Once again, I am convinced that the film based on the book of the same name is a complete disappointment. I am studying at the university in tourism. The teacher in hotel business advised to read the book ' Hotel' with the words: ' Read, accent in the right places, because they will not be written in textbooks'.
I just swallowed the book. When you read into the detailed description of what lies outside the sight of the ordinary client, you begin to understand how any little thing in a huge mechanism functions. Arthur Haley & #39; presented on a platter & #39; everyday situations when the client is unhappy with something, and how in such cases one should seek a compromise. Carefully reading the book, you can learn a lot of useful and enjoy spending time. What can't be said about the movie. .
At first, I was glad that I could see all the pictures and episodes that I had so vividly imagined. But after watching the first 10 minutes of the film, a storm of indignation and indignation grew in me.
First, cut the storylines, and with them half of the romance with the characters. Why did they take out Cristina Francis? If you didn’t want to show the spicy scene with the number 1126-1127, and with it the whole story of the Love Triangle 39, then why would you remove the cute old Mr. Wells? Because of these changes, the whole plot went to the tail.
Secondly, they changed scenes and came up with new solutions. I am not against the director’s small improvisation, but when they settled the conflict with the dentist, a delegate to the medical congress, moreover, they interpreted it in their own way at the end of the film, I was overcome by the very peak of indignation. After this scene, everything else just passed by.
Because of these changes, all the excitement that I had after reading the book is lost. You take the film as another story, from afar resembling a detective. There is no thrill when you look beyond the superficial and all-available.
I won’t say anything bad about acting. Almost all the present heroes and represented, only Warren Trent younger and companion Curtis O' Keefa a little easier, if I may say so. Considering the time of shooting, it played well.
The desire to watch (or rather to look through) the film to the end held only that it was interesting to whom the director planned to sell the hotel. But the ending made me sad. Only the last scene softened the pill, where not many people were affected, unlike the book. But there is no enthusiasm for watching the film. I wasted 2 hours.
Moral: Read books.
