Nothing special, but just a nice little show. Soft humor. After "Ms. Marvel," it's a pleasure to watch. I really liked the lead actress Tatiana Maslany. There's no inflated lips-ass-chests, no beauty admiring herself. Very lively, moderately direct
Jennifer Walters, a successful lawyer, dreamed of a career as a lawyer and she succeeded, but she holds a small secret, she too turns into the Hulk, like her cousin. And all because one day she and her cousin get into an accident and some of his blood goes into Jen's wounds. And now she's Hulk, too. She hoped very much to hide it from society, but one day the world will find out about her secret.
Female Hulk was created by Stan Lee and John Busham and first debuted in February 1980 in The Savage She-Hulk #1.
To be honest, I didn’t even know that the Hulk has a female version and maybe that’s why I was going to watch for a long time.
Jenn is very good and positive, despite everything she tried not to give up, her role was played by Tatiani Maslani and she was well able to embody her image.
Matt Murdoch’s debut didn’t come as a surprise to me either, and I’m so excited to have Charlie Cox in the role, he’s very good in the role.
The only thing that upset me about this graphic was that it was very average and not very high quality. In the movies, she was on WHY, and here too unauthorized, not natural.
And the ending was kind of weird. I sat for a long time after him with the thought: “What was that?”
In the end, I can say that I liked it in principle, in any case I watched with pleasure. And if there is a continuation, I will not refuse to watch it.

- Why did you take that off? - Bro, we don't know! Well, kind of funny, kind of laughing, yeah. .
The Hulk Woman is one of those series that was doomed to failure from the start. When the authors publicly stated that in their series, where litigation plays a significant role, they could not write a good court drama, you could give up the whole case. But, alas, a MCU fan once was a MCU fan forever. I watched this series so you don’t have to.
First, let’s turn to a sensitive topic (especially in our country), namely, feminism. I won't hide it. It's here. There are asshole men who climb into a woman’s skirt without asking; there are villains who only pretend to be good; and there are idiot men. And then there is the BREAKER (who understood, he understood), who is the only nicely written character - a man, but who, by a funny coincidence, is turned into a toy of the heroine. And herein lies the malevolent irony of all that is going on - trying to elevate women over men, "Woman Hulk" comes to the opposite result. He creates the most stereotypical, most distasteful and demeaning images of women I have ever seen. The only difference between this and the treatment of men is that the main character eventually comes out dry from the water, despite the fact that in every second of her actions she was guilty of herself.
By the way, the main character - Jennifer Walters is one of the most unpleasant heroes in the history of the MCU. Hypocritical, stupid and emotional bitch who constantly reads morals that she herself could not be prevented. Her whole line with self-determination just seems far-fetched, because in the end the heroine does nothing and does not change. And like the cherry on the cake, her attempts to break the fourth wall and play with the audience are irritating. If the conditional Deadpool with the help of this technique could throw some references to pop culture, fully mock the characters or explain the plot, then Jennifer, in fact, just voices the clichés that occur inside the series, with the attitude of ala ‘Well, it’s bullshit, but you also laugh at this! Why aren't you laughing? Not funny?'
And it is this attempt of the author to go out on some self-irony completely destroys the already shitty series. We watch 8 episodes full of stupidity, irritating characters, broken world order and simply boring events, so that at the end we are directly told: 'Yes, we knew our story was shit! But it was designed! Now we're going to make a couple of meta comments, and we're all going to laugh and go away. No, it doesn't work that way.
In fact, the authors of the show directly spit in the face of the viewer, not shy at all. They could at least try to make a good show, but instead decided to portray themselves as super-duper funny aesthetes that challenge the plebs to the viewer, completely canceling their efforts for the sake of a shitty joke. And after all this, the bosses of Marvel and Disney, as well as a layer of MCU fanatics, wonder why people stop watching new projects. Seriously?
The Hulk Woman is an insult to the viewer's face. Do you want it? Of course not. So my advice to you is to stay as far away from this show as possible.

The review is based on the first three episodes of the first season.
Marvel Studios doesn’t have a lot of TV shows, and they’re relatively recent. These series focus on the secondary characters of the Cinematic Universe (Daredevil, Hulk Woman, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), but how do they do it? Actually, great! But watching most of these series is optional, unlike, for example, the films about “the Avengers”; they complement the universe.
The main character of the series Jennifer Walters gets into an accident with her cousin Bruce Banner (Hulk), and becomes the Hulk. She understands that she will not be able to combine work and this feature, but later she succeeds and she becomes famous.
Very subtly, the authors show the relationship of brother and sister, they “joke” at each other, but always help. Jennifer unimaginably great combines work, personal life and the Hulk, she is strong. And she, just like Deadpool, breaks down the fourth wall and addresses the audience! Jennifer makes perfect use of this opportunity in storytelling. There is a lot of humor in the series, and it is appropriate almost always, and this sets the series apart from the rest. Tatiana Maslani at first did not seem to me some interesting actress, but then she most accurately began to convey the emotions and behavior of her character.
Also very pleased with the appearance of many characters of Marvel comics.
This is a good series, beautiful and simple. There are no long and dangerous fights, wars, but there are interesting actors and no less interesting characters.
That's it. I watched the worst show of my life. God forbid anyone to get caught! And I watched it completely, after watching it to the end! However, not everything is so bad and not so clear!!! It was... I will try to be as objective and constructive as possible, without falling into emotions. The way I saw it. The way I took it. And, I think, then the picture of perception will be restored in consciousness, and then all the pros and cons will appear calmly and without a hat.
I already knew in absentia that this project was being imputed. Morally prepared. Well, he volunteered, signed himself, called himself a cargodem. Jennifer Walters is morally preparing for the trial. And the man says, 'I can do this better!' - unthinkable!! Two women reacted to this attack. But then Jen breaks the fourth wall and tells the viewer how she became the Hulk Woman. She was driving and the passenger was Bruce Banner. The real hulk is her cousin! Distracted because of the usual hollowness from the road, our future heroine did not notice ... a spaceship. The accident, the car rolls over, both cuts, blood gently from Bruce's body digs in (if there is such a word) into Jennifer's wound. - That's easy! (It's been 60 seconds!)
And then there's the thing that you can execute this TV project for. But I won't do that. Exercise emotional exhaust and challenge Halkessa out. And here the creators show that they are fighting not for equality, but for superiority! Hulk is a boobie, a piece of meat. Halkinya is a goddess. Oh, fuck him! The series is designed to entertain, and somehow entertain. Hand on heart, not for the first time to watch the violence of the agenda.
The series ends with, let’s say, a judicial trial! But not legally, but forcefully!!! Our lawyer saves the court from the invasion of Titania by becoming her alter ego. Who is Titania, don't ask. It's leaked. How do I see her? Well, like an antiheroine of the level of "Legally Blonde" (the poster of the heroine Reese Witherspoon by the way hangs on Jen's door). . .
I think that's it. The story is over. That’s how everything the viewer needed to know about the new heroine of the universe is here. Then there are eight filler series, without viewing which it is quite possible to live. The quality level of which will continue to decline. Jennifer, who is a lawyer, works in such a way that it is unclear how and for what she is held! Is it really just because she is a woman? (I'm not kidding right now.) Or for being a special woman? As one of the creators of "Women-Hulk: Lawyer" said, none of them is a guru of law, so the scenario where you needed to know the subtleties in this field, suffered the same fiasco as Jennifer in her affairs.
