Something new and interesting! XVIII century. France. Times of beautiful ladies and gallant gentlemen, powdered wigs and endless social receptions at representatives of high society. But not everything is so smooth and carefree in the French kingdom. Revolution is about to break out, “freedom, equality, fraternity”, zombie aristocrats with blue blood devouring the flesh of commoners ... yes, this will be discussed in the series “French Revolution”.
The inclusion of filmmakers in historical events and (or) biographies of outstanding personalities of plots of a supernatural nature, it is not a new matter, remember “10,000 years BC”, “Kingdom”, “Hellboy”, “President Lincoln: Vampire Hunter”, etc., examples are a huge number. In some film projects, the “symbiosis” of historical and fantasy looks harmonious, in others, the efforts are not justified. In my opinion, the creators of the series “French Revolution” coped with the task, did something new in the genre of fantasy on historical themes and with a French twist.
In this review, I will not give an assessment of every aspect of the series. I was satisfied with everything: the plot, acting, camera work, costumes, musical accompaniment, etc. The only thing I would like to note is the decline in narrative dynamics towards the end of the series, but this is not a critical moment and it did not spoil the overall viewing experience.
I advise you to watch the series “French Revolution”, I do not understand why it has such a low rating, and a lot of negative reviews about it on the Internet.
