Ask a question. In order to portray the life of society in a plausible way, one must understand how it works or works, what underlies its existence. If your answer is yes, then you understand the degree of non-obviousness in the logic of society. It is not simple, in order to correctly describe it - you will have to seriously work in terms of education. To put it simply, the uneducated person’s ideas of what he sees will be, in essence, simply a set of moments, glued together not by a real connection in the world, but by the views of a person. Wherever I want, I sculpt. Whether it was there or not, I sculpt it because I want to. And I'm showing you how it should be. Moreover, I sculpt even what there can not be, because there is no reason, but still sculpt. And for someone who's touched the subject at least a little bit, it's a pain to watch. The views of uneducated authors are simply absurd. They try to talk to me about what monarchy is, show the monarch, his society - and from what they say and how they say, I clearly see that this is not a monarchy, but an uneducated idea of monarchy. As with the savage tribes, so with the republics. Delusional and delusional. And of course, since this is a modern corporate culture, we are given lgbt and other so-called joys. The output is a real idiom. Absolutely idealistic illiterate representations are abundantly smeared with new pseudo-values. Plus, only if it's a picture. Because the places for filming were really good. I don't recommend watching. This is brain gum, defective in almost every way. The same Game of Thrones – based on the medieval history of Europe – is a head above this kindergarten. In a society where no one knows how to read and write the old, like humanity, how do the worshippers of the flame God know such words as subordination, revolution and so on. Huh?
The navigator predicted that I would put this movie 3, hahaha, get 7, for starters, for season one. Great season, almost every episode, in one breath. There are so many moments that I haven’t seen in a long time!! First you worry about some, then everything changes and you start for others!!! Probably easier to list the disadvantages. A disgusting antagonist, too soft brother and hard sister, well, these are pindo values, well, at least something apple had to push (after their pontoplasms Chinese smart people stopped taking) otherwise will not miss) There is a masculine femininity (if the boy got a wound, then you need to tell the world about it, you can not tolerate it ahh) Propaganda Alenevodstvo and matriarchy, because the Pindos no longer have ordinary men for offspring, allegedly there is nothing terrible in the fact that the wives will be pregnant from others. The film is just about that when someone comes from the mountain and impregnates all their local women.) Children are very weak, they do not know anything, they are afraid of everything, but at the same time they have, at the age of 17, a clearly stated opinion about everything!!! Elegantly played lioness bow, but it is so little, very sorry, the character was not revealed. . .
The series ' See' I came across by chance in the tape of one of the movie public. I had never heard of him before, watched the trailer or read the short description. I began to watch because one of the main characters was played by the insanely beautiful and charismatic Jason Momoa, known to the world for the role of Aquaman and Khal Drogo from ' Game of Thrones' - I could not pass by the opportunity once again in all its glory to admire this Brutal.
As it turned out, not only Momoa was able to please me: in the series a great selection of the cast, which are the roles of Elfrey Woodart, who got the role of a seer and Christian Camargo in the role of a witch. Camargo reincarnated for his role beyond recognition and perfectly got used to the image, I could only understand Who plays Tamakti Juna when I Googled! And the disgustingly beautiful Queen Kane performed by Sylvia Hooks is something! So to play a crazy hysterical with a mad thirst for power, while easily finding excuses for her atrocities in an inflamed brain - this is Talent with a capital letter! What are her prayers worth (hahaha is just a bomb)!
All the characters of this story of the post-apocalyptic development of our planet are very colorful, clearly spelled out, with strong characters and their own characteristics. Jason Momoa is great in his role, he is ready to do anything for his family, beloved wife, children - despite the fact that they are adopted and they are fatefully assigned to look for a biological father. He is responsible for everyone and everyone, not only in the family, but also in the tribe, stick and carrot maintaining peace and order. His wife, Magra, actually escaped from the palace, in a stressful situation. A charming shaman-visionary is a lot of wisdom that is relevant at any time she reproduces. Twin children, because of which and in whose name all events in the blind world are also interesting - touchingly homely and tender boy and fighting girl with iron eggs perfectly complement each other.
The story of the series itself is quite unusual, it is not a simple destruction of the world from the excess of military power and lack of intelligence of the inhabitants of the planet, which were filmed millions of times before the TV series & #39; See' This is a radically new look at the possibilities of humanity in general and each person in particular, especially if people are deprived of one of their inherent feelings, perhaps the most important - vision. It was hard to imagine a world completely populated by blind people, partly because of this it may seem that some moments of the plot are far-fetched, but then, thinking and thinking about it, I realized that they probably have the right to be that way. In stressful situations and in the absence of one of the feelings in a person, the rest of the feelings are awakened and amplified, so the universe of the series ' See' for me personally quite has the right to exist.
The first two episodes developed for me personally very slowly, I wanted to shout straight: well, let’s go faster! Then I felt like everything was going according to plan, as it should be. And the subsequent development of events mesmerized again and again, and I sat until the night, staring at the monitor, forgetting about the dream. Some plot twists are predictable, but played perfectly and therefore cause only positive emotions. It is amazing that the rating of the series is low, I am just outraged by this!
The series is very expensive on budget, incredibly beautiful and high-quality. The eyes rejoice, the heart sings! Chic views of nature, amazing post-apocalyptic scenery, magnificent play of all actors without exception, chic work of makeup artists and an incredible aftertaste - a feeling that we are rich only because we are full and do not understand our happiness! I really liked the series, although it may seem a bit dark. I love this kind of movie and I look forward to the sequel, because the end of the first season unleashed so many possible scenarios in my imagination that it is breathtaking!
I VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY, I WANTED MORE.
Several people recommended this series to me and I decided to watch it. I did not expect anything special from him, but in the end I was pleasantly surprised.
First of all, I liked the very atmosphere that reigns in this version of the world of the future, the world without sight. I liked the visual characters of the children, but given their odds in front of the blind, I believe that they did not use their potential, but sometimes forgot about the privilege that was given to them from above. In particular, they could do much more to not only protect their people, but also to increase their own strength over time. Hence a number of not always logical actions and stupid mistakes that led to terrible consequences.
On the other hand, one should not forget that the lack of sight of the people here is still presented not as a weakness, but as a norm to which people have long adapted, having learned to fully use other senses, and in this sense their training is much better than sighted.
Of course, through the whole series carried such a simple, but strong idea that to watch - not always means to see, and sometimes blind people see everything much better than sighted, not to mention their feelings. The series is surprisingly well staged fights (especially the battle of the Green Moat), and in general to look at the battle of blind people is very unusual and exciting, as well as their everyday life and ways of adapting to life without eyes.
Jason Momoa, to whom the role of savages stuck, looked damn perfect here. I also want to highlight the main antagonist - the hysterical Queen Sibit, brilliantly played by Sylvia Hooks. Her play, her image and character development were very interesting. In general, I did not notice any scripted subsidences, departure from the main topic and a sharp change of course, which is a huge advantage for the series. It can be argued that three seasons was enough to finish the story in time before it outlived itself. The final here came out dramatic, sometimes sad, but completely holistic and satisfying.
8 out of 10.
Accidentally came across the series, and here I want to say long abandoned - to mark the assessment and especially write a review.. but here could not resist! Firstly, it became a shame for the underrated series, and secondly, you need to add your doodles so that all fans of the post of the apocalypse did not pass by. Real, catchy, intriguing, holding series.. everything is beautiful, scenes, entourage, atmosphere - as in a good movie from the 2000s, when there was not all this cheap stamping.. imho, you can put in a row with the Game of Thrones! Momma - so generally handsome, respect him) and most importantly - 3 seasons and a complete story, although here you could shoot and shoot. Yes, as a fan of the post-apocalyptic, I really liked the picture - "cave people" against the background of "fucking civilization", it's just beautiful, something very similar to one of us.
