A rather unusual moral drama from L. Kvinikhidze about love and sincerity, courage and cowardice, about human dignity and life in general. The film also traces the socio-critical undertones of Soviet life in perestroika, the imprint of which are borne by the main characters.
The film is shot in a chamber atmosphere (only 4 characters), where S. Shakurov sparks with his charisma, and also shines with his beauty D. Mikhailov.
For the first time I watched somewhere in the mid-90s in school time, and even then almost did not understand anything, but the film hooked with its simultaneously beautiful and tragic atmosphere, and deeply sank into the soul. After reviewing it after more than 20 years, everything seemed to become clear and even somehow simple, the former plaque of mystery reverberated;
But instead came an understanding of the depth of the ideas and problems that the authors put into it - that human relationships will always be dominated not by physical, but by moral qualities, which should be developed first.
I recommend all lovers of chamber dramas on the topic of love and morality.
