On the one hand frivolous, but I like them, on the other - a beautiful costume film based on the Decameron" by Giovanni Boccaccio with luxurious costumes Roberto Cavalli, a beautiful cameraman Ben Davis (Stardust, Tamara Drewe, The best exotic Marigold hotel, the King's men ...), the last project of the great Dino De Laurentis
In some places vulgar, on that and "Decameron", sometimes very romantic and cute, "Anakin Skywalker" is very suitable for the role of "beautiful princes", there he even does not need to say much, just go back and forth, Misha Barton also looks very good, it suits the role of "Juliet", sort of, but this is not the main thing. The main thing there, for what I watched it - it is always a wonderful Welshman Matthew Reese in white furs, he is a miracle there? Russian? Count Dmitry Dzerzhinsky - not anyone, namely Dzerzhinsky, thank you for not Felix Edmundovich, from Novgorod.
True, the Pope there (according to the text) Alexander Abramovich, which is already suspicious. Riz, being a great specialist in accents, as well as Ben Barnes, perfectly and says several sentences in Russian and very accurately intones, only the word "principality" is not given to him.
He very funny jumps from Russian phrases to English with a Russian accent, and then jumps off him. Count, he's allowed anything. Not only that, but he's also very good in the saddle. It looks great, it plays great, it's partly grotesque, but it suits him very well. Welshman, talent, what to take from him, they are like this.
The second, from whom there can not take your eyes off, and, as usual, in the image of another scumbag (but what an epic scene of his death there!) is Tim Roth, who periodically beautifully fencing, in what he is a master, well, in some places there is a clean Rosencrantz and Guildenstern ...", where to go?
Well, absolutely charming in a couple of scenes Rupert Friend with painted eyes, a bare torso and a Spanish accent, just a medieval rock star.
Fun, very cute even in its vulgarity film, with a constellation of the most-most. There is no one else to shoot such pictures - time has gone, intelligence and people are not the same.
A moderately gorgeous comedy based on the famous medieval Decameron. Perhaps the main thing that helped the promotion of “Virgin Territory” is “Hayden Christensen”, who clearly lacked Padmé in “Star Wars”, so he agreed to participate in this film. More than half of its content is devoted to how knights, peasants and one Russian count chase seductive girls who are very eager to lose their virginity. Characters rush to the monastery, barn and everywhere find interested women who do not know what feminism will become in the XXI century.
The convent of the “Territory of Virgins” is a real paradise for any man of traditional orientation. Sisters are beautiful like angels, and a reclusive lifestyle does not prevent them from watching their appearance. Just in case some handsome gardener or artist deigns to visit them. To enhance the comic, David Leland adds hyperbole at some key moments, and now the conversation about the wedding and especially the scene with the cow looks very defiant. It is unlikely that such bold scenes were imagined by writers in the fourteenth century, but the film still does not exceed the bounds of what is permissible and bypasses the black and toilet humor that would inevitably appear if the "Territory of Virgins" was filmed in the United States. In fact, the director does not hide the fact that his film is the creation of the third millennium, since in some scenes modern music sounds, giving events a noticeable but tolerable degree of thrash. In one of the key scenes with the artist, who challenges the villain from above, even visible undisguised spotlight, which apparently forgot to remove during the processing of the image.
There’s no denying that Virgin Territory is a stupid movie, but even stupidity can be presented successfully. Jerbino de la Rasa (they still know Latin, right?) is presented as a real laughing stock, regardless of whether he pursues a sworn enemy or becomes engaged to a desired bride. The cast of the film, I must say, is not so simple: Christensen’s company consists of Misha Barton, Tim Roth and even Matthew Reese, who got the role of the same Count Dzerzhinsky from Russia. It is surprising and pleasant that the film avoids national stereotypes. No nesting dolls, balalaikas and bears we will not see, and in fact the only external hints of the Russian origin of the character is his white coat, sewn from white stoats, perhaps. Swords and sabers are opposed by warriors with firearms, but oddly enough, the main focus of the film is on female characters. In fact, Pompinea is the main character, who achieves a beloved groom sometimes by cunning, and sometimes by seduction. While retaining the main medieval motifs, the film ends predictably positively. For a complete resemblance to the fairy tale, only the phrase “and lived happily ever after” is missing.
