Another look As a child, I loved a fairy tale and this anime series then made a great impression on me, because apart from the cartoon from Disney, I did not see anything else, and here on those, not only that everything looks even better, so it is also serial and the story tells a little different. I remember well that catching this cartoon on the CTC was a real event. He was always trying to get away from me. After quite a lot of time I was able to watch it (last week) in its entirety (surprisingly English version, because the one shown on Jetix and CTC in the afternoon with fire can not find, there are only the first 7 episodes of 52) you can say the dream of me 9-year-old.
I can say with confidence that this view of the famous fairy tale turned out to be very Japanese. To begin with, this version of Pinocchio’s adventures is quite dark and contains much more cruelty than the same cartoon from Disney. Sometimes this cruelty is meaningless and only because it is made in Japan. Of course, nothing critical was done for children, but sometimes the degree of idiocy could be reduced. Also, Kashi no ki Mokku is famous for a very much changed history. For example, here Pinocchio, although he was in the country of entertainment, but this did not lead him to turn into a donkey, and led to the fact that his godmother in the style of anime about witches (well almost) fought with a witch pretending to be a girl and lured Pinocchio. It turned out that it was all a dream. Or how do you feel about Pinocchio taking root as a punishment for wrongdoing? The series is full of characters and events, 69% of which are unlikely to be seen. Whether it’s good or bad, it’s up to you to watch. I watched, and as for me out of decency goes only one episode (I won’t say which, but it just tears the pattern), the rest in principle normal, the Japanese flight of fantasy, what to do.
The result is a cartoon dear to me primarily because of memories of childhood. He is very attached to that special period of my life. Probably strange to recommend, but you can try, especially if you like all sorts of cute old things.