I started watching this series because Jason Momoa (Khal Drogo of Game of Thrones) was starring, and there was such a thought that he would not be in a bad movie. The first series turned out to be so amazing, as if you are watching not a series, but a big-budget film, a kind of mix of Planets of the Apes and Mel Gibson’s Apocalypse. The battles of the blind against the blind in the first season are beyond praise. All the survivors of the end of the world were blind. There are not many, only about two million people. Hundreds of years later, the blind have somehow founded settlements. A new religion is spreading among the people, according to which sighted people are witches and should be immediately burned. It is understandable, because humanity has always rotted unlike themselves. And, as you probably already guessed, sighted in the series, too, there are, they are hunted.
Survivors use the gifts of a past destroyed civilization, which, so to speak, are still “on the go”. We are talking about mechanisms that, by chance, still power electricity. In the center of the plot, the kingdom of the Kane family, who catch sighted people, and at the same time rape, kill the blind with whole villages. Cruelty in the series with excess. Negative characters suddenly become positive, and vice versa. In my opinion, Tamakti Jun romanticizes the image of a war criminal. Which is not good.
The actors in the series are well selected. What a specific (and beautiful!) appearance of “Lion” (Bow Lion) – little-known actress Yadira Guevara-Prip... she played a cameo role in the TV series “13 Reasons Why”, then I look familiar! She played one of my favorite parts of the series. In general, this actress with wild energy and wild charm. The role of “Shadow” is performed by her simply amazingly. Alex Paunovic vs Jason Momoa ... a fight of two giants! In every sense ... the first actor also seemed to me terribly familiar ... and then I remembered that he had previously played the ringleader of blood-sucking creatures in the first season of Van Helsing.
After the dynamic and bloody first episodes, the events take a longer turn... on the one hand, I didn’t like it very much, but on the other hand, it’s a bloody apocalypse. Ultra realistic, of course, in the series. Interior decorations, dresses - everything is at a high level. I especially liked the way the city of Kanzwa was made. But this style almost Warhammer did not continue, then the viewer is waiting for ordinary, unremarkable cities of the era of barbarism and steel.
Family relationships, traditional values of family, love and loyalty are shown in full. Without scandals and conversations on elevated tones, squabbles and swearing, what Russian TV series are famous for. Jason Momoa played the role of the perfect adoptive father. There is little Western propaganda in the series. At the center of the struggle of sighted minorities against the prejudices of blind people is an actress of African-American appearance. There is same-sex lesbian love, but there are no homosexual couples in the series.
The first season turned out in the dark tones of the era of decline. The second season is a direct continuation of the events of the first. The bloody battles for the throne between kingdoms begin, the “Game of Thrones” in the world of the blind. Two major kingdoms are in conflict: Trivantes and Pajan. Battles are shown almost at the level of Hollywood films.
But let us ask ourselves: how likely is it that if people on the planet go blind, the human race will continue, and their descendants will be able to build entire states, empires? In my opinion, that's unlikely. In the series, such a post-apocalypse scenario is shown in embellished form, we are talking about the second and third seasons. By the middle of the third season, there was some fatigue from the series, probably due to a rare change of locations, where events take place, stretched for the entire season. The first season of “See” I liked the most, and then down the waning.
The image of the soulless and cruel Queen Sibit seemed to me too caricatured, and Sylvia Hooks, in my opinion, overplayed the image of madness and arrogance. Soldiers for the main characters of the male do not pose a great danger, Baba Vos, Lesnik and Tamakti deal with them like mobs from a computer game ... from time to time there is a “mini boss”, the fight with which is a little more difficult and longer. About the wounds received, which in reality, with proper treatment, would heal for a very long time, and in the absence of drugs would be fatal, I am generally silent. Heroes are tortured, cut, stabbed, and everything heals on them “like dogs.” As a result, the realism of everything that happens falls. In addition, many of the main plot twists are predictable.
Despite all the disadvantages, the series “See” is a good attempt to show another version of the post-apocalypse world, of course, absolutely surreal, because if it happened, the imminent destruction of the reactors of 192 nuclear power plants around the world would make life on our planet impossible, poisoning everything with radiation and finishing off the remains of those who were lucky enough to survive. But who thinks about it?
1. Despite the negative impression of this picture, it is worth noting the beautiful shooting and sometimes spectacular battle scenes. This is the only thing you can watch this series for. Beautiful landscapes, weather conditions, general atmosphere look good. This is where the benefits end.
2. From the first episode, the series looks like a good, expensive movie. The cost of production is visible to the naked eye, but it is both plus and minus at the same time.
Plus, because they could afford a good picture.
Minus, because the series does not withstand minor criticism and leads to the conclusion that it is not worth its money.
3. In fact, the main problem of the series in my opinion is its improbability. The idea of a world of blind people is interesting, but difficult to implement. In each series, the main idea breaks down about all sorts of details that were poorly accounted for or not taken into account at all. First, the way the characters of the series live hardly resembles the life of blind people. Second, selectivity ' superhearing' depending on the director's tasks (they hear someone else's heartbeat speeding ten steps away, they don't hear someone breathing in their back, etc.). Not to mention how the best warriors move during battle. The list goes on for a very long time. The series is full of such blunders and incredible, depending on the needs of the director, superpowers.
It is also worth saying that the storyline is monolithic and very simple, unlike the same 'Game of Thrones' with which some manage to compare this series. By the way, it is full of the most cliché plot twists and situations.
As a result, we get a very expensive, naive fairy tale for a middle-level viewer in which there is no impression of the reality of what is happening. In my opinion, this is a very important aspect. The viewer must believe in what is happening, but here, alas, I do not believe.
6 out of 10
The crust pulled an owl over the globe. The blind are not blind at all, which is slightly annoying but permissible. But the son slobbering in general does not climb into any gates, this is a wild world, at the age of 12 he had already to throw an axe at the sound of a deer. The same history of an army-type campaign is first a question of food, the whole pack must be fed, and secondly a question of the resistance of other settlements. In any such society, a gang will first be formed that will milk the surrounding villagers, and then a feudal lord with an army will be formed. There will not be some unidentified armed persons who are also burning the settlements bringing tribute. They have had more than one generation and such a hierarchy should have been created long ago. In general, you can see the complete laziness of the creators in the description of the world.
Season 3 of this series has begun, and now I am ready to share my impressions. Relatively recently, Hollywood mastered a new idea that spawned several high-quality and unusual films. The essence is the topic of the post-apocalypse, something incomprehensible happened, which is exactly what the screenwriters do not tell us until the end. But humanity has gone backwards and gone blind. Very trendy scenario, there are already quite a lot of films, I will not even mention.
At the moment, the theme of the zombie apocalypse is slowly becoming obsolete, the audience is tired of the same thing from year to year. Even 'Chernobylei' already shot so many different that is not interesting. So far, the studios have decided to exploit the theme of the blind. 'See' is one of the best projects, the story is really good. But this series requires getting used to. The first season is intriguing at first, but then in the moment sags. Then it comes back to life, so much so that I want to see the second one. Thank you to the main character of Momoa.
For the second season was made much more lively and dynamic. And that’s right, because the third season already shows that the excessive amount of chatter and wandering of blind survivors for 30-40 minutes quickly begins to tire. But when the blind face each other in a deadly battle and the main characters repeatedly find each other, and then during the next brawl run again, everything is very good. Sadly, Season 3 has been pretty boring since the end of Season 2. There, the Queen and the Magra staged real ' Game of Thrones' it was just not to take off the screen.
The authors alternated long scenes of showdowns for power with more fleeting combat. For which Baba Voss is mainly responsible, having clear goals, despite his lack of vision. I must say that most fighting scenes are quite simple, but everything pays off with interesting behavior of the blind. There are, of course, a lot of conventions, but in general, in this series the clashes of warriors are more interesting than in the usual action films. Here the heroes are still forced to focus almost on the touch. Thanks to the authors for the rating, the showdowns are often very cool and naturalistic. Maybe it was worth doing this story in the spirit of 'The Wasteland' or 'Mad Max', a great action movie.