Romantic, but sloppy. Fairy tale, but not childish. Funny, but not devoid of successful drama. This is the “Territory of virgins”, far from the concept of a masterpiece, but from the ribbons of its category is quite good.

Love, like no other natural manifestation, hates to be taught and recited (J. Boccaccio, Decameron).
The wealthy parents of the young Florentine beauty Pampineia Anastadzhi promised her hand to the Russian Prince Dzerzhinsky, but died of the plague, and did not arrange a wedding. While the prince jumps from far Novgorod, the charismatic villain Jerbino della Ratta induces Pampinea to marry under the pretext of forgiveness of his father's debts. On the way to the family villa, where the wedding is to take place, she takes refuge in the monastery, where the will of fate is a young man with an angelic face named Lorenzo - the dream of all nuns. So begins this story, full of incredible coincidences, insidious intrigues, sudden plot twists and frivolous scenes: a kind of “Florence Pie” with a slightly more bland filling than in the original.
This, of course, a matter of taste, but still the best adaptation of the Decameron turned out in Pasolini: rough dialogue, dirt and stink, non-professional actors and a living spirit of the Middle Ages. Leland, by contrast, has one solid glamour: clean pavement, beautiful villas, as well as smooth white teeth, well-groomed hair (and their absence in strategically important places) and suits from Cavalli - Cavalli, Carl! By the way, it is worth watching this film for them only if you breathe unevenly to high fashion. Otherwise, we can talk only about the atmosphere, remotely reminiscent of the work of Boccaccio, but not about the film adaptation, claiming historical authenticity. A beautiful, sunny fairy tale with elements of eroticism, dramaturgy for three plus and nothing like Tim Roth, who is at least interesting to watch. Hayden Christensen and Misha Barton in the lead roles give out exactly the same bar as always, and the comic characters significantly outplay. On the other hand, it is because of comics that you do not want to put a picture too low, because it copes with the task of having fun.
For the male audience, it is worth making a sacred note "the topic of boobs is not disclosed" - that is, a little, of course, disclosed, but not so as to meet expectations. Blood and action are also not worth waiting: even plague corpses sadly lie on the sidelines in the first frames, after which they completely cease to poison the atmosphere with their presence. But romantic ladies may like the plot, and unpretentious humor, and beautiful dresses, and an indispensable happy ending. You can watch a movie for a change, where all the nuns led by the abbess are young and pretty, the main character is a real angel, and the villain is quite nothing if you look closely. For some reason, this glamorous "Decameron" does not cause fierce rejection, on the contrary, it can be revised a couple of times under the mood.
Pretty cute picture of a youth comedy in the spirit of incorruptible "Decameron". Beautiful views, nature, insanely beautiful actors and an uncomplicated plot with a couple of branches from the first person of the newly made monk-narrator.
Pleasant humor and hints of eroticism in this case play into hand and make this movie candy even more glossy and alluring. What are only fleeting phrases of heroes who can calmly go into the modern world of youth, thereby at least slightly diversifying the primitive speech of teenagers?
Separately, I want to highlight the actor’s duet Christensen-Barton. If these two were together, I think their children would be perfect for their beauty. And if on the case - young guys who know how to play well and please the eye - in a word - well done.

