Maniac Gallery: Gestapo Bloody Nights Tinto Brass’s Kitty Salon was more than a simple erotic variation on the theme of the Third Reich. This film, along with Bertolucci’s “Conformist”, Visconti’s “Death of the Gods” and “Ilsa the Wolves of the SS”, touched upon a very sensitive layer of issues for many. These questions can be called “The Sexual Myths of the Third Reich.”
Of course, one way or another, these questions were related to the relationship between eroticism and the madness of power. It was almost a "maniac" topic.
Moreover, this topic caused both a lot of critical reviews and a certain interest. So, almost immediately came a few action films.
The Bloody Nights of the Gestapo is one of them. This is a simple, straightforward film, trying to reveal the theme of a “private brothel in the SS”. The focus here is on showing some perversions.
That’s probably all there is to say about the film’s plot, aside from mentioning an unexpectedly violent ending.
The straightforwardness and tastelessness from which the film was shot does not leave the opportunity to take this picture seriously. Her hitting some of the tops of the best horror or “maniac” films, I think random and completely groundless.
In the end: I would not recommend this movie to watch. “Kitty Salon”, as well as “The SS Wolf Ilsa” from different sides, but very clearly reveal the issues identified in the title of the film. Although, of course, the clearest film here is "The Death of the Gods" by Visconti.