I love the series, but so far, season 3 has not lived up to my expectations. The previous two were painfully cool. You’re already waiting for something crazy, but so far in the first series only a repetition of what you’ve been through. Hero Momoa has become smaller, and the heroine Hooks is no longer shocking as she did in season 2. To the madness and cruelty of the heroes still quickly get used to, but to the same Cersei she still lacks scope. Although the actress, of course, plays even more interesting here, in my opinion. Therefore, I will watch season 3, of course, and I hope that by the end it will be promoted and made so that there is a desire to wait for the 4th.
Now the desire to give constructive, so to speak: . Not just to criticize, but to suggest.
Briefly for those who do not know: 'See' is a post-apocalyptic project of Apple TV about a world where people as a result of a pandemic were blinded and rolled back to the Stone Age. The eyes cause hatred, fear and rejection, like witches in the Middle Ages.
Blind people have learned to perfectly navigate in space by hearing, smell and using landmarks, but in general, the reader has a strong feeling that the creators of the series did not work the world well. Whether they rushed, or just stupid people caught. . .
' See' as it continues what began in the classic novel by John Wyndham ' Day of the Triffids' By the way, if you haven't read it, read it - a very good book.
Looking at the braided beards of the characters and – sometimes – at the same time shaved heads, earrings and jewelry, colored clothes and other things that are available only to the sighted, I got a break in the template and did not believe, like Stanislavsky, in the reality of the cinematic universe.
No, the world of the blind can't be like this! Why do blind people wear earrings and other jewelry? In the film, they rarely touch each other. And people almost never wear jewelry just for themselves, no matter what some proud people say.
So let me briefly describe how I would describe this world if I were the main producer of the series.
First, I would have all the characters make clothes out of all shades of gray. Wool fabric has a gray hue - to color. Cotton is hardly used, but if used, it should be a light gray color, taking into account contaminants.
In order not to spoil the viewer’s impression with gray colors, it would be possible to think that clothes in peacetime are poured with special solutions with a smell - to identify each other. And, they say, this solution has a different color. Viewers-visuals will be pleased to see clothes with colorful spots.
Secondly, as has been said before, smell would have the same meaning as that of poor-sighted animals, and since man is an intelligent being, it would make the smell stronger by artificial methods.
Of course, this is dangerous in case of an enemy attack that can smell and finish off, so there must be ways to mask the smell or fake it.
Cats, being solitary hunters, lick themselves carefully to remove any odor. And bury faeces for the same reasons. Therefore, people of the blind era should not have long hair and a beard - hair absorbs odors well. The easiest way to be invisible in every sense is to shave all the hair on your head and body. Carefully monitor hygiene, constantly wipe and wash.
The viewer would not see the curly and dirty Jason Momoa, and saw clean as a domestic cat, and short-cut Jason Momoa. Both men and women would have short haircuts. No beard to the knee, mane and, God forbid, dreadlocks.
Third, jewelry would play the same role as the bells on the Queen's arms in the series. Just shaking your hand every time is impractical. It is enough to make a ringing crown so that subordinates learn by sound about the approach of the queen or king.
In our world, the clothes of rich and powerful people are completely unfit for work, and sometimes specially made so that you can not even wear and remove yourself. Long sleeves at the boyars; dresses dragging twenty meters behind; a million fasteners on the back that can not be fastened without two maids; corsets and giant skirts; tuxedos, in which you can not turn and not sit down; three-storey hairstyles; high heels - all this sends a meta-message to others: & #39; We do not need to work, we are too steep for this #39;
Correspondingly, ringing crowns would also shout: 'I have nothing to fear that I will be heard, I am too influential for this!' The kings of the blind world wouldn't give up on these pontiffs, I'm sure. Kings and other cones would ring all over the district, and smell of a variety of perfumes. So that the mob knows who is coming or going.
Fourth, clothing would have a specific texture to determine social status by touch, for example. People would touch each other more when they meet, and that would be natural.
Fifth, I would ' more clearly' introduce a sixth sense, a kind of superpower, almost magical, which would animate the plot and replace vision. Suppose that in the world of the blind, people would develop a feeling of which we know so little. In fact, it is in the series 'See' already there, but not marked. If the creators of the show designated it, it would be, on the one hand, more interesting, on the other, would explain the dexterity with which the characters navigate and fight.
Sixth, in times of war, it would be logical to throw something around that would make noise if you stepped on it. So warriors could know who's where.
The first season undoubtedly created intrigue. Good cast, interesting idea and famously twisted plot. And everything could go well, if external forces did not interfere with the agenda prevailing over Western society: gender & #39; equality & #39; LGBT and other obsessive directives killed the plot, characters and even the simplest logic. Savor bloody battles, sometimes, from the point of view of the same logic, completely meaningless from the point of view of tactics and elementary preservation of forces for the same battle. The hero of Jason Momoa in the frame constantly continues to cut into small minced already dead opponents, apparently only for the sake of ' effective' in its bloodiness of the frames. It simply begins to tire with its unnaturalness and illogicality. And with such a pathological thirst for torture, he suddenly turns out to be an amazingly patient and loving father and husband - a break in the pattern I would say. Yet he is wise and far-sighted. In short, they awkwardly pulled all the benefactors of man on the thug, while not bothering to explain where they actually came from during his life. Defensive children raised by their parents (Haniva and Kofun). It is believed that Haniva learned to shoot a bow for some time. But why did these children, as butchers in the gas station, for a few days deftly retrained as clever killers? Well, touching love between two girls-killers (in no way outwardly pulling on this role), because this is in no way a social phenomenon, but pure nature. The whole series is a clumsy attempt by spoiled and distorted by the excesses of civilization people to try, through the prism of their infantile consciousness, to portray the wild and primitive world of tribes struggling for survival. But the only thing they can give the viewer in order to immerse him in the atmosphere of this primitive society is the numerous and meaningless scenes in their blood. The second season killed interest in the third. Pity good actors.
So that you understand how I plunged into the atmosphere - sometimes I had to remember that I see so and can not walk, leading my hand on the wall, for a landmark.
So, with a foot in the main drawback of the series - the screensaver, she is terrible, how incompetent she is, she does not even try to particularly play the theme of blindness and looks simply unkempt and sometimes even ugly (to my taste). Just remember the awesome Daredevil screensaver. There was everything: beautiful shots, metaphorically revealed the themes of the series, the objects were covered either with blood, which personified cruelty, or simply showed the echolocation used by the main character. So I'm comparing Daredevil's screensaver to See, and I feel like crying because of the number of missed opportunities.
I'll alternate pros and cons and you won't do anything to me, HA. The fight is very cool. In the first season, there were some memorable fighting scenes that stuck in the memory and did not want to go out for a long time, and the second season multiplied their number, for which thank you. And this piercing cruelty of the fights is so deeply submerged that it seems as if another stream of blood from a halfed enemy is now splashing in the face.
The main character, who, like Jason Mamoa, is simply invulnerable. Well, it is cut, beaten, whipped, pierced and the rest of the joys of this wonderful world, but each time I was sure that he will eventually win. Like, Kamon, if you compare his chances and opponents, it was somewhere 99 to 1, the maximum limit of danger for Mamoa can only be if the whole world comes out against him at once, and then his chances do not fall below 90. I didn’t want to make that comparison, but this Mamoa continues to play an aquaman who doesn’t try to hide his superpowers. And if this theme in the first season was tolerable, in the second it has reached a real absurdity. I won't spoil it, but I'll say this, the whole world joke against Mamoa wasn't exactly a joke.
