When they say that our cinema can not give something good, I remember our dramas, they will never fade, especially on such lively and always relevant topics.
The director of this film raises the problem of returning a soldier maimed by the war to a peaceful channel. Issues of its socialization are raised in this world, where everything is much more complicated, and it is impossible to solve the problem with one click on the trigger.
The plot of the film is tied to the search of three colleagues of their missing comrade, but this is only a skeleton, all the meat of the film consists of side storylines revolving around the main character, his past and present. I really liked how the director immerses us in the world of the central character through flashbacks, memories of his childhood, while gradually introducing the viewer to the central tragedy - a scar from the war, not letting them get scared.
All the actors are in their place, and I had the impression that this film reveals the diversity of their talent. There are small moments with the fact that they overplay, but they all fit the place and do not spoil the overall impression.
From the very first moment, the film makes me thirst, thirst for what will come next, and does not let go until the very last moment.
After the film, there are very good and pleasant impressions that will warm me for a long time.
We are able to shoot dramas on sad events, with the most optimistic ending.

"Thirst" is one of the best Russian films about those who returned from the war. On overcoming post-war alienation, reconciliation with loved ones and finding one’s place in the surrounding world.
War not only breaks a person physically, it burns him from the inside and forces him to rethink the values of life. Why do people enjoy life in peace? From a beautiful friend, from a fancy car, from big money, from power. What do you get excited about in war? From a couple of cans of condensed milk for the holiday, from an evening conversation with your comrades who covered you on the battlefield, from the unusual evening silence and the raspberry sun, which slowly descends over the horizon.
War rejects everything superfluous, pretense and hypocrisy, exposes human weaknesses, but at the same time forces to show the best qualities. That is why friendship, born of war, binds many for years to come. The main characters of the film - Kostya, Pasha and Genka - are completely different. If they met in peace, they would probably split in different directions. They share a common military past. And this sometimes means more than a relationship with a father or mother, as happened in the life of Bones.
Often war causes terrible injuries - indelible, for life. “Why did this happen to me?” Thousands of children who have returned from hot spots ask themselves this question and find no answer. It is no secret that many of those who go to war come from socially disadvantaged families. Major boys, excellent students and just beloved sons rarely find themselves in a combat zone. Those who are deprived of the love and attention of loved ones in peaceful life leave home, where they are not needed by anyone and where everything is repugnant, into the unknown, from where not everyone is destined to return.
Such is Kostya, whose father and mother are busy organizing their own personal lives. The child and his inner world for them is the same unknown. The closest person for Kostya is the tormented “thirsty”, drinking the “bitter” elderly headmaster of the school, who notices the artist’s talent in the young student. But the directors are fired, and Kostya, unable to live with his disgraced stepfather, goes to the army, from where he gets to Chechnya. When he returns, he is thirsty himself. Desire for intimacy, kinship, understanding, sincerity.
Director Dmitry Tyurin amazingly, bit by bit, shows the audience the story of the life of the main character and the transformation of his personality. Going from the present to the past and back again, shows the key moments of Kostin’s life, at one point showing the most terrible thing that happened to him in the war. However, what happened was overwhelming, but did not break the main character. Burned, but not devastated his soul. In search of the human intimacy and sincerity that he lacked in his pre-war life, Kostya, after returning from Chechnya, is capable of much more than many of those who have never gone through war. To be a friend to a little boy. To get close to my father and forgive him. To meet my younger brother and sister. And most importantly – to find the strength not to get angry at the whole world. Stay true to your friends who are much more fortunate. Remain human.
How often in our cinema one can see how, after a terrible misfortune, the moral image of the hero is completely destroyed and the film turns into one continuous blackness, and the authors revel in the hopelessness and longing reigning on the screen. And how rarely do you see that after a life crash you can find the strength to live on. It doesn't take much, though. To feel needed. Unforgettable. Significant for loved ones. Therefore, the heroes surrounding Kostya play such a great importance in the film. First of all, Genk’s friend, who was brilliantly played by Roman Kurtsyn, Marina’s neighbor with her young son, her father’s new wife and the already mentioned school principal.
