Applause from the grave... Did anyone hear the applause echoing throughout the film? It is a pity – it was applauded from their graves by those who brought the civilized world to the brink of catastrophe, plunging it into the most terrible and bloody war in the history of mankind. At the end of the Second World War, under the cannonade of Soviet guns, these criminals, who imagined themselves to be some “supermen”, in fear of the coming retribution, committed suicide, the most quirky and cowardly, like rats, hastily fled from the sinking ship under the pretentious name “Third Reich”, but, in principle, the result was one of these inhumans failed to turn the wheel of history back and fascism and German Nazism was destroyed. And it will be historically correct to assert that the leading role in the destruction of Hitler’s Germany and Nazi ideology was played by the USSR, the only state that managed to withstand aggression, gather its forces and liberate not only its country, but also a significant part of Europe from Nazi evil and ultimately destroy the very hotbed of evil where it originated. And it is this fact that does not give rest to those who (in principle, without objecting to the destruction of fascism) are trying with all their might to belittle this Great Deed. Battered Hitler's generals referred to some of Hitler's incompetence (like Guderian or Manstein), who to the Russian expanses and General Moroz (as "commanders" of a lower rank), but being to some extent "men of officer honor" they did not humiliate themselves to outright lies. With the collapse of the USSR, the field of activity opened for outright liars-people “without mind, without conscience, without honor.” And if in the USSR this murky stream of lies was successfully countered by Soviet propaganda, now, under the pretext of “democracy and freedom of opinion”, this vile lie is splashing out in a cloudy stream on the shelves of bookstores and TV screens.
A vivid confirmation of this was the film by I. Kobrin “Forbidden Truth”. In principle, Kobrin did not say anything new - all these insinuations were voiced long ago by the notorious V. Rezun, M. Solonin, Y. Pivovarov and others. The film is a cutting of documentary footage, accompanied by often historically illiterate voiceover text that has nothing to do with the video series. And I. Kobrin often does not shy away from outright lies, counting on the incompetence of the viewer. What is worth, for example, one repeated (throughout the film) mention of a certain “Thunderstorm Plan”, whose goal was “the enslavement of Europe by Stalin’s hordes”. At the same time, even Kobrin himself admits that this “terrible plan” is a couple of pages of handwritten text, “modestly” silent about the fact that this “plan” is not even signed by NICEM. In fact, this “plan” appeared on the initiative of G. K. Zhukov after the speech of I. V. Stalin on May 5, 1941, before graduates of military academies, in which he spoke about the possibility of acting offensively. These two pages were written by A. M. Vasilevsky and being reported to Stalin caused his anger and accusations of provoking the Germans. However, this does not prevent Mr. Kobrin’s inflamed imagination from declaring these pathetic two pages of handwritten text “...a plan for the conquest of Europe.” It also evokes Homeric laughter and Mr. Kobrin’s statement about a certain “... secret meeting of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the C.P.S.U.(B.) and the leadership of the Comintern on August 19, 1939, at which Stalin delivered a speech in which he announced a plan for the conquest of Europe” – the text of this speech was received by the Geneva correspondent of “Havas” Henri Ruffen from “...a credible source” (hello to Mr. Bond, the glorious Stirlitz and other “legends of espionage”). True, then Ruffen TWO times added the text of the “speech”, but these are “small seeds” in comparison with other “facts”. Firstly, the transcript of the speech is somehow presented in the French language, and secondly, at the meeting of the Politburo held on August 19, 1939 (the document was found by D. Volkogonov), only the issue of a temporary refusal to mobilize railway workers in a number of regions of the Far East was resolved. However, the agency "Havas" stipulates that "... the issue was not included in the agenda for reasons of secrecy." Nonsense? Absolutely!!! First, why did Stalin suddenly speak a French language he did not know? But supporters of the authenticity of this “speech” (for example, T. S. Bushuyev) very easily explain this absurdity, they say, the speech was transcribed by a certain “French Communist” who attended the meeting and then gave it to Ruffen ... but then it arises: secondly, Who will allow the “French Communist” to transcribe Stalin’s SECRET speech at the SECRET meeting and thirdly, with what kind of fright will the “unknown French Communist” transmit the “secret speech” to Henri Ruffen? After all, it is clear that a little suspicious person would not be invited to a truly secret meeting. There are even bigger problems!!
Such “inconsistencies” in Mr. Kobrin’s film, as they say, “a car and a small cart” and to explain them all there is not enough space here ... and the desire for a special no-any little-knowing history viewer will only laugh at the “calculations”. Kobrina.
But the fact is that such “knowing” is becoming (with regret we must admit) less and less. And in this regard, Mr. Kobrin’s idea reached the goal of the not too educated part of our society there were certain doubts: “What if the authors of the film are not lying and everything was in fact?” That is why one hears applause from the musty-smelling graves of the former rulers of fascist Germany!