Without departing far from Mamoa, he is one of the main advantages of the series and pulls my attention with his charisma and brutality from series to series, perhaps, if it were not for him, the viewing would have been irrevocably abandoned, and in the second season he was joined by Dave Batista, HOO!
The series built its world very badly. Look, the world of the series is built on the fact that all of humanity is blind and no one sees, but in the first episode there are people who see! How can I feel that everyone is blind when there are people who see from the beginning? How will I feel the value of seeing if someone has seen it from the beginning? Let me give you an example, do you really appreciate your little fingers? I don’t think, because you had them from the beginning and they are already familiar to you, but if you lived for many years without them and understood how hard it is, then the reaction would be much stronger than ' OK, fingers, class' Well, I mean, if at least one episode absolutely no one saw and in the end we showed the only seer, it would be more sensual than what is.
Secondary heroes and antagonists. They're gorgeous. The queen is a bitch, as I love her. Her henchman, whose name I have successfully forgotten, is a charismatic creature, as I love you. Dave Batista is another charismatic creature, I love you a little less than the others, but still smack. The rest, in general, logs and you can write them in minus, but my favorites pull.
I'm out of minuses. So just here - and technically there was a minus.
Shooting, scenery and other technical aspects are incredibly good here. In 4k, the picture is so good that you want to drown in it. I feel sorry for the characters in the series that they can’t see it. F.
*minus*
The palace intrigues were interesting to watch. I am not tempted by Game of Thrones, so there is not much to compare with, but I was definitely interested.
No matter how many disadvantages this series had, but, for me, the pros still outweigh. Yes, it’s definitely not the best series in the world and it’s definitely not some 'systemseller' that might make you subscribe to Apple+ (they’re in trouble with these systemsellers at all), but you can look and I think you won’t be disappointed.
7 out of 10
There are, of course, things that still seem like a bent stick to me, like the brutal ways of literally tearing people apart with guns or the Queen's way of praying. But in front of many, many, you can just take off your hat with a clear conscience: starting from the first minutes of the first season and the magnificent choreography of the battle. Like dance and at the same time something about music... it's easy to believe they can really be a lost people. But what was even more difficult was that you could really believe they were blind: the way they walked squatly, not turning their heads to sound... it’s the actors’ giant work on themselves. At the same time, you really begin to respect obviously sighted actors precisely for their courage of the blind, who are not closed in themselves, but openly move and self-sufficiently cope with everything, so the image is authentic. Costumes and make-up ... a little gun on the face of a torturer, like tears ... and he not only begins to feel more sorry, but also more respected ... I don't even have words.
The authors of the creation “See” considered their project promising and counted on the fight in popularity with the tops. However, in the first series we are shown incredible dynamics, a very epic battle (it is witty in terms of the very idea of the series). It is as if they have all been slacked off (because they are long gone). We are shown the abilities of the so-called “sniffers”, “hearers”, Babo Voss. Do you “see” how effective we are? On the screen incredible landscapes of lavender fields, rivers, mountains. Do you see how expensive and beautiful everything is? Demonstrate locations broken from wars, garbage left by the old civilization, and newly built homes that are still more convenient for sighted people. They show how people navigate with the help of ropes stretched over their heads, in the case of unknown places, carefully, slowly move. How to communicate in battles call signs like "ch-ch" or something like that. Do you “see” that everything is working? Yes, "see" the first few episodes "works."
And even during this time, questions have already arisen: how do they understand who to “bump” in battles, how do they move around the world, how do they climb onto ledges? How do they find their way home without getting into trouble? Yes, it is clear that developed enhanced smell and hearing (sometimes better than dogs), but still there is a feeling that each of them “Daredevil”.
They try to balance dynamism and dialogue. Yeah. We need to talk, too. What are they talking about? What do they do? How do you spend your time? The main characters are the Babo Voss family and they only think about one thing. They’re not like everyone else and they’re all very worried. Apparently, this is what everyone thinks about the sighted children of Babo Voss. They're also looking for food. I guess. Because they don't show us that. But no one is hungry.
Appropriate music, sometimes motivational speeches, and most importantly the charisma of the characters allow you to stay at least briefly at the screens (and, of course, waiting for answers). Very interesting is Babo Voss, his mysterious wife, the mad queen and her gloomy general. The actors of these main characters are trying, and come out decently. Sylvia Hooks stands out in particular. She has a very good character.
Interesting shot. Increased shots of the main characters during dialogues (rather than even long monologues), where the character in the background (sometimes blurred) begins to “convincingly” explain to the second, it is with the help of facial expressions and emotions that they allow to reveal the main characters.
But there's nothing weird about it. High-quality hairstyles, necklaces, decent clothes. Don't they care about the characters?
“Why the hell did he take newborn babies into the woods?” To show that animals are not extinct? Or for something else?
In addition, there are not enough locations. The vast lost world will initially hold secrets. But it doesn’t get any easier from new places. For example, the location of the “dump” with the strangest character of the series, no less “interesting” caves. The Queen’s home looks rather ridiculous against the background of the open and big world of the second season. The atmosphere is sorely lacking. In the opening season it is much more. The screensaver is really spectacular and intriguing. What can you say about the new season.
- You see? - We care. Show the entertainment of people in this world in the form of stories in 5d format (only for the second season decided).
It is impossible not to mention the presence of cheap “multi-movements” by the type: “Do you think I would tell her about myself without having a plan?”
The plot isn't a strong side either. Characters appear out of nowhere and also disappear unnoticed. It would seem that the hero has no future, when suddenly he finds himself completely different. Without explanation or logic, it is resurrected in another part of the world. Lots of nonsense and inconsistencies. A lot is revealed very superficially. It seems that the character does not seem compliant and weak-willed, when suddenly he does ridiculous things for the sake of the plot. And this does not concern the events of the stories themselves and the war sucked out of a finger.
And where is the topic of same-sex relationships?
It feels like the creators have gained fans and that’s it. They've had enough. The idea fades into the background, more and more oddities, fewer answers. Moving on to stamps. They work on the action and originality of human cruelty (sometimes extremely inappropriate).
The idea of the series is very difficult in quality implementation. But that doesn’t mean you can contradict yourself. When people need to hear for a story - they hear when they need someone to sneak up imperceptibly - they succeed. You stop believing. - They can't move like that! - Well, a person with closed eyes can not point at the head from a crossbow to the commands of a sighted boy "right by three quarters" and not once miss! There's a lack of realism.
Looking doesn't mean seeing. The creators often mention this during the series. - You see? - We reveal our name and slogan in every sense.
But more often than not, we get something like, “Today, tomorrow, not everyone can look.” Or rather, not only everyone can watch, few people can do it.
All of the above, in addition to the crumbling idea of the series, directs him to the typical middle peasants. It was noise.
Humanity is almost extinct for the foreseeable future, and the few million that survived are blind. Dark times have come in every sense - people began to believe in ' father-fire-in-sky' that the sighted are witches who led to the extinction of people, and that the rarest miracle of electricity is the most that God's spark is, and concrete is God's bone. So five hundred years have passed, when undesirables, who can be accused of being sighted, are not allowed to burn. Until a truly sighted person is born. And in the kingdom of the blind, as they say, the one-eyed is the king.
After watching the series, you want to know what was in the book, and why you have never heard of it, but you are surprised to find that there is no book! ' See' shot as if the basis was some good fantastic series of novels by some writer of a fairly high level. But no - before us for some time is a really well-developed and interesting original script, released from the pen of those who have already noted in ' Peaky Blinders', ' Locke', ' Orange - Heath of the Season' and ' How to avoid punishment for murder' Not surprisingly, both the story and the characters were extremely interesting.
