It's a good action movie, but nothing special. The antagonist is impressive, a good image. The protagonist is probably too stone, you expect something more from the declared image of the cleaner. It's a strange name.
Very dynamic and high-quality filmed thriller-action. South Koreans can still do action movies. And as traditional for this country is the rigidity, sometimes even the cruelty of some scenes, but as for me - here they looked quite harmonious.
Retired killer wanted to fly to Panama — the sea, the sun, the beach, hot girls ... when he was informed that his ex-girlfriend was in serious trouble. The former, then the former - logically reasoned Kim In Nam, doesn't it matter? But then the news came that she was killed. Kim flies to Bangkok to figure out what's going on.
Koreans are not uncommon in Thailand, but Kim In Nam is a special guest. As they say about him, he does not look like a murderer, but not a civilian who cuts the lawn in the morning. The stern black suit underscores the seriousness of his intentions to find the killers of his ex. Then, shocking new details emerge.
The image of the Korean John Wick fits organically into the color of slums and densely populated neighborhoods of Thailand, where the life of a person is not worth a penny, especially for the local mafia. It shows how corrupt the law enforcement system of this third world country is. The situation is complicated by the fact that Kim In Nam’s unfinished contract makes itself felt in a very radical and unexpected way.
I loved the movie, both with guns and knives. Contractions are thought out, realistic and keep in suspense. The main storyline is not devoid of humanity, which is characteristic of Korean films. Cinematography is pleasing. The result was quite a nice action movie, in the spirit of John Wick with Korean and Thai contrast. The disadvantages include a simple and very predictable plot.
It's a pretty bloody 21++ action movie. Typical Korean ending. The plot is catchy. Well, the topic of child trafficking, I think, will not leave anyone indifferent. The topic of corruption in law enforcement agencies was raised. All in all, a sturdy Korean action movie. With good action scenes. We can pass the evening. But this movie is clearly not for family viewing. What do you mean by "typically Korean ending." Realism, but in part. If you don’t have spoilers: remember the 2003 movie Metro (not to be confused with Metro 2033) from the filmmakers of the Morning Freshland and you’ll see what I mean.
There is no doubt that the Koreans will once again release a great film. They have it put on stream - that neither the movie is a hit. True, sooner or later there should be a hole, but I hoped that this was not the case.
The film tells the usual theme - a hired killer who wants to stop the bloody work, but the dark past does not let go. In America, it would be clichéd, homogeneous, and painfully familiar, but Asians can reframe any subject in a new light, making mediocrity a candy bar. Namely, seasoning the evil theme with sensual notes of drama. It turned out a very powerful project in which a lot of life, Glavger wants to give this very life to his relatives, literally tears up and mosques. This work excites feelings and fogs consciousness, I really want to empathize with the hero of the tape and somehow help, forgetting for a while that this is a film.
The film is very powerful and energy intensive. We are like together with the hero ribbons rushing back and forth, demonstrating skill and composure. The film is made in dramatic terms, but the action has not gone anywhere. They're Asians! Hand-to-hand fights are made in a beautiful style, it is not stupidly waving legs-hands for beauty (not to offend the Chinese and their kung fu), there is a real fight, cruel, clear and excessively bloody. To watch such an action is a pleasure. That is, there are not so many fights, but they are always at the right moment, do not last for 10-15 minutes, and strictly in the story series stand in their places. This aspect is set at the highest level. As for other action, it is also quite a lot and is also perfectly done. Shooters and chases are demonstrated on the right approach to the case.
The film is old, but the stuffing is very original. Again, and it has already seen a hundred similar, but it is definitely not beaten, looked in one breath with great pleasure. The plot contains many different moves, very eventful and just beautiful. Yes, a gloomy and gray picture can be a bit stuporous at the word 'beauty' but delving into the viewing everything becomes clear. The Koreans created once again a beautiful spectacle containing a wild intensity of passions and emotions. It would seem that in the states and other countries such films have already outlived themselves, releasing the same type of films of a bad level, but the Koreans literally revive this plot point, giving, just giving us a delightful movie.
The movie is very pitiful. There are a number of times when you almost want to cry. This Koreans in bulk and constantly introduced in their cinema. And here it is all so organically furnished that even a transvestite does not irritate, and causes even small, but still feelings of experience. The picture is filled with humanity and pain, and contains certain moral foundations, in particular, that you have to pay for your mistakes.
I recommend it! A very whole movie, showing the criminal world of Korea in a slightly different style, which is why the picture just goes perfectly to the viewer. The atmosphere of the film is simply brutal, darkness, only darkness envelops this work. The effect of what I saw is strong, but not one hundred percent, so still not a dozen from me to this film. Almost, but no.

The story is about a former secret agent on the run named In-nam, who deals with murders for money overnight. Having accumulated a solid profit, the main character decides to rush to Panama, but suddenly finds out that his former lover has been killed, and her little daughter has been kidnapped. In-Nam tries hard to find a little snot (there are suspicions that it is his bloodsucker), while one ruthless maniac Yakuza arranges a bloody hunt for him. Trying to maneuver between the pursuit of hooligans and the killer, the main character is looking for his daughter. . .
