Mommy's son. Ed is a quiet and inconspicuous man who has never had romantic attachments other than a mad love for his mother. He is infantile, and therefore the death of his beloved mother becomes a big blow for him. One day he receives an unusual offer to resurrect his mother for a large sum, but Ed does not even imagine what consequences this very hasty decision will have.
Ed and His Late Mother was filmed in 1993 by American director and producer Jonathan Wex. The picture, belonging to the genre of comedy zombie horror, simultaneously in a satirical form rethinks the biography of maniac Ed Hein, which makes the film seem original and non-trivial in its genre.
Steve Buscemi perfectly played Ed, creating a really interesting and charismatic image of a typical quiet person with a depressed psyche and capable, in principle, of anything (in a quiet pool, as you know, devils are found). Memorable characters in the film were also played by Ned Beatty, John Glover and Harper Roizman.
The work of the cameraman Francis Kenny in the film does not stand out and the film is shot very traditionally for its genre, but the thrash film does not slide due to balanced directing and bright acting.
I recommend this unusual film to all fans of zombie horrors and just good comedy horror films, the representative of which is this picture, which failed, by the way, with a bang at the home box office.