The main characters are the oppressive queen, the sighted children of savages, and their mother and father. The latter is played by Jason Momoa ('Aquaman'), who shows not only remarkable fitness and preparation, but also a fairly high level of acting. Better than him, only Dave Batista ('Guardians of the Galaxy') is probably the only wrestler I know who can play well if desired 'Hamlet'. Sylvia Hooks ('Best Offer' Tornatore) is also a great performer - in her performance, the Queen evokes such an irresistible desire to punch in the face that I last felt for the character of Prince Joffrey from ' Game of Thrones' and that says something. All minor actors also keep the brand - none of them will be ashamed for participating in the series.
'Your eyes fail you - you must not see what you are killing, you must feel it,' And it pretty accurately reflects a very peculiar fighting style of the series. Since everyone is blind, it is necessary to kill in such a way that there is no shadow of doubt that the cruelty and level of violence here are prohibitive. Dances and dances of death, especially because of what is not similar fighting style performed by Momoa, admire - as if the fighting brutality of fights ' Reida' multiplied by the blood of battles in ' Joan of D' Ark' Weak-hearted just can not watch and listen to how crunchy and juicy fly away parts of the opponents. For lovers of blood and combat, oddly enough, the series about the blind will be a pleasant discovery.
By the way, the visual component - since this is Apple+, then the quality of the picture can be sure, they are different and do not allow. But here the shots are not just beautiful - they seem to mock the characters who have no eyesight. Such a stunning beauty of nature I have seen except in Iñárritu in 'Survivor'. In the beauty of nature organically inscribed fragments of the ancient civilization sighted - skyscrapers, cars, satellite dishes of telescopes ... Uninformed residents even more shade this contrast with their masterfully made medieval costumes - another.
Of course, there are downsides. No, no, and throw blind characters something that can hardly be explained even by the fact that, they say, they all their lives learned blindly to do - filigree to bite a sword between the plates of armor, for example. The actors also often move their eyes in a way that the blind cannot from birth, and dosed in every second scene. Well, in general, of course, if you are a skeptic-truth, then you will find something to get to. But it's still one of the few shows that didn't let me go until I'd watched all the shows available. I look forward to the third season.
8 out of 10
The series gets a high score for the original idea, acting and visual style. The remaining two scores are underestimated for the dangerously crackling truthfulness of blind life and unremarkable music.
If you want blood and spectacles, look. If you want to dig ' oh yes, of course the blind do just that - I can never see so, and you look at them', then carefully push ' See' Bagrom - let him swim past you. Not making any noise.
Your eyesight either gets in the way or you're hopeless.
I'm watching Season 2, Episode 6. There is also ' Game of Thrones' and the actors did their best. The picture is excellent and the landscapes mixed with the ruins of the post-apocalypse. A lot of intrigue, intricacies, incomprehensibility, especially at the beginning.
And as a person who does not see well (not blind, however), I can say that the loss of vision exacerbates a lot of other senses, including smell, intuition, touch. Making and washing clothes, fighting and surviving, given several generations of blindness, you can learn and better sighted, accustomed to everything ready.
Kofun (the son of Baba Voss and Magra and the biological son of Jerlamarel) has the ability to see. He trains in sword fighting, but it starts as soon as he puts on the blindfold.
I consider blindness an excellent plot component, on which the submission of authors is based. Physical blindness is shown here as spiritual in many. The characters are amazing. And there are many. The second season is more dynamic, richer and larger than the first. But in the first, in addition to the connection and acquaintance with the characters, there is a certain charm.
You won't regret it.
An abundance of positive reviews, not the lowest rating and a fucking weird concept. It is generally foolish to look for logic in a series based on some historical meme that one sighted person will be king among the blind. But the authors clearly claim that everything is well connected. I would like to argue with them.
Even excluding the fact that some indefinite period of time from 200 to 500 years is completely missed, it does not say when, how much, or why people went blind and ALL other world-forming events, logic still has huge problems. Hell with it, believe that people have learned to hunt blind, take birth, navigate in the deep forest, avoid large and medium predators, train dogs and postal birds... trifles. The main problem is not related to blindness. In the world of the film, some kind of tribal system is shown, the rule is inherited, the ruler is considered the priest of the gods. Religion is not explained, except for one rule: “Sight is bad and everyone who is somehow involved goes to the heat.” However, as it turns out quite soon, the queen openly “blasphemed” with the sighted, and a whole army of fanatic crusaders calmly tolerate such a “devil”, moreover, they are not averse to swearing allegiance. They have a weak religion. Some kind of evil, but it doesn't matter to everyone. It is clear, of course, that the writers do not care, and that in the series holes.
Speaking of hearing, the scenes are really bad. Heroes hear, almost, someone else's breath, but do not hear that someone fell, the characteristic sound of pulling a sword from a scabbard, the sound of a medium run and so on. I know it's complicated. The series should have a good sound, or at least some, and the characters are all blind from birth. But if the creators merge the main chip, then maybe it was not worth it?
As with any social soap opera, everything is based on what people do. There are no rules of the world, no rules of conduct, no castes, no laws, even laws of logic or physics. It is necessary to show a blind man who is able not to make a sound in the forest with branches, leaves, insects, sometimes snow, etc. They will. And he won't make sounds until the director needs to. You need to come up with a character who comes out of nowhere, lives quietly among people, and even quite interacts with them, but nobody knows anything about him, or even asks? And this is at a time when the main characters can neither hide in another settlement, nor change names, nor distort their voice, nor pretend to be dumb. There will be. It is necessary to show an army of “heretic warriors” who guard the seers, shoot from the arch by ear, although in the series they directly say that the bow is a “weapon of ancestors”, which is cleverly controlled only by the sighted? We will. Should we stick another Umba-Yumba tribe on the way back, which clearly wasn't there when the heroes walked straight? We will.
The series is based on two things: Momoa’s charisma and a beautiful picture. If you turn on the brain, even for a second, it will start to muddy, a migraine will go, and there will be a strong feeling that you should not continue watching. If you like footage of wildlife, abandoned concrete ruins, tribal themes and Jason Momoa, then maybe you will. But there are many more beautiful TV shows, and Momoa did not only that. So I do not advise you to take up this series, and if you really want, then only if everything suitable has already been revised.
Started a conversation with friends after watching the trailer for the second season, and it turned out that most of the series did not appreciate and do not wait for the continuation. We discussed their grievances. Somewhere I corrected them, agreed on something, but realized that they simply could not understand this new world. I decided to go to Kinopoisk and see what else the audience was unhappy with. I have not read positive reviews, so as not to repeat, but since there are many of them, I think some thoughts in defense of the series may coincide. I apologize in advance.
The most basic thing that many dissatisfied with the series repeat is the fictional world itself. That in the world, after a global catastrophe, the entire blinded population of the planet did not last two generations. Blind people not only make clothes, but also make fabric. Maintain the condition of the dam and make repairs. I also heard a friend complain about why they left the city and went to the forest. I also read in one negative comment that the inhabitants of the earth are too angry and aggressive. The author compares the behavior of the characters of the series with documentary programs about the blind, where they live in groups, and believes that it is “Heaven and Earth”. That the blind are actually kind and not so "brutal." This claim just knocked me off my feet.
So here we go!
Let’s start with the catastrophe that plunged the world into darkness. I really like post-apocalyptic stories. It is always interesting to see what the creators present to us as a weapon that ruined the world. In this series, this topic is only a few seconds and a couple of phrases. We don't know what happened to the world, or why people went blind. Of course, in my opinion, this is an omission. But on the other hand, this disaster happened more than 200 years ago. Unlike the film “The Road”, where the main character found the death of the world, and tries to survive in it, in “See” the apocalypse acts only as an exposition, not a conjugation, and the plot itself is built in the distant future, in which none of the heroes could find the end of the world.