Fiasco haunts our heroine not only at work, but also in his personal life. But don’t think that the writers took care to prescribe drama, or personal growth of the character! No, and not again!!! Jennifer is impudent, impudent. And when it turns green, it does! What is it, Jen?! You can control your transformations! No, instead we can see a fight in the parking lot with Daredevil, where the green is thrown by a wheelbarrow at the canonical hero.
Yeah, he mentioned Daredevil. It should be said about Emile Blonsky. Abomination. It was her first case. I won't tell you again. And not even because of spoilers, but because really nothing! What is the story other than the first series? Well, they'll steal a sample of that same woman's blood, so that later... To what? In the last series... Oh, that's where the show surprises! And not the collapse of the cliché, but the collapse of the series! As bad as it turned out in the final episode, you can only compare with the Man from Capuchino Boulevard. It's like the movie in BadCommidian's review. That's how horrible it is!! Maybe, of course, the creators decided to go down in history – well, congratulations! Well, really, they didn't come in. What do you think of Kevin Feige?
Well, I didn’t even think I could write this book! I was bombed black. But I was able to calm down. Tons of subpoenas. Lazy approach to writing the script. "Tax-bearing" graphon (oh, that's the last thing I cling to, usually). Unconscionable denouement madness. A complete disregard for fans of the movie universe. Expectations from the future of the MCU.
Don't watch this! Just miss it! 9 episodes... Why? If you count without credits and backstory stories, there will be 180 minutes. 3 hours of history that can be presented six times shorter. Like a comedy, it's not a comedy. Like a fantastic fighter, he doesn't take it out. How simple history is not interesting! I'd rather have a promo tape. .
The more projects get out of the hands of Marvel CEO Kevin Feige, the harder it is to control their quality. If before the release of the blockbuster “Avengers: Endgame” the creative team of Feige still had time to follow everything and the quality was at the level, then after the last release of Tony Stark and Marvel went into all seriousness. They began to produce a huge number of TV series about minor characters and it came out, to put it mildly, controversial. Blockbusters from the studio, which until recently was an industry leader, also began to fail. And now at this difficult time on streaming came “Woman-Hulk”, which can also be called an unsuccessful experiment.
Jennifer Walters is a lawyer who really loves her job. She constantly opens up new perspectives, takes up the most interesting cases and periodically argues with male colleagues who completely refuse to notice her talent. And it was nothing until Jennifer went with her cousin Bruce Banner on a trip, after which they were both in a bloody accident.
After regaining her senses, Jennifer realizes that some of Bruce’s blood has entered her veins, and now she turns into a huge Hulk. But unlike Benner, Walters is able to control her emotions, keep her mind and generally feel great. But once she gets stressed, she gets big and green. However, this does not add much inconvenience to her, except that the whole thing is in the script, which comes up with artificial trouble for Jennifer.
This series became an experiment because it is an absolute comedy within the framework of the Marvel Universe Cinema. If earlier other projects dosed out humor, the "Woman-Hulk" tries to laugh to the end, but it turns out not always good and appropriate, which is why most of the plot turns into a real farce.
In the series, much attention was paid to the court cases of Jennifer, but there is no need to wait for depth and meaning. And the Abomination performed by Tim Roth has become a real clown with pacifist tendencies. Not even the beloved Wong from Doctor Strange saves the situation. He just periodically runs on the light to make a joke and leave.
Jennifer herself sometimes breaks the "fourth" wall, but does it not at all as resourceful as the same Deadpool. In general, this series resembles a parody of itself, which is a full-fledged project.
The Hulk Woman just wants to forget. This series was completely unnecessary. He laughs badly and destroys a well-built history in the past.

So many movies have been made about superheroes that it seems that the nature of superheroism has been explored from all angles. However, even in the title of the series "Woman-Hulk" hidden something if not absolutely original, then quite promising, namely the combination of femininity and, in fact, monstrous. It is natural for any girl to want to be beautiful, attractive and fragile, whereas reincarnation in green-skinned something is clearly the opposite of this. Thus, The Hulk Woman might well be a good psychological drama built on accepting her unsightly second self. I could, if the authors wanted to be serious. But no, the series skips the stop “Incredible horror” with incredible speed, not abandoning the subject of self-acceptance, but switching to something lighter and even humorous.
The fact that the main character of the series is a woman remains decisive for him, and the female origin is key. Perhaps because of its apparent focus on its heroine, "The Hulk Woman" almost completely abandons the central villainous line, in return offering only situational villains necessary not so much to develop the plot as to reveal the character of Jennifer Walters. In this situation, the only real antagonist for the heroine is, in fact, the Hulk Woman herself, on the competition with which most of the series is built. Given that at some point the number of Hulk scenes clearly begins to exceed the number of scenes with Jennifer, the series risks turning into a story not so much of self-acceptance as of defeat in this acceptance. At the same time, proving procedurally somewhere in the middle of the series to other people her unity with the second self, Jennifer, in fact, proves the same to herself. The effect reinforces the affair with one famous character in the last few episodes, which finally helps to conclude that the Hulk Woman for Jennifer Walters is not her opponent, not even her second self, and not quite a superpower, but an integral part of it, like an arm or a leg, so whether Jen is in the Hulk or in a human, she is still herself, and all the achievements of the Hulk remain her – and no one else’s – achievements. In addition, the first series, as well as several final ones, declare that only someone equally unusual can truly understand an unusual person, which somewhat discredits the very possibility of understanding each other by different people.
In addition to the above, the presence of such a character as the central heroine allows you to formulate another important topic with a touch of sociality. The image of the Hulk Woman in isolation from the personality of Jennifer means only one thing - a strong and independent woman from anyone. Her occupation, namely jurisprudence, should reinforce this impression. The obvious visual separation of the Hulk and Jennifer can also be interpreted as the embodiment of the “mask” that strong and strong-willed women “wear” in public, and the human hypostasis of the heroine means in this case, weakness and vulnerability carefully hidden from everyone. But the outside isn’t the only thing that matters in the context of women’s power, or even the main thing. The whole essence of this storyline is embodied in several final episodes, denouncing in a rather primitive manner some eerily archaic, cave sexism, unfortunately inherent in some part of modern society, but, as the series shows, relatively small. "Woman-Hulk" demonstrates that to hate strong women (and women in general) can only people weak, insignificant, nothing more capable than pettiness and meanness. The controversial finale of the season in this case does not mean humanity, but only a refusal to sink in your response to the same level, and, therefore, the real dignity of women like the main character.
Speaking of the “Woman-Hulk”, it is impossible not to mention the lead actress Tatiana Maslani, who created the image of an infinitely charming, a little naive, but biting lawyer Jennifer. She is not so much taking her character on the path of self-improvement as on the path of reconciliation with reality, which still means that her Jen in the final is not the same as at the beginning of the season. In principle, despite the abundance of characters surrounding her, she remains the only true soloist, and copes with this role.
“Woman-Hulk”, unlike many similar series, devoid of pathos and seriousness of its colleagues in the genre, and chooses irony and even sarcasm as a mood. This series is very mundane, very human, despite the abundance of supernatural, so the approaches to solving problems in the main character are appropriate. And in general, this series is very cute, very kind and carefree, albeit simple, but still leaving a very warm and pleasant aftertaste after watching.
The Marvel franchise never ceases to amaze with every new project. On the negative side. When it seems that there is nowhere to go lower, their new work will knock from below.
