New threat Spain, 1977. It is a difficult time and place to work in the police. The country, as if waking up from decades of Franco’s far-right dictatorship, is trying to learn to be a European constitutional monarchy. With freedom and Western values comes a new threat: drugs.
In the small resort town of Torremolinos in southern Spain, four police officers decide to take the fight against drug trafficking into their own hands. At the same time, each of them has a worse character than a porcupine, each has problems outside the service, and each can find its own hook for criminals.
The life of the policemen is further complicated by the wayward daughter of the local smuggler Yolanda, nicknamed “Sowshka”. It's not just that half the squad is drying on her. The girl, herself unwittingly, was up to her ears involved in the affairs of the nascent drug mafia - and with her character nothing good to expect.
The first season was quite cheerful and quite spectacular. The actors play convincingly, the plot is interesting, the picture is atmospheric, the characters have a sense of humor. The low ratings of the last series on Spanish TV cast doubt on the second season, and it is a pity - it would be interesting to know how the story ended.
