Rarely will you see Yuri Stoyanov in a big series in the lead role, also in a criminal, and also on NTV. Quite unobvious, but, it turns out, the ideal choice of actor for such a role.
The series consists of ten two-part stories, for each case - two series. However, in addition to these cases, there is one story that begins in the first two episodes and becomes the arch of the season.
The series ' Marlene' I recall the series 'Sleuths' the first half of zero with Shcherbakov. Most likely, the general atmosphere; the manner of narration, when it seems that the characters work not in a large state structure, but in some private office, judging by the liberties that they are allowed; and a couple of detectives with a large age difference, where the older is a recognized genius, and the younger is a simple man. However, ' Detectives' were more aesthetic, there was enough intellectual affairs, unusual criminals, subtle humor, sometimes glamorous, even creepy was. Whereas 'Marlene' is a simpler, criminal, NTV series, although the spirit ' There are both humor and unusual crimes.
But in the hero of Yuri Stoyanov, the manners of Lieutenant Colombo are clearly visible - to irritate people with a slight eccentricity, and sometimes the features of his famous hero, Modest - especially when Marlene often and excessively loudly sneezes throughout the series. The fact is that Marlene has an interesting feature - an allergy to the truth, when the interlocutor reports it, the investigator sneezes. Also, the series is similar to ' Colombo' the nobleness of deeds, when criminals and the environment in which crimes were committed are people with status, wealth, etc.
The rest of the characters also did not disappoint, all in their places and play well:
Pasha is an investigator, Marlene's assistant. Suspects run away from him all the time, and he has to catch up with them, not always successfully. Such a simple man to emphasize the genius of his mentor;
Gandhi is a medical examiner, a friend of Marlene, also a colorful character.
Asya is a brilliant fraudster who establishes friendly relations with Marlene and Ko, which, however, does not prevent him from hunting her, and she - elude him all season.
Lyubushka is Marlene’s colleague in amateur theater, who has feelings for him and constantly helps him in investigations, like a freelance employee, an extremely naive lady;
Avas is a Central Asian about the same age as Marlene, the worker, as I understand it, is also constantly being introduced everywhere at the request of the detective.
Another interesting thing I would note is that the series ended logically, completing all the storylines (albeit with fabulous assumptions), not like ordinary detective series, where everything happens in timelessness, when it is unclear whether a day or a year passed between the last series of the past and the first series of new seasons.
I think that if without Stoyanov, I would not be interested in the series, so if you too were hooked by the thought of how such an actor would look in NTV criminality, then I advise you to take a look.