Now to the people themselves. You have no idea what evolution and man in particular can do. In less than a hundred years, man was able to fly into space and walk on the moon. We launched a robot to Mars and sent a space probe beyond the solar system. They built a nuclear reactor and hadron collider. A person has lit up the whole world and makes video calls to the other side of the world whenever he wants. 200 years ago, no one would have believed this. And now it's commonplace. And it doesn't seem realistic to you that blind people can make fabric, fight, and build houses. They only had 200 years to adapt. Of course, beautiful clothing is more of a surrealism, but it is done on purpose. For if the heroes walked in rags and half-naked, then it would not look so beautiful. But the series is not documentary, so a slight embellishment goes only for the good. Look at the blind people in life. For 20-30 years, they perfectly adapt to independent life. They can walk the streets and cook food without help.
And those who are born blind do everything on their own. And in the series we have changed more than one generation of blind people. Evolution has clearly enhanced people’s other senses for the balance of life.
Now, to my favorite, namely that in life the blind are kind, and in the series brutal and aggressive. The explanation here is even simpler than before. In life, the blind are in society. People with disabilities in our world are treated with care and always try to help. That's not what we see in the movie. It does not matter if they are blind, dumb or without hands. Human genes have a struggle in power and domination. In their world, you're not gonna be convicted of killing a blind man. In addition, the plot revolves around witch hunters whose goal is to destroy heresy, not just a senseless massacre. Those who have power do not want to see people. They do not understand them, and therefore fear them, and turn the blind against them. Vision is evil. The sight destroyed the old world. They are heresy, and heresy must be fought. “Among freaks, normal will be ugly.”
To me, this idea is very interesting. I think the second season will bring more clarity to the tragedy of the world and better reveal the characters.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that this movie -- this show, this product of modern filmmaking -- is perfect. Of course, it has its advantages and disadvantages, its own peculiarities, formed during the entire filming process and editing, which could not be avoided, but for the first time in many years I felt something for the film. I felt that it had won its place in my mental archive of watched films, will remain there forever, bringing back vague memories and feelings, will become a canon with which I will compare those pictures, the author of which tries to achieve the same. However, this film is for other shades of feelings, not for joy, or pleasure from watching, feelings of satisfaction, experiencing catharsis or anything like that. Regardless of the plot, the film does not seek to appeal to the main human feelings, i.e. 'happiness' or 'hate' because at some point you realize (me personally) that this is not the main thing. So what's the point, you ask. So, this film differs from others one thing that many have long forgotten - it has a highlight.
The manner of speaking in this world, the shades of pale blue, the attitude towards monarchy, the ideals, the principles, the love of parents, the feeling of oneself in reality, all this is presented in such an existential-philosophical manner that at some point you understand - you too got snuck. The film is not perfect, but it is special, like the paintings of the geniuses of the Middle Ages, unique in its kind. It clings, it makes you believe in yourself, it gives you the feeling that you have touched something secret, hidden from view, some truth that others have missed. The same feeling I felt when I first looked at ' Jacob's Staircase' or ' Fight Club' or ' Blue Abyss' or heard Shade's unearthly voice for the first time, or read a really worthwhile book...
I'm also grateful. I really want to thank the creators of the film, for the fact that they did something special, not another empty action blockbuster, with a twisted plot and unrealistic actions, but a beautiful, intelligent, honest movie, somewhere ugly, somewhere nasty - but having managed to submit it without vulgarity, without a tear, for which it would be ' wildly ashamed'
In other words, I would really recommend this movie to watch, not to have fun for an evening and have an interesting time, but to gain another experience, to put another brick in the monument of your cinematic taste, just to know what cinema is. . .
It is no secret that over the past couple of years, many studios and companies have decided to willingly master and get a piece of the now actively developing and profitable business of streaming services. Apple was no exception, and the “Apple Corporation”, which is fully aware that to beat the now leading in the number of content Netflix and catching up with it Disney+, Apple decided to enter the market “immediately with the ladies”. Having created a large-scale cosmodrama "For All Humanity", exploiting the now popular and resonant theme of the harassing "Morning Show" and so on. Another icing on the cake of the company’s service was also this series created by Stephen Knight, which was called the local answer “Game of Thrones” at the production stage.
The events of this series, created by Stephen Knight, develop in the distant future. Humanity has long and completely lost sight. In order to survive, people had to adapt to new conditions, and also learn to build and obtain food. Everything changes when sighted twins are born in the family of the fearless warrior Baba Voss. The queen of another clan, like others, wants to kill them. Baba Vossou has no choice but to go on the run with his family and understand their purpose.
It is worth admitting that the idea of this series initially seemed rather strange and controversial. When watching this series, you almost immediately realize that its implementation has not gone far in this direction. Throughout all eight episodes, an abundance of various and rich events unfolds, the wandering of the main characters is full of dangers, and the characters repeatedly face difficult choices. At the same time, repeatedly watching this tape gives the impression that the plot is developing in a slightly different direction and does not reveal the full potential of what is happening. Largely due to the fact that the main focus of the narrative is not on the development of the story and the disclosure of the screen world, but on a solid “Santa Barbara” with high-flown and sometimes too pathetic words, emotional suffering, tears and snot of the main characters. That begins to tire after watching the second episode.
At the same time, whatever problems the series has not experienced within the script, it is competent directing and staging of the authors of the series that makes the series more interesting. First, thanks to stunningly staged scenes of battles with severed limbs, rivers of blood, slit throats, inside-out intestines, torn mouths and other charms of the adult rating R. That looks very brutal, cruel, bloody and very spectacular. Secondly, the authors of the series managed to perfectly choose the scenery, costumes and other elements that make you sincerely believe in the reality of what is happening on the screen. Thirdly, the concept of the series is quite interesting. Presenting the audience with a fantastic series about the distant future, but actually presenting the entourage and events of the series close to the Stone Age.
The lead actor Jason Mamoa appeared in the traditional role of a brutal and brave warrior, whom he appeared on the screen more than once. Nevertheless, it is his natural play, complete immersion in the image and powerful charisma that is one of the main reasons for watching this series. Also gladly pleased with their game Hera Hilmar, Christian Camargo, Archie Madekwe and Nesta Cooper. A little greases the impression of Cooper's game except that how unnerving and stupid her character is prescribed.
As for Sylvia Hooks, her character made a rather ambiguous impression on me. On the one hand, Sylvia, as always, is happy with her complete immersion in the image and maximum dissolution in it. On the other hand, her character was prescribed and revealed on the screen from the wrong hands. Part of the series is presented as an offended throw, and the other is a crazy and inadequate character. Thus, only unnerving her heroine, what and how she says, as well as how she gets away with everything.

Seeing is perhaps one of the most controversial serial novelties of the past year and a newborn streaming service from Apple. The authors of this series decided to tell on the screen a rather strange idea, which was presented on the screen in a similar way. Filling all this with an emphasis on solid “Santa Barbarism”, and not on the saturation of history. However, decent directing, bloody and spectacular action scenes, as well as diligent acting and charisma save the situation. Thus, the series, albeit with varying success, but manages to keep the interest of the viewer throughout all 8 episodes, but it is unlikely to hook.
The series is a fantastic anti-utopia on the locations of the post-apocalypse.
Water world and Mad Max with its water expanses and wastelands left behind.
Now the story tells from blind people who survived a certain extinction. Nature has conquered cities from people and now the main landscape is impassable forests, rocks and rugged rivers. Of course, there are also monuments of past years, destroyed, carved and covered with moss and corrosion plants, buildings and various stations.
The main feature of the series is that all people are blind and only a select few can see, and there are few of them as usual, but they are now the hope of humanity.
But it's not easy, the blind have built their empires and tribes. Among them are real angry creatures who rule not by word and deeds, but by knife and slaughter.
The stylistics of the series arouses interest, and very well-thought-out fights give the series a chance for further viewing. By the way, the first 2-3 series were very interesting, but then the holes begin, the acting becomes faded and only some characters continue to pull this project.
