Hedgehogs and ants Perhaps the only cartoon in the trilogy about a curly hedgehog who does not leave behind negative impressions. Perhaps for the reason that there is good humor, and the main characters are already ants, one of which is voiced by Boris Novikov. It is a pity, but at the same time not for the better changed the voice of the hedgehog father. Although, in any case, the cartoon still has problems with animation.
What's the problem? Just one word: dolls. Ant hedgehog was released in post-Soviet Russia, but the trends of Soviet animation persisted for several years. The main one was the variety of styles that were constantly abused. It is extremely difficult to perceive dolls as living characters, since animators often fail to hide seams and hinges, not to mention that we must not forget about facial facial expressions. By the 1990s, Soviet directors had reached a certain level, but classical animation still far outpaced puppets. Take a look at the forest in the Ant Hedgehog. Sticked sticks made of cardboard and papier-mache are trying to pass off as real trees.
It is quite interesting to watch ants, among which there are laborers and loafers. Insects in the frame quite a lot, and for this cartoon could be praised, if not too weak saturation of colors. The picture is gloomy, like before a thunderstorm. Although there is a thunderstorm, I would like to see the sun after it. Especially since watching dolls for a long time is already difficult. Surprisingly, this time the white crow is not annoying, but laughing. I always would, from the very beginning.
I risk calling Ant Hedgehog the best in the trilogy, which, however, does not mean that this cartoon is good in itself.