A Korean thriller taking a very strong bend on an action movie. But if Hollywood action films are fed up with their monotony, where only the actors change, and the plot and script moves remain the same, then the Koreans in this respect please and revive, it seems, the dead genre. Let the standard idea of the abduction of a daughter be played here, but in parallel a number of important topics will be touched upon: child abduction, organ trafficking, corruption, impunity, which in turn are implemented realistically and cruelly.
In addition to the thriller part of the tape, there is also a share of the action movie, which looks spectacular and cruel. Uncompromising, inhuman, frankly cruel, bloodthirsty - just such fights in the picture, thereby jumping on its head above modern Hollywood shooters with worn-out monotonous scenarios, sharpened under a wide pampered audience.
And although in this film the plot is not so new, and does not present the viewer with unexpected solutions, nevertheless, it is partially nonlinear, eventful, moderately cruel and honest in front of the viewer.
Moral: If you are kidnapped, relax - free food and a roof over your head are guaranteed.
As a result, a good Korean thriller, flowing into a drive action movie, with a bit of drama that can touch the feelings of even the most callous person on this planet.

Overall, it’s fine, but I’m looking at it with distraction. Not catchy. Although the characters are normal, not too pathetic, but not too real. The battle scenes are good, at the end of all these shootings explosions, really good. Not without the Hong Kong heritage. The finale touched on the theme of parents-children. Although I don't like the subject, because as soon as puberty or a child appears in the film, it's all - the plot will be rubbish and complete stupidity. There are exceptions, but few. – Leon, Terminator ? The aftertaste is due to the last 15 minutes. And this is the only photo from the passport that remains a memory of those who suffered a lot (whether consciously, unconsciously - does not matter) that we live.
Strong action movie with a good dramatic component. Korean cinema again pleases with high-quality films staged at the highest level. Cinematography, color, casting - everything is on top. The depth of the drama does not reach the Korean masterpieces like 'Oldboy' (2003) or 'Man from Nowhere' (2010), but you worry about the heroes. And if there is empathy, then the filmmakers have definitely achieved their goal. The action of the picture takes place in Korea and Thailand - the Thai flavor only adorns the film.
Plot 'Save us from the evil' similar to 'Man from Nowhere' (2010). But the idea itself ' an adult man protects and saves a little girl' quite popular - it is worth remembering the cult film ' Leon' or no less cult video game The Last of Us.
Fights and shootouts in dynamics are approaching ' John Wick'. There are movie exaggerations of the power of grenades, but this is forgivable. The finale of the film will not leave indifferent, although for astute viewers the fate of the main character will not be a surprise.
A criminal and dramatic thriller smoothly flowing into a grinding action...
The film tells the story of In Nam, a killer who plans to retire after completing the last order, but by chance, hello from the past, is associated with the kidnapping case in Thailand and along the way becomes the target and target of another killer who avenges his brother’s death.
The director of this film - Hong Won-Chang, better known as a screenwriter (Yellow Sea, Persecutor) than the director, this is his second project, the first - ' Office' - a pretty good thriller, at one time even nominated at Cannes.
So before us is a new hit of Korean cinema, a criminal and dramatic thriller smoothly flowing into a grinding action with star actors of the first magnitude: Hwang John-min and Lee Jon-jae. We can say that the film is divided into two parts, the first is a crime-dramatic thriller about a kidnapping with all the ensuing, and the second is a fire fever.
The movie is quite tough and there are a lot of bloody scenes, but those who follow Asian cinema already know what to expect. You are waiting for ballet bullets, knives and a very spectacular scene in the car, in general, all in the best traditions of oriental cinema, they like no other know about it and constantly, year after year, show us this and show the upper class.
While watching all the time remembered another Korean hit, only ten years ago - 'Man from nowhere'.
I recommend watching for fans of the genre and oriental cinema.
If you are an ardent fan of Korean cinema, you probably watched such films as 'Yellow Sea', 'I Am a Murderer' and 'The Persecutor' written by screenwriter Hong Won-chang, who made his directorial debut in 2015, shooting an atmospheric thriller 'Office' about a maniac in the walls of a multi-storey office building. In the new film 'Save us from the evil' the writer and director followed in the footsteps of familiar themes and made a film about criminal showdowns, killers and bloody revenge.
The plot itself does not shine with originality, but any secondaryness is perfectly compensated by a spectacular production. We are shown a hitman who ultimately chooses the right path, deciding to lend a helping hand to an ex-fiancée whose young daughter has been kidnapped. Desperate desire to atone for his past sins literally before his eyes transforms him, turning an insensitive killing machine into a living person with his weaknesses and fears, but at the same time does not slow down the amount of violence inflicted on various criminal elements.
There is a lot of blood, shooting and human suffering in the film, although the film is not a pure action movie. First of all, this is a straight-forward dramatic thriller with bright action and sensual drama, capable of causing both a smile and tears. But more surprising, of course, are the images of the main characters. Against the background of the standard appearance of the protagonist, an antagonist with a typical cinematic role of a fearless supervillain stands out very much and the comic image of a friend and assistant of a good savior in the face of a cowardly ladyboy, who on the one hand dilutes the excessive severity of everything that is happening, and on the other hand brings a piece of humanity to the history. As strange as it may sound, but in the film, a funny man in women’s clothes looks much more real and open than two menacing straight men with a dark past behind them.
In general, if you like violent and spectacular Korean movies, then this movie is for you. Great movie for evening home viewing.