Female Hulk is a well-known character who clearly needed a project. And there he was. What a disappointment I’ve had since the first series. First of all, we are immediately thrown from place to quarry. They don’t give any background, even a small reveal of the character. It's the first time we've seen him, though. That's okay, let's move on. Second, the moment of becoming the Hulk. Screenwriters who are so ignorant make a banal, stupid and idiotic move that you grab your head. It looks so bad that you already feel a trick. What a cherry on the cake of the first series. An explanation of why Jenn can do absolutely everything Bruce has tried to achieve through years of training and pain. Guess what? Because she's a woman. This is literally pronounced by the character. Really? I understood very well from the beginning that the authors included the theme of gender inequality in the series. But not that much. Don’t modern writers know how to create women in movies who are really strong in different aspects? Why did it work before, and now to get such a character, you have to belittle everything else in the series? I really want to see interesting female superheroes in Marvel, not just a subpoena. After all, in the series, men, almost everyone, are disgusting for various reasons. And women in their background seem right. Is that how it should work in movies? Why belittle someone for the sake of someone else? Just think through the characters correctly. But, no. The series decides to go its own way, destroying the grains of something good. I'm not talking about how other male superheroes are portrayed here. With the Hulk himself, everything was clear before, so here they decided to finish him off against the background of their own cousin. Blonsky's been turned into scab. Yes, trying to change the character is interesting, but not here. And to watch Tim Roth play his hero openly boring is torture. Wong finally turns into a comedian relief. Well, the worst part is Daredevil. In fact, the first major appearance of the hero (the moment in Spider is not taken into account) on the screen with an old actor from the series. And it's so comical to show it. Why? You're just ruining that already stuck image in your head. And the funny thing is that Matt Murdoch gives out more lawyer stuff in a few minutes than Jenn did in the entire series. I'm just moving my hands.
Now the name. It is subtitled 'Attorney'. I hoped there would be something interesting here. But, no. What an interesting idea it could be. A lawyer with super powers protects the rights of other superheroes. How many interesting topics could be shown in the series. But the authors decided not to. Yes, sometimes some lawyer cases flash in series. But the way they are written is laughable. Everything is so banal and stupid that it looks ridiculous. We will show anything, but not lawsuits, and the title will still include 'lawyer'. I don't understand how it works.
The authors decided that the canon should be observed, and left the heroine the ability to break the fourth wall and talk to the audience. And that happens a lot in the series. But why? What the authors wanted to say. These moments do not affect anything, do not add anything. They're just not interesting. Deadpool did it in a funny way, and it looked like it. And here? All for the final moment? Well, he was dumb and stupid. The authors seemed to laugh at themselves, but the viewer is not funny. Did they want to close their eyes to their mistakes? So you've only been able to reveal it to others.
Now the graphics. Here is a character who clearly needs good special effects. After all, the heroine turns into a green monster. What do we see? In places, the graphics on the character's face seem to have started zero from the films. You don't have any great action scenes in the whole show, so why are you messing around? Why make such cheap plastic graphics? And sometimes it looks normal, and sometimes it is simply impossible to look at it. Clean water bottles.
And that was me going to the top of the series. It did not affect humor, idiotic moments (like the dance of the fifth point of the character), ragged plot and so on. The series is just bad at everything. If there were any interesting moments, then literally in the next scene were reduced to nothing. If it was all about the agenda, even it was caricatured and bad. The series is not worth watching at all.
'Woman-Hulk' - a very funny and fascinating spectacle, unfortunately, too short in my opinion, but at the same time brought a lot of positive emotions. A simple story turned out to be very lively and original by the standards of Marvel projects, and therefore certainly deposited in memory much better than any ' Falcon and Winter Soldier'.
So, Jennifer Walters, Bruce Banner's cousin, accidentally receives a dose of his irradiated blood, and then acquires the Hulk's powers, but without his shortcomings. From the start, Jennifer is able to control herself and invoke a powerful green alter ego when needed. Here behind such a simple plot hides an easy story, causing enough interest to watch the whole season in one breath.
The main star of the series is Tatiana Maslani, who is equally good as both Jennifer Walters and the Woman Hulk. A sweet and charismatic actress, about whom I had some doubts at first, coped with her role, or rather the roles, perfectly.
The company was made up of actors whose names tell me absolutely nothing, so I can only say that almost all of them were in their place. But as episodic appearances, both Mark Ruffalo, and Tim Roth, and Charlie Cox, expected by all, in the beloved image of Daredevil, and Benedict Wong, flew. In general, the cabbage turned out to be a worthy, fanveris sea.
Humor, by the way, in the series is also enough. The narration prepares all sorts of jokes and gags that look quite organic, which is not always the case with Marvel projects. By the way, the Hulk Woman is able to break the fourth wall, yes, just like Deadpool, and address the viewer directly. And in the plot they tried to use it to the maximum, turning the entire final series into a phantasmagoric, but very interesting and original farce.
At the same time, as a superhero 'Woman-Hulk' practically does not work. Don’t expect a lot of action, the series turned out not at all about that. 'Woman-Hulk' this is a story not so much about Hulk Woman, but about Jennifer Walters in the first place. The superhero does not become its main path, it does not put life on it, and in the end this approach also distinguishes the project from other Marvel stories.
Verdict: 'Woman-Hulk' it's a good show. Fun, kind, original for the series. And the Hulk Woman herself, by the way, turned out very good. I don’t know how much they paid CGI artists, but the cute facial expressions of a green woman were successful. I recommend it.
The Hulk woman turned out to be a rather interesting deconstruction of the comic. Literally. As the Hulk, she immediately begins to tear down walls. But unlike his cousin, not literal, but fourth.
She talks to the viewer, gives meta-comments, does not follow the canon, and in the end and breaks into the writers and asks to rewrite her stubborn finale of the series.
Many people were deeply offended by the fact that she did not go through the Hulk’s path to self-control and, in general, her becoming too fast and stupid. That's the point. There was no formation, and it is absolutely absurd to compare it with the Hulk and indignant: “What is it better?”
The authors wildly trolled this layer of viewers literally recreated them as the main villains of history - Internet trolls who communicate 1 in 1, like all critics of this story. At the same time, the heroine is simply stunned by what is happening and is surprised that she was dug up: after all, she is not at all interested in heroism in the way that is expected of her. She's not a fucking hero. She's a lawyer. Like, let her just be a lawyer and close cases. Leave the person (character) alone. She's no better than the Hulk. She's different.
In addition, a slightly different question about the alter ego is raised here. If Bruce was literally becoming a different person, for Jen, her Hulk is a mask. She doesn’t have any problems with him: she doesn’t have to fight the rage, to subjugate her “animal” essence. This is the way of Boehner, the “male” way.
For her, it is extremely valuable that she will be recognized in all versions of her identity. Having become huge and successful, it will not lose itself.
The Battle of Bruce: Between Mind and Emotions In Jen’s case, the battle is between who she wants to be and who others see her as. Both heroes find this balance in their own way, accept themselves and become better. And it is very cool that they have completely different paths to this and you can at least take a break from the typical template stories of the MCU.
Every time you watch film products made by “women for women”, the question involuntarily arises – who pushes such segmentation of the audience in film companies – feminists or still marketers?
Judging by the data, to achieve a big difference in the estimates of male and female audience Marvel failed. .
The plot of the series is as simple as the costumes of all its superheroes. During the half-hour series, a female lawyer (who became a superhero in the most ridiculous way) gets acquainted with a new case (but, here is the feature of the series), does not bring it to the end, because the hero is a woman, and for her personal life is more important than work.