Each of them at some point made Kostya feel necessary. Genka - by taking him to look for a missing comrade from the war Sergey. Marina shared the story of a son who doesn’t sleep at night. Marina’s son is used to waiting for Kostya and listening to stories about his past life. Her father's new wife - that she treated Costa as a family member and brother of her children. The headmaster said that he loved the work of his student and began to demand that he develop his talent. And, of course, the missing Seryoga – what he did in Chechnya for Kostya and all his comrades. So, for all these people Kostya was not indifferent. So they saw a person in him, helped him, asked for help, trusted and accepted.
“Thirst” is good for many – realistic acting, expressive human characters, memorable phrases, spectacular camera shooting in motion, bringing the viewer and the characters of the film closer together. But the brightest and most talented thing about Thirst is sincerity and faith in the main character. From that, you want to absorb the taste of this picture again, enjoy its lively dialogues, listen to the cheerful sounds of rap in the car with the heroes, believe that they will soon find Seryoga, watch Kostya pour vodka from a bottle into the sink, and just rejoice that the person was saved.

I love finding old, unnoticed, or simply forgotten movies. After all, in this seemingly heap of junk, you can find not only bad movies. Among them can be mediocre films that do not represent any artistic value, but behind them you can spend an evening, as well as a kind of small masterpieces. And, in my opinion, one of these masterpieces was almost unnoticed drama of the Russian production “Thirst” in 2013.
Kostya, a talented artist, returns from Chechnya with a burnt face and a persistent resentment against life. He shuts himself up, communicates with few people and paints gloomy portraits in the spirit of Goya. One day, his frontline friend disappears without a trace, who saved his life during a combat operation. Kostya, along with two comrades, goes in search of him. Reading it at the beginning, you might think that the film would be something to do with a war drama or a detective story. Only it's neither. In the film there are scenes dedicated to the war in Chechnya, but there are few of them and therefore to call “Thirst” a war film language will not turn, as well as a detective, since there is no investigation here and in a word. Standard searches: hang leaflets, but question the circle of friends of the missing.
No, this movie is a drama. The drama is about a man who almost died in the war, who received a serious injury that disfigured not only his body but also his soul, and who must learn to live with it. This makes clear in his interview the author of the book of the same name on which this film was shot (he is also the screenwriter of the film) Andrei Gelasimov: ... There's no politics in my Thirst. I know many people who were in the Chechen war. These are my former students who fought in the Caucasus, and military journalists who went there with weapons in their hands. But what I'm more concerned about is not the military experience, but the psychological portrait of a person who has come back and is trying to figure out what to do next. You see, there will be a million more wars like the one in Chechnya, and the person is always the same! Let the writer express a civil position, if he has one. I have the position of husband, father, brother, lover.
And in the film all this is perfectly reflected. Through the memories and life of the main character, we literally rush through his whole life, imbue him with sympathy and, accordingly, empathize. He will have to walk that path on his own. Get out of your shell and meet the outside world as it is, at the same time quenching your thirst. I want to live and be happy. No one can help him except himself. Neither the girl (there is no romantic line in the film, although there is a pretty neighbor, whom he helps, but there is not even a hint of her), nor his father (with whom he has a rather complicated relationship), nor friends (the friendship with his former colleagues, although it is clearly felt, is not strong enough to help Costa change her attitude to life).
The cast did not fail either. Of the more or less famous names in the film appears only Alexei Guskov. The rest are either unknown or known to a narrow circle of people from the television series in which they played. For example, I have never heard of Mikhail Grubov, who played the main role. But he did a great job with his role. Roman Kurtsyn is familiar from the series “Sword”. In fact, he plays exactly the same character as in the series, but this does not spoil the picture at all. And Sergey Lavygin. He's Senya from Kitchen. It may seem like his game is a bit sluggish, but it's just such a character. He played well.
