People and their actions I wonder why I am looking at the Noonimov novelties? It's simple. Bribes such a segment, when one person wrote, shot himself and played in his movie. This is the same case as Lasho and Budali. A certain Gabe Kasdorf debuts with his directorial work and immediately bribes both the style of the narrative and the governing idea of good and evil.
In the genre, as usual, drama, where the cornerstone is dialogue-fights. Yeah, it's a literary movie. Moderately funny, moderately sad. Sometimes catching up with a thriller suspense. The basis, as I wrote above, is the principle of ‘yin yang’: there is both a dark and a bright side in each of us, and according to the canons of many religions, these scales determine where we go from purgatory – up or down. Can a single act of kindness overshadow an empty, lived, marginal life? It also raises the question of friendship: who really is a friend? The one with you to the end, no matter what, willing to sacrifice himself for you? Or someone who's just been around you for years, like a free app? I didn’t really like the way the movie was written: I would like a more rhythmic script and less vulgar jokes “below the belt”. Otherwise, in principle, quite fascinating and not stupid, albeit with an inappropriate open ending.
Acting jobs are normal, even though I don't know anyone. Played well, the chemistry between the characters is felt. Operator work and installation default. Stylish titles throughout the story. Normal sound design.
He Died and Me Too is a film about people, their friendships and their actions. Replete with good meaning and a bright ending, the film still feels like something unfinished. It's like half an hour's worth of time that's gone somewhere in post-production. Anyway, debutant Kasdorf was able to entertain me for an hour and a half. The first pancake came out with a pancake.