It is difficult not to note the unethical behavior of the heroine as a professional lawyer: she certainly expresses a personal hostile attitude to her clients, always lets out a few offensive “jokes”, and in general, as a lawyer should, does not even try to follow the language and simply does not close her mouth for a minute, commenting on everything that is happening around. The authors simply invented a new profession: a clown lawyer, emphasizing this XXL suit, in which the heroine passed half a season, baggy sitting on the lawyer, and after increasing the size, oddly enough, and on the hulk. The same applies to the uniforms of the other superheroes: they are poorly tailored and mediocrely worked out, as if schoolchildren went on Halloween, stealing costumes in a visiting circus chapito. As the saying goes, “Congratulate your stylist, he has a great sense of humor.”
Alas, no better than costumes and three-dimensional characters, for some reason the creators decided to replace the Hulk with a 3D model even in standard situations, when it was possible to do with makeup, because in addition to skin color and height, nothing changes in it, but alas, while facial expressions, saccadic eye movements and folds of clothes of the three-dimensional Hulk look no more realistic on the screen than Shrek 20 years ago.
And although the author and screenwriters, apparently, having taken from the dusty shelves textbooks on eugenics, were able to teach the heroine the ability to adapt to elevated testosterone levels and stress, “thanks” to constant oppression in the “male world” (although modern studies show a much lower ability of women to suppress aggression with an increase in testosterone levels), the most surprising attempt to present the needs of the female audience fundamentally different from the male one).
Do female viewers really want their heroines not to make any efforts to solve problems, and all issues on work, career and relationships were solved on the principle of collateral damage, without distracting from the “main” – the endless search for the perfect guy?
And is it so important for women that the heroine behaves like a “girlfriend” – sharing “on camera” with viewers “their” thoughts about what is happening in the frame?
Now, no Marvel Cinematic Universe film series can bypass a lot of discussion and, increasingly, critical reviews. Female Hulk has been subject to a wave of criticism since the trailer - especially the appearance of the heroine, who looked very unrealistic. I try not to judge the film-series until it is fully watched, so I write a review after the end of the season. And I risk to run into a wave of criticism, because the series did not seem as terrible as many people believe, and even somehow liked.
We present to your attention Jennifer Walters - a talented lawyer, who shines a brilliant career. But everything changes one incident: during a family trip with cousin Bruce Banner and an accidental accident, Bruce's blood enters Jen's wound and, as a result, Jen receives the power of the Hulk. Learning to manage new abilities, Jen, much to Bruce’s surprise, decides not to become a superheroine and wants to continue his normal life and legal practice. In addition, Jen gets a job in a special department of the firm, which deals with cases related exclusively to superhero lawsuits.
What I was initially interested in the series - not only the introduction of a new superheroine, but also a new genre. Americans are very fond of procedures, series, where each series is the everyday work of people in professional fields of activity - for example, police, firefighters, doctors and lawyers. Using the female-hulk genre of procedure in the legal field, Marvel decides to move away from the usual theme of saving the world from any misfortune with the help of superhero teams or alone, and show us the other side of their world. These are ordinary people who live in apartments, go to work and just want to live as quietly as possible when something supernatural happens periodically. And for me personally, it was also interesting to watch everyday superhumans, in this case in a courtroom where superhero lawsuits are now being tried. But it is quite possible that such routine and everyday life has not gone to everyone - after all, you subconsciously expect something unusual in the project about superheroes. And yet this can be attributed to both disadvantages, but also as advantages - since watching the everyday life in a world full of superheroes, supervillains, alien invaders, friendly aliens, androids, etc., it is already worth considering.
The second thing I liked was the humor. Marvel’s MCU is always more humorous, but in the Hulk Woman, they reach sky-high heights in a degree of self-irony over themselves. I don’t know about the others, but I’ve laughed in every episode, whether it’s the heroine’s dialogue with the audience (breaking the fourth wall), or the most incredible situations involving superhumans like an anger management circle, or any of the superhero suits where you’re just amazed at the degree of improbability and even absurdity of what’s happening in ordinary people’s lives since superheroes have become commonplace in their world. And as for the breaking of the fourth wall - then it is thoroughly destroyed, and incredibly funny!
I liked a lot of the characters in the series. Tatiana Maslani - Jennifer Walters, who received the powers of the Hulk by pure chance, does not believe that now she should become a superheroine and fight dangers ' Avengers level' She wants to pursue a legal career that she has spent years studying for, not just because it was her dream, but because she wants to help people. But as a Hulk Woman, she’s clearly not going back to normal life – especially when she’s fired from her old job and invited to a new one, but only because of her new abilities. Which raises even more relevant to date additional topics (but even in my tolerant view – somehow there were a lot of them). But I really liked Jen: funny, open, trying not to be discouraged and treat with a positive attitude to life problems. And as for Hulk Woman, I can see why she looks so weird. Because she's in the usual quiet environment and in the light of day - not in battle, not in torn clothes, and not growling and destroying everything around, and we're used to seeing the Hulk. Here in the fighting night scenes, the Hulk Woman in my opinion looks much cooler and more spectacular! I wonder what will happen next?
Still, the coolest heroes here were those who have repeatedly appeared in the Cinematic Universe: it was very nice to see Mark Ruffalo and both in the image of Bruce Banner, and in the image of the Smart Hulk, who will teach Jen to control the power of the Hulk, will enter into a vivid confrontation about her future plans, will start to remember her teammates and still present a lot of surprises; after 14 years, Tim Roth returns to the MC in the role of Emil Blonsky (now fully, not only in the anti-hero), who is now trying to get the help of Jen, as if I find an early release; The supreme wizard Wong (Benedict Wong), who will appear in court both as a witness and as a defendant; and the most striking appearance was with Matt Murdoch (Charlie Cox), who is now a full-fledged hero of the MCU! Of course, a lot has been said about this new Daredevil (I watched all 3 seasons of Netflix and very much waiting for the rebut), but personally I really liked this image of the famous vigilante from Hell's Kitchen, a lighter, even cheerful - well, not all the time he walks with a heavy heart, why not be a charming and very good lawyer?
Woman-Hulk - the series is quite controversial, obviously not everyone will like. And I won’t say that I just liked everything – there were certain questions and complaints, and I probably won’t review it completely, but most of the time I watched the series with pleasure, and some points I will still review. Perhaps its further development will go a little differently. Good luck!
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law' (2022) – Breaking the Fourth Wall must be the right only for those who know how to use the other three.
Okay, shit. Helpless pop-bread with attempts at postmodernism.
Which is especially bad:
1. Scripts. About 70-80% are solid filers. There is no general history (exciting, with dashing intrigue). As well as there are no separate witty bright novel series.
2. The character. She's stupid and boring. As a professional, she is undisclosed (or rather, disclosed as a non-professional). She has no interests or anything “deep” (such as complex reflection). No mystery, no passion, no desire for knowledge, in short, there is nothing that would make it even a little interesting.
3. Postmodern techniques. They do not work, that is, they do not add anything fundamentally important either to the plot, or to the image of the heroine, or to the general concept. The finale - with an attempt to break out of the format - is unimpressive and pityful for its beggarhood. In terms of imagination, as well as the use of resources.
And the finale. Why is it bad not only technically but ideologically as well? We are sometimes stressed during the series: look, she is the Hulk, she is a woman, she is a lawyer. She's not just a "hulk wreck." It is there so that a new thinking female character will appear on the screens, different from many other “hulks” (who wave their fists) and many other “concerned ladies” (who do not pass the “Bechdel test”).
