Darkness, dirt and nothing human. Start with the smallest of the weaknesses of the cartoon. Namely graphics and animation. They are in the new legend only slightly better than such domestic 'masterpieces' as Bogatyrsha and similar recent creations.
We will continue with more significant disadvantages. First, the cartoon turned out to be even more childish, cartoonish and naive than the worst sequels of the Disney cartoon.
Secondly, despite the Chinese roots of the cartoon, it collected all the elements for which the Chinese viewer at one time so scolded the Disney version. Moreover, he was able to multiply them, bringing them in places to a complete absurdity.
Thirdly, the cartoon, being based on an ancient legend, completely disregards the history, worldview, customs and culture of that era.
Add to this scenes that would be more suitable 'cheap Shipper fan fiction' and we get the worst adaptation of the legend of Fa Mulan, which only at the moment has seen the world, which is especially disappointing given the presence of a number of high-quality Chinese films based on this legend.
As a result, the cartoon is excessively, even for animation, detached from reality mess, which can be recommended for viewing only if you want to spoil relations with a person. Pity for such 'masterpieces' no negative rating scale.
