Getting back to life I usually watch very little Russian-made movies and TV series, but I’ve been paying attention to some Russian films lately, and surprisingly, I’ve enjoyed the movies. One such film is 'Resolved: Brother'.
I also learned that this part of the film is the fourth film from this famous crime franchise produced by Buryat cinema. Considering that I only recently found out about these films and have not watched any of the parts, I will judge only by this film 'Resolved: Brother'
Of course, it’s hard to judge the entire franchise just by the last part, but still. According to the plot of the film, Kasha (the role was played by Alexander Frolov) escapes from the rehabilitation clinic, where he was undergoing treatment for drug addiction, and decides to start life from scratch, returning to his native city, but the problems do not recede, the older brother (the role was played by Konstantin Ozerov) serves time in prison, and accidentally meeting his long-time girlfriend Asya (the role was played by Anastasia Akatov), who is being dragged by drug addiction and a ruinous life, he decides to help her.
In order for the older brother to safely get out of prison, Kasha will have to return to crime and go on an expedition for a precious stone, the sale of which can solve all problems.
The film is very lifelike and true, because so many young people and girls have faced similar problems all over Russia, especially problems related to addiction. The film indicates what not to do, in a very direct and rough form showing what is happening on the screen.
Kasha is a person with a strong character, convictions and inner core, who fights injustice and his own vices. He has already broken a lot of wood, but after a revaluation of values, he got on the right path.
'Resolved: Brother' is a film that will be understood by both those who have long followed the characters in the franchise, and in particular Kasha, and those who learn about such a character for the first time (such as me).