But what do we see in She-Hulk? The main storyline - the heroine is looking for a man. And in the proverbial finale, what does our Hulk do? - Yes, right, waving his fists. I could, for example, sue the studio as a lawyer and as a professional, for sexism, objectification and exploitation. But no. Again, like dozens of other “hulks” she is simply waving her fists. Attorney at Law? Don't make me laugh.
Men! Disgusting, toxic, narcissistic, vulgar men! There was something about a female lawyer.
Okay, in fact, the series is not as bad as it is painted, can give a pleasant impression and surprise with interesting moves. But everything in order.
The series tries to present a purely female version of the world view, in particular, on American life, in a simple satirical form. For the most part, it is a comedy and social drama. The second (and should be the first) his task — to tell about Jennifer Walters, an ordinary girl working as a lawyer, who suddenly received superpowers Hulk.
By the way, it turned out very stupid, fast and clumsy. Oh, oh, accident, Bruce's blood got into my wound, now I'm an imba, and the Smart Hulk is jealous of me. The annotation promises that the Hulk Woman will learn to manage her powers, balance between green and normal. But she learned it literally in the first fifteen minutes of the series, because she is a woman and always lives in anger and fear.39 Unforgivably little time is devoted to the process of realizing and mastering your Khalkov nature.
The rest of the timekeeping is devoted to the popular now ' self-acceptance', only in a slightly different plane. And here the idea and implementation as a whole succeeded. What problems Jennifer/Woman-Hulk faces in everyday life is quite interesting to watch. But the work of the lawyer somehow did not grow together. There are no really interesting cases, no lawyer cunning, no use of the opportunities of the Hulk Woman in court. And while there were a couple of funny moments related to the work of the lawyer, it is only the background for other social drama.
You can't pick on the cast. Everyone plays well in comedy and drama. Separately note Tatiana Maslani, as the series is still about her. Thanks to her, the character came out alive, interesting and colorful, and in her experiences quite willingly believe.
The main disadvantage of the series left delicious. We are offered a satire on men from the point of view of ... well, apparently, 15-year-old feminists who know about guys only from the words of other radical feminists.
The series literally from the first minutes not only tells, but throws in the face of the viewer the thesis about what all the men are goats. And if there were a couple or three of them, you could still believe that this is satire, and agree, they say, yes, there are such scoundrels who show themselves in a bad light, and women do not give rest. But the series made literally every male character disgusting. And I'm not kidding. Not disgusting here are only: Father Jennifer, her colleague, Daredevil, Abomination (haha, almost a pun) with his group of psychotherapy, Wong and Hulk. And it so happens that almost all of them are superheroes who have previously appeared in Marvel projects.
But why do modern women perceive reality in this way? I think both men and women should ask themselves this question. And if the answers are the same, I have bad news for you.
In sum, 'Woman-Hulk: Lawyer' is a series primarily about a woman, the second about a lawyer, and only the third about the Hulk. It is hypertrophied, ' superheroic' and humorously shows how many women now see themselves, their domestic and work problems, men and relationships in general. This is a matter of perception, not realism, and this is why the series is unfair and unduly categorical. In addition, there are plot flaws in the form of crumpledness at the beginning and modest attention to advocacy. The advantages include funny unpretentious dialogues, a fresh look at the everyday problems of the new superman and a good self-irony in the last series.
With that potential, it could have been much better.
Attention! The review was written at the end of season 1!
While waiting for the release of at least some good film from the studio Marvel (the quality of their full-length films decreases every year), I decided to turn my attention to the series. According to viewers, the showrunners began to work better than full-fledged films. And so, by the end of 2022, the screens will be released Woman-Hulk: Lawyer: a local story of one superhero, focused on personal problems, rather than universal disasters. Success, I thought, is what can be done well and efficiently. But that wasn't it. . .
The first series "Woman-Hulk" ' Destroys' already existing in the Cinematic Universe character: Bruce Banner, the brother of the main character. Jennifer Walters, having received his strength in some murky way, turned out to be better than him in everything: she easily controls transformation, and is endowed with no less power, so also 'beauty' To ashes trampled all the efforts and path of the Hulka, which we saw in the early works. All those experiences for his ups and downs in the difficult life of a superhero-giant, which humanity did not accept.
Along with Bruce, the series also destroyed the fourth wall. He destroyed so much that three others collapsed. The main character absolutely tactless communicates with the viewer directly from the screens. But if in the same Deadpool it was easy judgment, then Woman-Hulk went too far. ' You did not come here for this' - the most stupid phrase that can be uttered to the viewer. You don't have to guess why I turned on your show. The task of the work is to tell a rather fascinating story that can attract and entertain the viewer. But you don’t have to show me openly how the character decides what’s best for me. I can decide for myself!
The season finale devalues everything: the previous eight episodes, and all the early work of the studio. The frames of the cinematic universe are broken, now it is not a fictional world, but just a set where showrunners simply operate. Magic, superpowers and remnants of the atmosphere disappeared in just 20 minutes of the last episode of the series. I haven't seen such a poor ending in a long time. The most terrible thing for the work is the lack of emotions in the viewer. So I silently turned off the series at the end of season 1 and just don’t intend to return to it. There's nothing in it worth paying attention to. Moreover, the story of the character turned out just about nothing. It has no clear beginning, no hint of a local final. Stan Lee would burn such a scenario at the stage of the idea even, let alone release on screens.
R.I.P. Hulk...
I think it is impossible to overestimate the enormous impact that the Marvel Cinematic Universe has had on the development of modern cinema. Not only popularizing the genre of superheroics and film adaptations of comics, but also setting a “fashion” for single cinematic universes with an abundance of characters associated with a cross-cutting plot. However, despite their “monopoly popularity”, the studio is increasingly accused of monotony. They say all the experiments, the freedom of creativity of directors and the like remains only in words. The only exception to the rule (following the recent “Night werewolf”) can be called this series directed by Kat Koiro.
The series revolves around Bruce Banner’s cousin Jennifer Walters, who works as a lawyer. One day, as a result of an accident, Jennifer is infected with the blood of her cousin and receives his abilities. Jennifer will learn to manage her newfound abilities and continue to work in the newly created Department of Superhuman Rights.
To begin with, Kevin Feige did keep his promise and instead of another superhero project, we have a symbiosis of legal procedure and television comedy with all the ensuing consequences. Within the format, history works as it should. Even for the sake of procedural principle, a new character appears in each new series. Thus, not only the Hulk, Emil Blonsky (aka Abomination), Wong and other characters, but also Daredevil, who made his debut in the MCU (not counting the cameo in the last Spider-Man), looked at the light. And Jennifer Walters as a character is not poorly revealed. However, it is worth admitting that the story itself seems very secondary and even flirting with the breaking of the “fourth wall” seem far from the most impressive. Not to mention the provocative and militant feminism of this series. Especially in the first four episodes, in which the men are either short-sighted or repulsive. When as women again in the image of oppressed and unfairly pushed to the background “insidious white men”.
Cat Koiro as mentioned above created a symbiosis of genres of legal procedure and comedy TV show. The series certainly captivates some ease and surprisingly not bad in the multi-part format visual effects. However, the series itself, despite its really fresh and experimental style, seems very secondary and inconspicuous at the level of perception. Really memorable can be called only the eighth series with Daredevil and cool action scenes in his performance.
