Against trouble, against war Children from different countries, different peoples, different races come to the Soviet pioneer camp. Children of the capitalist world show disrespect for children with non-white skin, but all are united by a terrible tragedy: the illness and death of a Japanese girl from radiation sickness received as a result of a nuclear bomb.
The theme of the attack on Japanese cities, as a result of which innocent people suffered, still haunts us. How Soviet filmmakers will pass by this, especially since the government is an ardent opponent of America! Of course, the level of directing and acting is very high, but the script is a failure. It is a shame for Soviet cinema to descend to such a stupid script, stuffed from the first to the last frame with absurdities spiced with propaganda, so that the film does not cause tears, but disgust. But I can’t help but note that an excerpt from a stunning mass from St. Peter’s Cathedral and an incredibly beautiful melody that the violinist plays at the end are used.
