When do cicadas cry for the poor? Residential Complex C, thanks to the teaser, seemed one of the most interesting titles of the season. Here you and cute girls, and a certain secret that entangles a small complex, and brutal murders, and even infernal creatures. It seemed that before us quite suitable horror, to some extent inspired by Lovecraft, on the other hand, to feel the influence of the acclaimed Cicadas. Unfortunately, this series turned out to be empty.
In a small multi-storey building, life literally froze. Here the old people live out their lives in peace, grassing bikes on the lawn, simultaneously enlightening young children who are eager to learn all the secrets of this place. According to legends, there were even sacrifices and worship of ancient gods, but the same was long ago, so certainly will not affect our heroes. Right?
The first episodes, frankly, were successful. At this time there is intrigue, and some of the characters cause sympathy. You expect that now the characters will gradually begin to learn terrible secrets and slowly go crazy. However, no slow and terrible pressure does not work - a real massacre begins, and very sharply and unexpectedly. Just a few scenes on the screen there is no one (almost), and the viewer as a result in amazement asks a simple question: what was it?
It is likely that the main disadvantage of anime was the short duration. Where Cicadas had 24 episodes (we’re not talking about the second season and numerous spin-offs), the Complex only has four episodes. During this time, it is very difficult to manage not to forget about suspense, reveal the characters and even provide all this with a sensible script. And yet, this cannot be considered a full-fledged excuse either.
Residential complex C is a very mediocre horror anime, which can still be seen by fans of the genre. Such titles, albeit of very average quality, come out infrequently, and therefore it is not so pathetic to spend an hour and a half of your time on this.