To begin with, the minuses here saw only nerds and snobs, in fact, the idea is deeper than it seems, for which many thanks to the authors.
A blind person is a person with a different type of perception. Of course, it is difficult to think through all the details if you are not blind, but the most important authors focus on tactility, hearing, taste, smell. Try to evaluate your loved ones for everything, most likely it will turn out very superficially. The seer is used to living in the picture, without using the other senses, because he often makes mistakes in all directions. ' You see a lot, you notice a little ' Hence the following problem.
To see, some consider it a gift, others a curse. A gift that can make you a god or make you an outcast. Any extreme is destructive in everything. Heroes and maniacs are a byproduct of human society (queen and child outcast, father of many children). Many of the talents of modern society are not working for the good, the best minds of mankind create garbage and help destroy the planet. Because they were not taught to use their talents.
From here we see the citadel of education at the base of the prison. A prison that shuts off the outside world and robs us of what the world really cares about. And the prison is internal - when you limit yourself to the limits of narrowness, selectivity, convention - to abandon the dearest, family and loved ones for the sake of very vague goals.
Family. Caring for each other instead of a thousand words. Trust and understanding. For the first time in a long time on the screen, parents look adequate in relation to children. It may be corny, but parents are the ones who raised and put on their feet. The family is those who are always there, ready to help.
In general, an interesting look at all the same problems, a very not trivial plot, a beautiful picture on the screen, a good semantic load.

Beautiful, qualitative, original - here are 3 words that I would describe the series "See".
Beautiful. The entire visual part of the series is performed at the highest level. This applies to the magnificent shooting of nature, the productions of the frame and the appearance of the characters. In some places you get the feeling that you are watching a quality documentary, such beautiful footage. Also beautiful are the fights, they are like a bloody dance, which is very interesting to watch. Especially in battles, Baba Voss, played by Momoa, stands out, he is magnificent here.
Quality. In addition to great shooting in "See" good sound, as well as characters and plot. In my humble opinion, all the main characters are worked out very well, each is unique and with its own character. Everyone believes and understands the motives, although there are some heroes who hide something, so they remain a mystery, but it is clear that they will be revealed in future seasons. I liked the plot, too. Yes, it takes a little while to accelerate, but with each series it becomes more interesting and interesting. Lots of unexpected twists and cliffhangers, which adds to the drama and interest in the narrative.
Original. The very idea of “See” is quite original, since this is not just a series in the setting of the post-apocalypse, but a completely new concept of this very post-apocalypse, where people completely lost their eyesight and learned to survive with the help of the remaining four senses. And the way the world is shown is just fascinating, you totally believe it. Questions of human confrontations, religion, way of life are worked out and logical.
I also want to mention the range of issues raised by the series. In the first place are, of course, family values, which are given the lion’s share of the story, but there are also problems of faith, self-determination, goals in life, lies, trust, the superiority of some people over others and much more. If you really think about it, the series becomes many times more interesting.
But nothing is perfect, and in “See” is also not perfect, there are shortcomings. First of all, as I mentioned, this is a rather long acceleration, that is, in the beginning, too exciting things do not happen, but from the middle it is quite another thing. And secondly, I think the creators went a little too far with the betrayal and hypocrisy of some characters. For example, when one character betrays the characters, it is unexpected and interesting, but then betrays the second and third. Because of this, you expect betrayal from each new character, and if he really betrays someone, then the effect of surprise does not work.
Nevertheless, in the end, the series “See” is a very worthy product and it is worth watching. I will definitely be waiting for the second season.

It amuses me to realize that you see, but you notice so little.
First, don’t read the reviews, start watching the first episode. If it does, then the series is for you.
It seems that the authors of negative reviews are like people who do not notice the little things in the picture. It is impossible to imagine that people with disabilities may not be disabled in a different world. What can the adaptability of a person for 9-10 generations, if you take away his vision?
This series is not like a stamping series for teenagers, believe me. Doesn't look like a passing movie. Yes, he has collected ideas that have been heard lately, many ardently associate him with the Bird Box or the Quiet Place, as if there were no other stories. But this picture gathered these ideas into a competent shell, balanced, with a good plot, puzzles, spelled out by the characters. It has also been a long time ahead.
There are no action-fights in each series, but the fights that exist are like mesmerizing dances; and yes, damn, they are quite realistic (the Witch watched in parallel... but everyone praises him). There’s no sex here, except for one character’s masturbation prayer; in all the 6 hours they watched, there wasn’t much kissing. There are no holes in the plot, just some do not notice the little things; the film is like a puzzle, you can in the first series give a fleeting clue to the mystery of one of the characters, which will open in the fifth series.
What does he look like? Echoes of the book ' The house in which...' where the armless and legless competed, who will first climb the stairs, and the leader of the world was blind. A good old movie, Blind Fury, I can’t help but celebrate it. Horizont Zero Dawn is probably about exploring the world, getting out of a blinkered village into an aggressive world and finding answers. A bit of Mad Max, who traveled through the settlements and saw the different ways of the newly formed society. A room where a little boy spent his childhood in a garage and thought it was a whole world; for that is how I imagine living all my life in the countryside, sticking to trodden paths; and a simple hike to another place is a whole feat.
Competently everything, from the fights to the behavior of the heroes, who have never caused misunderstandings and the desire to cover your face with your hand. As the author of another review noted, one can only find fault with very cool costumes, or rare clear tattoos; in the blind, this would probably look more careless; but this assumption makes the world beautiful, because they do not consider themselves rags.
And you know, I see a lot of people here who wrote their first reviews of this series on this site. I'm one of them. That is, it is this series and the attacks on it that drove us to this.

Stylish and atmospheric post-apocalyptic adventure series with elements of fiction and action.
The world of this series is a society that, after an unknown virus on the planet, lost its sight and returned to almost a primitive way of life, and the very idea of what a person can see is considered heresy.
The plot revolves around two born sighted twins in the world of the blind, in the family of the fearless warrior Baba Voss, which naturally leads to chaos established civilization and the hunt for children begins.
It is worth noting that the script for the film was written by the creator of " Peaky Blinders" Stephen Knight, which may have been inspired by the novella Herbert Wells 'Land of the Blind' to create and describe the world of the blind ...
At the exit, we have a bright, stylish and atmospheric, post-apocalyptic and adventure picture with elements of fiction and action with an interesting and delicious plot with a complete immersion in this distant and unknown world with a magnificent work of artists and an excellent acting game, where actors hired a specialist who helped to study body language and wean themselves from eye contact, where, among others, you especially want to note the colorful Jason Momoa and cold-blooded Sylvia Hooks.
This is the best show of the year.
I was hooked by the phrase 'Although you see and notice so little'
This series tells us, as viewers, different stories on different intellectual and emotional levels, and we, due to our experience and education, perceive or do not perceive certain stories that are embedded in it.
I think it is not for nothing that the idea of books and the theme of knowledge, enlightenment are presented there.
I agree with the author of the post above (mariinna2018), who highlighted these 3 ideas.
1. The light is the truth.
2. The truth is in the books.
3. Read books and you will see.
Here someone saw for example only ' gags' and ' game' someone drew attention to the proportions of houses or the quality of clothes and the like. But these details are little related to the essence of the picture, because they are only the result of the flight of the imagination of the directors.
In fact, the authors raise deeper themes of values that people live or can live.
For example, I see the theme of illusions, and the theme of faith, with which they can live and be mistaken, making their mistakes in life, sometimes even catastrophic.
Also here is the theme of family relations, and the power of true love, which is not always determined by blood kinship.
And as always, the trump card of a good series is the theme of the struggle for power over people, which boils down to the power over oneself, and to what a person will do to achieve it - whether he retains himself or falls into a pool, betraying all human values. .
Therefore, if you watch this series like this, as if in search of your answers to the secrets of the human soul, then it looks in one breath, it is fascinating, depth and unusual presentation due to the pressure atmosphere in which its heroes are forced to survive. .