Contrary to expectations, Tatiana Maslani perfectly got into the image and perfectly played her character both as Jennifer Walters and as a Woman-Hulk. Willingly pleased with his game Mark Ruffalo, Tim Roth and many other actors. Especially Roth and this despite the fact that I categorically did not like what a comic laughing stock Emil Blonsky turned on the screen. The same can be said about Jamila Jamil.
6 out of 10
Hulk Woman: Lawyer is Kevin Feige's promised symbiosis of legal procedure and comedy show that stands out markedly among the traditional superhero lineup of the cinematic universe. Really bringing a fresh genre look, a worthy reveal of the iconic character and great acting work. However, it is worth admitting that the story itself turned out to be terribly boring and passable, and the project itself is not catchy. In this regard, you can see it once. But to review and rank in various tops - hardly want.
So that ended the Marvel project that I was watching, grinding my teeth, constantly indignant about what I saw. And you know what? As a result, I liked it - because in the final episode, Jennifer Walters learned to communicate with the viewer more often, became less constrained and even expressed the opinion of the majority, making an unexpected twist at the peak of the plot denouement.
I hope that characters like Abomination, Hulk Bruce Banner, Daredevil only in a duet with the Woman-Hulk decided to perform in a comic role in order to please the task and the given genre frame. In my own solo appearances or bigger blockbusters, I hope it gets more serious. In general, if you consider “The Hulk Woman” as a separate project, and put the entire movie universe out of your head, it turned out to be a good comedy television sitcom, uneven, completely untalented at the beginning, but growing before our eyes, eventually turning into a self-contained original mature series. It’s going to be great to see Jen in the Avengers level crossovers where she’s going to be breaking through the fourth wall in the same way that I want to see in tandem with Thor, Cap, and Deadpool. I’ll see how they share the screen with each other.
I watched this series and could not understand what it took so many people ... Weak story? Toxic feminism? A narrative agenda? Not epic enough? Is that what you were waiting for?
If we consider the claims to 'Woman-Hulk', then most of them will be somewhere in these groups and it is with them that I would like to begin my review.
Weak story.
Let’s be frank – smart storytelling is not a strong point of any Marvel series. All of them, if you understand, go on the same tracks, the rails of which are assembled on the same conveyor. Somewhere better, some worse; some more interesting, some mediocre. But in general, I can’t distinguish anything from the Marvel series that is any different. Yes, there is 'Loki' who comes out primarily on the huge fan love for Tom Hiddlestone and everything that follows from it. Of course, in the series there is chemistry between the main character and his female version, but otherwise it is exactly the exploitation of the already existing, including the traditional for modern products of the studio fanservice built on cameo.
And most of the Marvel series is collected on this. 'Wanda /Vision', 'The Falcon and the Winter Soldier', 'The Hawkeye', mentioned 'Loki', these are all products exploiting secondary characters of the main movie universe, just as the same 'Agents of S.H.H.H.D.'b.'&&B.'&b>A.A.
There is another line trying to introduce new characters to the MCU - 'Moon Knight' and 'Miss Marvel'.
Well, 'Woman-Hulk' is a fusion of these two approaches, on the one hand, the introduction of a new character, on the other hand, a total construction on a cameo from the MCU. Apogee of the current film production - serial budget version 'Spider-Man: No Way Home'.
And, it is worth noting, everything would be quite dull if not for one nuance - the self-irony present in this series, which does not much straighten the mediocrity of the plot, but also does not allow it to slide into quite frank suck.
Feminism and the agenda.
There's a lot to talk about. I’m one of the type of viewers who crooked from the scene of Infinity War, when Black Widow pompously declared that Wanda wasn’t alone in showing us the women’s fight. I’m the viewer who almost vomited from the sugary scene from 'Endgame' when the entire female cast of Marvel gathered in the frame to give lyubes to the troops of Thanos. And in general, I treat feminism and the stupidly pushed agenda with disgust. But I didn't see it all in 'Hulk Woman'. No, of course, these topics are addressed regularly, but not pretentiously and stupidly, as is done in other projects. 'Woman-Hulk' this is the case when the agenda in it looks adequate because of the very essence of this product. And, yes, I didn’t understand why there was so much resentment about thinking about Cap’s virginity, or the twitching of the main character. Why not really?
It seems to me that the main problem of such criticism lies not in the questions raised, but in the fact that for the modern viewer, saturated with all this, these topics act like a red rag on a bull. But, again, if you take into account the specifics of the series ( and the character), which is closest to the unforgettable Deadpool ( only with the corresponding semi-childish rating), these jokes do not seem to me something completely inappropriate. Let's be honest, if Cap's virginity was a talkative mercenary, no one would say a word. And here is a woman... how dare she. . .
We didn't expect that.
False expectations are a complex topic. The question is, what did those who were unhappy with the series expect? And most importantly - what allowed us to expect something outstanding from such a product, especially against the background of other Marvel series?
However, personally, this negative attitude to 'Womens-Hulk' on the part of angry viewers benefited. Since I was expecting something very poorly digested against his background, like the same 'Batwoman' (not be remembered by night p). But no. This series is quite watchable, easy and unobtrusive. It lacks the stars from the sky, but it does not cause any severe rejection. At least in my case. I’m unlikely to review it, but I will not regret that I spent my time on it. As another milestone in the development of the MCU, it looks quite in its place and causes much less rejection than the same 'Falcon and Winter Soldier' for example.
If you are interested in the development of Marvel's superheroics and you follow the MCU, then 'Woman-Hulk' definitely will not be a complete disappointment for you, especially if you understand what this product is and that it is not worth waiting for something stunning and outstanding.
For one view as a light undersitcom, it will do. And again, if you're pissed off by any touch of feminism and the agenda, it's not so much them as you. I understand that this is a sick callus, rubbed with a lot of stupid and intrusive crammings of all this anywhere, but within the framework of 'Women-Hulk' all this is at least in its place and even justified.
As for me, I am not enthusiastic, but I am not disappointed. I think this character will quite find his place in the MCU, and it will be interesting to see where it leads, especially after the appearance in Marvel Deadpool. I would love to look at the intersection of these two characters on the screen. In the meantime, from me:
The film studio is deadlocked! Projects to introduce new heroes are a dangerous move, especially after the arch of the first Avengers is completed. The series have become relevant since the quarantine, but if “Wanda/Vision”, “Falcon and the Winter Soldier” and “Loki” continued the stories of already proven and settled heroes, then “Miss Marvel”, “Woman-Hulk” give a completely new course. Why did the "Hulk-Advocate" get shot at? For equality, for the promotion of the status of women in the series and for legal disputes in the courts, which justifies the presence of Matt Murdoch. Unfortunately, Daredevil is the only thing that pleases when watching “Woman-Hulk”.
The graphics since the trailer didn’t look good. When was this filmed? 2021-2022? Yes, in The Incredible Hulk (2008), the second film in the Cinematic Universe, the Hulk looks much better and more natural. The plot of the series is stupid, although it raises issues of identity. Quiet Jennifer Walters, cousin of Bruce Banner, is presented immediately in a comic tone. Accidental and stupid coincidence in the first series let into the story a new heroine. Except in the comics, Jennifer was dying in the hospital when Bruce Banner offered her his blood for healing. Funny trip with my brother, accident, accidental incest. Absurd, sucked out of a finger. It is so stupid that it does not fit into the head.