Virginity is a special condition of the human body, more often and more carefully applied exclusively to women. The presence of virginity in a woman is characterized by obvious anatomical signs, according to which it is possible to diagnose the experimental estate or lack of the hymen - folds of the mucous membrane with a hole covering the entrance to the vagina between the internal and external genital organs. Accordingly, at the first sexual contact with penetration into the interior, the integrity of this formation is violated and the woman is filled with vice, losing her purity of body and soul. With this event associated and associated now important religious, occult, mystical and other events and events that, you will agree, in purely physiological terms looks ridiculous and stupid to identify the dependence of a number of undertakings on the presence of some mucous piece of flesh in the genital opening between the legs. However, in many cultures, the preservation of virginity was considered mandatory and necessary before actual marriage, defining it as a woman's dignity. Fortunately, in today’s world, attitudes toward virginity have become dismissive and its late existence has come to be seen as something negative. More and more girls and guys feel even a certain stiffness in its presence, trying to get rid of this burden as soon as possible, to join, so to speak, in adulthood.
This semi-romantic comedy with adventures, beautiful views and clothes, as well as women themselves, varies from the desire to preserve their dignity without fail until marriage to almost nunsploitation, when chaste nuns in the monastery at the sight of an attractive young man themselves and with burning eyes indulge in sexual pleasures with him. The motive of virginity and the turning of the passions of life on this topic are obvious here and are brought to the fore. The most beautiful girl of Tuscany keeps her chastity until the appearance in her life of the only and unique and the implementation of direct marriage formalities led by a priest; a red-haired friend of her opinion, but at the first kisses in the forest barely keeps herself; another thought-form is men, which is quite usual, and nuns, oddly enough, with great enthusiasm and desire waiting for the entry into their vagina of a hard and hot penis. What is clear is that everyone wants to have sex, a lot and persistently, which is quite natural, but sweat for one reason or another limits themselves in this. The topic of sex and virginity, I think, should have attracted a lot of views to the picture.
For a girl of noble blood named Pompinea, which is beautiful and young, in Tuscany are hunted by several personalities: a certain Russian Count Dzerzhinsky from Novgorod, to whom the father of this Pompinea promised to marry the daughter, the local count Jerbino performed by Tim Roth and the well-known thief Lorenzo in the person of Hayden Christensen. Hiding from his pursuers, Lorenzo falls into a convent, where everyone believes that he is deaf-mute, and using this, Lorenzo spoils and pleases the female lust, long gestated under religious turmoil. In the same monastery, trying to escape from the same Jerbino, and later to go to his country mansion, gets the beauty of Pompinea, who falls in love with the well and only kisses him. And in the mansion at this time sent the retinue, friends and girlfriends of Pompinea and Lorenzo, between which also sexual feelings can not hide. Count Dzerzhinsky also intends to find female beauty and marry a Tuscan diamond, but the first naked girl disturbed his mind and the count began to think exclusively with an erection of his penis.
What has already been noted about the picture is the beautiful urban, church and rural views, among which the mentioned country house looks also impressive. Clothes to heroes/characters were created by Roberto Cavalli himself, and the unfolding story is a motif of Decameron Bocaccio. Naturally, for such beautiful clothes, attractive heroes are also needed, among which Misha Barton, who played the role of Pompinea, much and entirely decorated these outfits with her appearance. Tim Roth, always standing in this black with a huge gold cross on his chest, in his unshaven manner created the image of a slippery villain, but I liked the depraved nuns, under the amorphous tissues on which lies the outline of the waiting orgasm of a woman. Yes, there among them it would be possible to live and not to bother, as long as you do not make unnecessary sounds - the nuns will wash you, feed you, and caress you.
In comedic terms, the film came out almost nothing. There was no humor here, no good intentions, no vulgar jokes. It is rather a light adventure near-romantics of the modern kind on the theme of the search for love with many conventions, like Indiana Jones, only about love, unobtrusive, easy, but quickly passing and immediately forgotten. This film is like gum with a pleasant not sharp, soft taste - the same unnecessary, the same mediocre, which did not turn out a full-fledged comedy, did not turn out adventures, but it turned out a near-romantic story with a certain proportion of exposure, which allowed some even to rank the film as erotic, which is naturally not worth doing. “Territory of virgins” did not reveal any of its areas of plot and accent, becoming a semi-finished movie. What really attracts attention and certainly delights is beautiful costumes and clothes.