And yes, I understand every commentator here, because the answers are your internal response, a response to what you are personally interested in. But in the general mass of reviews - all this is interesting and of course beautiful!
Since the release of ' Quiet Place' the number of paintings pedaling suspense and plot on the senses has increased significantly. Now the main genre using blindness and deafness as the basis of the plot is fiction. For the recently opened competitor Netflix, this theme was no exception and among the high-profile projects of the new AppleTv+ service with no less big names, the post-apocalyptic series ' See' created by the author and screenwriter ' Peaky Blinders' and ' Taboo' Stephen Knight with Jason Momoa in the lead role.
The plot of the picture takes the viewer to a post-apocalyptic world in which people are deprived of one of the important sense organs - vision. Humanity is almost in the Stone Age. Everything changes when sighted twins are born in one of the tribes.
Knight’s ambitious plot really has rich potential: a world of blind people in which you can create countless storylines in the vast expanses of the existing setting. Fantasy seemed to have no limit. However, somewhere here on the field of great potential ' See' from the third episode begins to walk in circles with the dynamics of a real blind man, moving to the touch and offers the viewer everything that he has already somehow seen in other, no less ambitious projects, without supporting either intrigue or suspense. Nothing new in history, nothing new in the characters: the eternal role of brutal furry Jason Momoa was not seen except blind. But the Dutch actress Sylvia Hooks reveals the potential to the fullest, bringing to the series at least some spark of life, alternately shocking the viewer with the madness of her character and scenes of masturbation. And, perhaps, Hooks, the camera work excellent choreography of battles - the only thing that can impress than ' See', being only a bright flyer, inviting the public to the new broadcast network of another large corporation.
Enchanting absurdity for the psychological study of viewers.
The unrealistic nature of everything from the first to the last minute. The plot is not designed for smooth logic with the absence of 'hole'. It is simple ' action' by painfully standard templates. The creators decided not to reinvent the wheel, but simply use known traps to hold the viewer’s attention. No one was going to lick the nuances, the series is hacked with an axe method.
The creators deliberately violated the rules ' what not to do' and it turned out to be a brainchild as from the Indian Bollywood, where the heroes knock down helicopters with a stone, and all brothers, sisters and mothers to each other. I think it's an Indian writer.
On the one hand, the plot is full of unpredictable turns (since there is no logic in them), and on the other, the general line of characters is clear as a white day, as it is ' Bollywood'. All fights are absolutely in Bollywood standards.
The lack of storylines in cinema has been felt for a long time. Against this background, either a very simple serious story is filmed and stretched on details, such as 'Big Little Lies' and 'Euphoria'. Or they shoot a satirical thrash with a frankly absurd plot, like ' And now the apocalypse'. In the series 'See' put post-apocaleptic thrash under the mask of seriousness. This can be regarded as disrespectful to the viewer.
The development of costumes, landscapes, images is aimed not at realism, but at a luscious design picture. Well, in general, the picture is beautiful, the designer can put a solid 4.
What is the interest from a psychological point of view? And why does it haunt the viewer? It turns out that the viewer does not care about realism, subtleties do not matter. You can remove simply 'Fast Food', and with intentional imbalances 'fat' and it will keep the viewer going.
I watched 8 episodes without much fanaticism, as there was no competitor. However, I can say that many other series I have not reached this point. My brain also succumbs to standard psychological traps 'FastFood'.
Would I recommend this series to others? Nope. It is not worth the time spent.
What good can we say? That the idea of a blind society and having a bunch of blunders in the script makes the imagination come up, how would I imagine a blind society? How I could fix these holes. You can write about this for a long time, and this is no longer a review. Definitely, if you follow the realistic, then the action movie would not work.
Many viewers don’t want realism, they watch movies for other reasons. And that's not bad.
Still, this review I will note negative, as in our time the requirements for the series are high, the competition is great. And in 'See' too many templates and too little novelty are used.
To see or not to see, of course, it is better to see, but the series "See" you can not see. . .
I love TV shows. I enjoyed watching Game of Thrones twice (an excellent series, except for the disastrous season 8, which the writers managed to turn into nonsense), I love Dexter, Doctor House, Mentalist, Mysterious Events and many others. . .
There are so many great and just good series. But 'Seeing' is something... Too bad something's not good.
All those who praise it, you will forgive, but I will express my opinion.
Of course, there are only 7 episodes so far, and the series has not even finished its first season, but I just force myself to watch it, not enjoy it.
Yes, it is possible to look for all kinds of messages to modern humanity, spiritual truths and moral messages in “See”, but it is precisely to seek out, and even better, to attract by the ears.
Are you saying a beautiful picture? Yeah, sometimes pretty, so what? But only from the height of the eagle flight, and close, nothing special 95% of the film, the usual views of forests, rivers, mountains and fields. Moreover, the series I can look at beautiful views of the land in a huge variety of feature and documentaries.
Novelty of the idea? Nothing new.
Fantastic? The idea of a blind humanity that wouldn't live as well as in the show if it were blind? No, the scriptwriters fantasized it, yes, but there is no holistic plot, there is no realism of what is happening, there are no intriguing and twisted plot moves, there is no breathtaking narrative, but only terrible stupidity in everything. Even the fights look colorfully staged, but not real, that's exactly fantastic and only.
The story is completely out.
And the behavior, and by the way, the pathological luck of the main characters of the series is striking in its absurdity. . .
There is no dynamic in mind.
The series is not exciting, not exciting, not interested at all.
What can you do about it?
Film ' Blindness' (2008 release), many times better 'See'. It’s also an apocalypse, but what’s the story? Hundreds of millions have not been invested. And to watch ' To see' only because 'Drogo' and 'Aquaman' is absurd., despite the fact that there are originals of excellent quality about them and with them.
I just have one question. How, here's how, with so much money and opportunities, Apple created such a low-grade, boring, stupid, drawn-out and completely uninteresting Series, moreover, in advance contrasting it with Game of Thrones (from seasons 1-7 Masterpiece, season 8, unfortunately, squalor and completeness of insanity).
The series does not have the scale of Game of Thrones, the twists of the plot of Dexter or the intrigue of superhero Bros, there is no realism, there is no in principle that can capture, and captivate, and make you count the days waiting for the new season.
The whole show, we're watching a bunch of people go somewhere that you don't really care about. No one is sorry, no one is delighted, everything is fresh and faceless. Again, there is no scale at all.
The plot holes are huge, slurred, sometimes just crazy. . .
I love apocalypse movies too, but where is it? In the first few seconds of the first series that tells about him? In a beautiful picture of nature and dilapidated buildings of the past? In people living as primitive tribes, and managing to survive being blind, but in a way that in reality would not exactly survive. . .
In my opinion, the main puncture of the series ' See' it is in the idea of blind humanity. Well, the writers could not come up with something really original on this topic, something worthwhile, interesting. Something new to give the viewer the effect of “Wow!”
I personally started watching the series only after reading in the newsfeed about how cool it was and that it had already been renewed for a second season, so cool. And after 7 episodes, I'm disappointed.
We could not engage the viewer with new ideas and fantasize a really interesting world.
And what we were shown and continue to show, boring, stupid, secondary, not interesting,
It would be better to film Fallout or something, with its almost perfect post-apocalyptic world, but it is not clear what is happening.
And the hero of Marrell, so it is generally a sick fantasy of writers, such stupidity and wretchedness in this character is collected that there are no words. . .
This is not a killer ' Game of Thrones' (who, by the way, quite successfully killed himself, for the eighth season), this is not a masterpiece, not even a good movie, no, ' See' this is something else, this is faceless, tasteless, not at all interesting Nothing that is better not to see...
So the bottom line, ' See' you can and better NOT SEE, you won't lose anything!!