The Hulk has fought so many times both on Earth and on Saakar, shed blood. Everyone would have been Hulki by now, but we just have a problem like this. The series highlights Bruce’s influence on Jennifer, demonstrating training, awareness of her sister’s new body. It seems logical, funny, destructive, but it happens within the framework of one series to further put a lawyer with new abilities in the routine of law.
Like the usual life of a lawyer, the series inserts various cases. Superhero rights, legal protection, and representation in court are common. Moreover, Jennifer has no identity secret, she can take the form of the Hulk when angry, but calmly controls the transformation in the usual state. Opponents in the show? It's an empty room. You can immediately see that women were responsible for the production (maybe a TV series for girls?!), because copyright problems, the battle of the model diva Titania, which has superpowers, and disputes with ex-boyfriends are small and narrowly focused.
In fact, the series tries to play references and cameos. The plot arc of Abomination touches on Emil Blonsky's fights in "Shan-Chi", and also inscribes Wong with his portals. What's the show gonna do? Develop an alter ego and counteract personality drama. Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde vs. Jennifer Walters and the Woman-Hulk (yes, Stan Lee was based on the novel by Robert Lewis Stevenson in creating the Hulk), so the series touches on issues of dating, communication and self-acceptance. Who cares about Jennifer's quiet when there's Hulk Woman? This is where the series fades. Where's the fight? Where's the battle? It's not Bruce Banner, but it's still the Hulk.
Absolutely nothing! Although litigation affects both copyright and small superhumans. A fashion designer who makes costumes for superheroes gets sued. One thought develops on this in the middle of the series, the plot goes on until it is interrupted by proceedings with Abomination. Here and attributed to the magic of Wong, then attract the constant intervention of the magician in the life of Jennifer. For the fans, here's the magician from Camartage. The trial of a former student of magicians who kept a ring for the portal. Snaps, small story arcs that are resolved in one series.
Returning to the fashion designer, the series catches its breath, revealing the important attribute of the devil's costume of "hell's kitchen." That's what's interesting, because Matt Murdoch's story, after three seasons and The Defenders, really stuck. He's a cool hero, he's a realistic character. After appearing in No Way Home, Daredevil received a new direction in the Cinematic Universe, and the project about a lawyer just allows you to connect the accuser and the defendant in the field of law.
Pleases on the screen and Matt and Daredevil. The new costume, referring to the first appearance of the hero in the comics, completely captures attention. The graphics of the Hulk Woman are no longer so striking. Unfortunately, it is the intertwining with Murdoch that shows pleasure, but when a secondary character leads in your solo series, the problem is with the series itself. The main storyline brings everything together so primitive and banal that there comes ... a breach of the “fourth wall”!
Yes, the creators had enough self-irony to Jennifer openly stated: the series is bad, boring and saves him only Murdoch. It was unexpected. The project mocks itself, showing not only the entire Disney and Marvel studios, but also expands the possibilities of appealing to the viewer. In this comedic vein, Kevin Feige himself appears, issues of the sameness of projects are raised. Jennifer directly shows that after Avengers: Endgame, the Cinematic Universe fades. What to pull, where to expand? Loki introduced a new villain, and interest withered. Why did you need Hulk Woman? For novelty. And this is the standard replacement of the first lineup of the Avengers.
The Hulk Woman is a boring studio project. Even "Miss Marvel" developed the main idea, and Jennifer has many twists, minor proceedings and cameos of other characters. The final scene of the series is a family dinner in the backyard of Toretto (so funny that you do not notice the deplorable situation – Marvel quotes “Fast and Furious”). In addition, the Hulk's son is Shrek. It's a wild hoar. The post-credits scene doesn't say goodbye to Abomination, only to be remembered again 13 years later. Be careful there, Tim Roth is not getting any younger.
Abomination, Wong, Hulk, Titania, Frog (not to be confused with the mutant Toad from X-Men), Mr. Immortal, Daredevil - this is what tried to bring the series, but it came out scantly. What's next? Black Panther sequel? Let's get ready.
Here is again a living example of postmodernism in cinema, where creators can’t come up with anything new and instead recycle the recycled. The reason for this is a giant commercial company that sets goals on quantity, not quality.
As a result, we have a new character with a standard story, but the authors are trying to convince the viewer of the novelty.
The main character gets super powers, but not happy about it. Jennifer Walters is trying to lead a normal civilian life. To confirm such a non-standard plot for the genre, the authors add the type of activity of the hero to the title. She's a lawyer! Naturally, the Hulk woman cannot contradict her new nature, or rather, the authors again did not dare to take the original step. What's the point of telling a hero to be a lawyer? Nothing! Or you could go the other way and focus on Jennifer's struggle with her second self. But whatever, it is better to stuff various, sometimes quite funny, jokes. I don’t know if it’s a movie or a movie.
Another favorite technique to hide what the viewer has seen more than a dozen times is the breaking of the fourth wall. And if in Deadpool this technique was presented only in the form of humor, then they went further and decided to change the plot, saying that the authors were tired of banality. Rather, this was stated by a fictional character in the form of a large computer aunt, thereby demonstrating his feminist power to influence the decision of authors. Thank you for the most boring final in Marvel history.
Oh, yes, the finale justifies his poor schedule by saying that the staff is already working hard on another project. Here is a question for all of these ' outstanding ' writers. Since you decided to raise the subject of the terrible Counton of your creation, was it weak to go further and tell about the reasons? Talk about applying studio pressure to visual effects artists. Quality decline doesn’t just happen. Everything has a reason. Joke about it! You can't look at Abomination without pain. Is it not a shame to put such a work into the light? This is what monopolies do.
Good dramaturgy by the standards of this genre, which was available in the first films of this movie universe, irrevocably fucked. The complete depreciation of the whole story continues in full swing.

This is a great and unexpected series from Marvel. Unexpectedly, it focuses more on everyday life than on superheroics. So when choosing to watch it, I advise you to keep that in mind. If you want action, you better watch something else. But if you want to watch a funny light comedy - pleasant viewing.
The main character is an ordinary woman (despite the fact that she can turn into the Hulk), who lives her usual life. Goes to work, meets with friends, tries to arrange a personal life. And is faced with everyday and typically female problems, which are usually not shown. I will not list all of them here, but here are some of them: your relatives are always matching you with everyone, and friends regret that you are not married and without a boyfriend (although in general you have a good life and a successful job). Periodically, you come across jokes like “women lawyers are almost the same lawyers, only with high heels”, which are kind of considered the norm, so they are not accepted to react. When you are called for an interview, a superheroine and a qualified lawyer, you are asked: “What is your diet and training program?”
A separate kind of beauty is the online comments that we are shown in the second series, when the female Hulk opened to the public. It’s like, “Again, a superhero woman!” Are the men out? The same statements you can probably see on the real Internet in the comments to this and other series. In general, the authors of the series do not hesitate to communicate with the viewer and break the fourth wall. Therefore, in some episodes, the heroine turns to us directly knowing full well that she is acting in the series.
I wouldn’t say that the show is so feminist: it’s just ordinary life through the eyes of a woman. In addition, it has a lot of very funny moments with law firm clients. Very strange clients, because our heroine heads the department working with superhumans. And also a little superheroic, because some murky organization wants to steal a couple of blood tubes from a Hulk woman.
To summarize this series, I would say that it is about the daily life of a female superhero. And from the difficulties she faces on the one hand as a woman, and on the other - as a superman.

