to a coastal cafe, where Ivan watches the singer perform. The camera works ahead of time, showing how the perception of musical performance changes if the sound is completely turned off. Ivan can't afford tactile contact with a stranger, can't touch her hand, but he can watch her lips. 39 I was going home, the soul was full of some new happiness, unclear to myself. It seemed to me that everyone looked at me with such participation, with such affection. . . '
Not everyone looked - the poetic canvas of the song merged with the emotional outburst of one Ivan. The song, from which Ivan did not hear a word, literally turned him around. He went to the cafe every night to see the singer Amina, to see her song. Two loneliness in an ocean of longing cannot help but notice each other. Because two loneliness can easily result in one happy fate. What is lacking is a little bit of fiction, about which Ilya Lagutenko sings at the most appropriate moment: ' All this is you, and you are not a ghost'. Not a ghost, but almost a mermaid. Who better than a mermaid to be a decent couple to a deaf sailor? And here again the music comes to the fore: ' lest dreams turn into foam, do not run away. . . ': You have to take your fate into your own hands. Hold tight and never let go because the Bird of Happiness doesn't come twice. . .
