Even Jurassic doesn't save you. What an embarrassment!
Such boredom had to be made of Lindgren’s dynamic, gloomy, but touching story. Sprawled on two more than an hour series ... and it would be more than compensate.
Totally failed Oscar casting. Fad, dull, thin and not the first youth. In the original there was a young man of bull build, douche and good-natured ... and here is some under-philosopher-non-subbard. With a guitar instead of a harmonic, although this, however, is an arbitrary detail.
Terribly stupid reading of all characters. Black and white and to the side of "beating." Frecken Heck wasn't a nasty fool to build everyone. She tried as hard as she could, but just physically was not able to become a mother to all the pupils, just Rasmus did not understand this as a child. The policemen were not duboloms, they did their job quite honestly and not without success. Even Leaf and Lyander, though scoundrels, were serious scoundrels, not clowns. Here relatively seriously acts only Jurassic in the role of Leaf, and even then against the background of an idiot-partner.
Terrible costumes and scenery. The TV movie, I understand, but still annoying. Particularly annoying is the emphasis on contempt for the “decaying West.” Why is that in the story of finding a father? History is timeless, beautiful, it should not be made an excuse for political cartoons. And no songs, uh, Rybnikova would be here, with Gladkov.
There were stunningly tense scenes with the robbery of Mrs. Hedberg and the pursuit of Rasmus. Here it was made of unhurried, in the spirit of children's mornings, stupid episodes with disgustingly staged fights. How about replacing an emerald necklace with a painting? What would be the footage of Rasmus in a necklace running through an abandoned village!
Rasmus is still back and forth, does not directly cause irritation, Yursky, again, is trying to do something with the cardboard image of his hero, but in general this is a deservedly forgotten film.