Another serial project from the studio 'Marvel' extremely intriguing, because he presented to the general public an extremely entertaining character - Hulk Woman. Jennifer Walters is engaged in law practice and simultaneously begins the path of a superhero, yet only studying his accidentally acquired superpowers, getting in the course of the narrative in a very curious position.
It is worth admitting that the plots of both individual episodes and the entire series frankly leave much to be desired. Yes, some series can interest ordinary viewers with a relatively dynamic narrative and please devoted fans of the cinema universe with interesting and already familiar characters (Hulk, Wong, Abomination, Daredevil) and curious ' Easter eggs'. However, for the most part, the narrative canvas of the project is at a sufficiently low level for the eminent franchise. In addition to the weakness of the main storylines, the series cannot boast of a technical component. Surprisingly, the visualization of the main character looks as if she was out of the personal computer game of the beginning of the last decade. For what reason the appearance of the Women-Hulk is so underdeveloped can only be guessed, but the disadvantage of this project this fact can be considered undoubtedly.
In which once comes the understanding that the cinematic universe ' Marvel' is if not in crisis, then in a pre-crisis state. The projects of the fourth phase turned out to be extremely unique in terms of final quality. If the films were either faded and uninteresting (' Black Widow' and ' Eternal') or loud and empty (' Multiverse of Madness', ' Love and Thunder'), then the series at least tried to expand the general lore of the superhero saga in some way, presenting sufficiently independent and unique works (' Vanda/Vision' and 'Loki'''), and the periodic story ('''''). The sought-after series about Lady Hulk and the recent ' Miss Marvel' and at all seem to be the weakest TV projects of the miracle studio, which, of course, is very sad.
Thus, 'Woman-Hulk' is a weakly powerful television series of the cinematic universe ' Marvel' with good ideological potential and a good internal plot structure, but suffering from an extremely low level of embodiment on the screen of the conceived material and extremely weak visual processing of special effects, especially in terms of the image of the main character in the form of a green superman. So we can only hope that in the future, the Hulk Woman will get a more visually attractive look (after all, it is obvious that she will sooner or later become part of the Avengers, whatever it may be) and in the second season (or in the feature film) will receive more significant plots that can fully reveal all the advantages of the new superheroine.
This review and opinion about the series is formed on the basis of the first two series, is only my personal and extremely subjective value judgment and does not claim to be true.
The series literally and completely demonstrates the alleged superiority of a woman over a man without any supported facts and causal relationships. Right in the first series, a woman rushes from scratch to touch the entire male creature, exactly at the same time, while a man swallows at least half of such rudeness.
Moreover, the presentation is not only demonstrative, but also imposing comments for the viewer through the '4th wall'.
This is not perceived as satire or sarcasm, there is a direct demonstration of the coolness of a woman, simply because she is a woman and at the same time it is always mentioned how wild and stupid men are (the heroine depicts a monkey with shouts ' man, man '). There is an episode in which Bruce Banner (a scientist, professor and genius) tries to help the main character adapt to his new power, and she, in turn, literally starts to diminish all his virtues and knowledge of human psychology, simply because she is a woman, which means that she is stronger.
The main character is full of jokes and direct / indirect hints that men are all sexualized and only abusive, and therefore they are disgusting. At the same time, she drools on Captain America’s ass and tells how she put him in bed. Throughout the series, she is interested in the virginity of the same person.
It is clear that the whole sur is devoted to the modern agenda, feminism, the struggle for the rights of the oppressed, etc. But how can you talk about your rights when they are based on the violation of the rights of others? We are being offered a sludge product invented in the perverted minds of uneducated people who have heard of feminism but have not heard of egalitarianism. They are releasing to the masses a product about the struggle for rights at the expense of the rights of others, which is in fact a simple rearrangement of figures on the same board with the same rules. What meaning should the viewer make? Redirecting your hate? That's right, why get rid of it.
In addition to the above, there are questions about the story. The way the main character got superpowers... let me just say, catching a flu virus in an enclosed room with a dozen patients is more difficult than she picked up the abilities of the Hulk.
At the same time, it is very strange to perceive how easily the heroine manages to cope with newly acquired abilities that Bruce Banner (scientist, professor and genius) comprehended long and painfully. But if we remember that ' she is a woman' then everything becomes clear and logical.
For the sake of understanding, I would denounce such ridiculous infringement and mockery of anyone, whether it is a man, a woman, a dog or a cat. The mere fact of the absurdity of a product based on a distorted and distorted original idea is nothing more than a substitution of concepts, double standards and hypocrisy. And this is disgusting, considering how easily this dump goes to the masses.

“I think that the demonization, vilification of men in the media is a worthy and stimulating political act, which consists in the fact that the oppressed class has the right to class hatred of its own people.”
Two minutes later, the series showed itself in all its glory. I won’t get to the point for long and I’ll tell you right away. "She's a woman, so she's better." Only this will be the main engine of the plot, the main idea and at the same time the main mistake of the whole series, because watching it is incredibly boring, and most importantly meaningless, and I will have to learn to control anger after watching the series.
A scene in a bar that kind of shouts "you look at what kind of girls (of all races and nations) are responsive and always ready to help, and the (exclusively white) scumbags who only need one thing." Very hidden subtext with deep meaning. I loved it.
It is worth noting how easy it is for our heroine to do everything. If the Hulk's path to unity with his second me takes many years, then it's a lot easier. She is a woman, she knows how to manage her anger, otherwise she will be killed.
I’m not talking about open insults, when the heroine begins to behave like an animal and shout “men”.
I was just fixated on one thing, like there were no other joints, and there were. A terrorist breaks into a courthouse ready to kill everyone? Well, we've got to go hug her. That's what the armed guard thought and did nothing. How exactly did the heroine become a hulk? It took exactly 0.001 seconds to come up with a start. It looks ridiculous and ridiculous.
The series only fosters hatred for the male race, who and why will need to spend their free time on this is unclear.

First, people complaining about ‘toxic masculinity’ 39 as an excuse for the show’s low ratings are simply idiotic. Wanda/Vision was good, Hawkeye was amazing, I love Kate Bishop, her character was developing fantastically, by the end of the season she was learning from her mistakes, not just instantly getting cool. Other new female characters also became a stunning addition to the MCU, such as Shelby from ' Loki' and Layla from 'Moon Knight' her character was cool and the Scarlet Scarab costume display in the last episode was epic! In fact, I would love to watch a TV series or movie about Alom Scarab and her relationship with the avatar of the Egyptian goddess Taveret. Anyway, back to the Hulk...
The first episode was disappointing, the Hulk is an amazing character and she, the Hulk, has the potential to become just as great, if not the best character in the MCU. Watching Jennifer grow up and learn to balance the life of the Hulk, a lawyer, as well as her personal life could potentially be a great show.
I appreciated the acting, I think the casting is great, but the script for the show and their need to instantly make Jennifer better than Bruce is just depressingly annoying! Bruce has been the Hulk for many years and as a scientist has done a crazy amount of research about the Hulk and how to deal with being the Hulk, but Jennifer immediately became the best Hulk because she's a woman...that's where he failed!
I appreciated the scene in which Jennifer explained how she knows how to control her anger over social issues such as 'Cat Call' 39. But Bruce learned yoga and other techniques to control his emotions, as the gamma radiation that makes him the Hulk makes them more emotional, so I would appreciate it if Jennifer showed Bruce more respect.
I will continue to watch episodes and may change my rating depending on future episodes. I hope things get better!