It would be a big omission not to mention the military scenes. As I mentioned earlier, there are not many. But thanks to the excellent production and excellent camera work, they look in one breath. It's like you're actually in a war zone. And if the movie was just about them, I wouldn't mind. By the way, I think it was on them that most of the small budget of the film was spent.
The camera work is also very good in addition to the military scenes. I especially liked the "eye view" of the main character. Oddly enough, but it is with such a character that I want to associate myself more than with the character of Hardcore. Not with an unemotional dummy, but with a person who has emotions and character. It is such a character that you can truly feel, understand his thoughts and desires. True, this method of shooting used a little, about a third of the film, but this was enough.
And of course, I recommend watching this movie. He deserved the opportunity to get out of the abyss of little-knownness and become, if not a cult, then at least be on everyone’s ears.
I don’t really remember who recommended me to watch Thirst, but I definitely did not regret the time spent.
There are no complex and mysterious plots, multimillion-dollar budgets and stunning special effects in the film, but there is something much more valuable - the atmosphere. The atmosphere of war, the atmosphere of true male friendship, the atmosphere of selfless help and the atmosphere of people’s perception of defects in appearance.
In the process of viewing the screen was not to break away – well, there is nothing superfluous, everything is important for the completeness of the picture and impressions. It is a pity that such directorial works do not gain a mass audience - in my opinion, simple values are lacking now in culture.
I really liked the method of weaving memories from the past, it seemed to me unobtrusive, but colorful and containing only “sharp” angles.
A special role is the child of the neighbor, the most important thoughts in this film are associated with him.

A film about how hard it can be to live in a society where you fall out. Life is an unpredictable thing, and it is not always possible to cope with what it has lifted on its shoulders. Events unfold so that you can not take your eyes off the screen and do something else.
We see the world through the eyes of Bones, whose life was crippled by war. The only thing that matters is to survive. Of course, any person will close in after such events, but even this can be experienced.
The cast, in general, suited me, although at some points the actors lacked emotions. However, it is quite difficult to judge the emotionality in such films.
Cinema, of course, not easy: psychology puts pressure on the viewer, so perhaps not everyone will be able to watch the film to the end. But, believe me, the film is worth the time spent on it.

Sometimes life is cruel and hurts so much that it leaves not only physical but also mental scars. You cease to believe in happiness, luck, and people who complain about some trifles, cause only rabies. But this blind rage sometimes blinds us to the real kindness that can be hidden in the people close to us, whom we sometimes do not notice and who are perhaps the only ones who can truly heal personal wounds. I think this meaning was laid in the basis of the psychological drama “Thirst”.
Synopsis Kostya never wanted to be like a father who never really cared about him. To prove to himself that he is a real man, Kostya goes to war in Chechnya, from where he returns forever changed man. The mutilated face not only changes the Kostya externally, but also from the inside. He constantly tries to drown himself in endless bottles of vodka. But one day he has to change, after his colleague Sergei disappears, when he saved the life of Costa.
Game of actors I have already heard about the positive reaction to the release of the picture in the rental, and also read several flattering reviews. I can say that in general, by most parameters, the film comes to the fore. However, it is difficult for me to attribute the actors to these criteria. Of course, the film wins due to the appearance of truly famous actors such as Alexei Guskov, Galina Bokashevskaya and Anna Banshchikova. But do not forget that the main roles are performed by little-known actors, and they were very responsible. On the one hand, I could say they played the roles well. But, on the other hand, I cannot miss the moment when a share of falsehood and pretense was directly felt - as, I would say, too natural.
Directorship I really liked the director Dmitry Tyurin. He didn't try to make the film a tearful drama. “Thirst” is about an ordinary guy Konstantin, who was constantly unlucky in life. At first, his family was left by his own father, then after the war the hero remains a cripple, because of which he cannot afford higher education, since he cannot appear before people’s eyes. In order for the viewer to get to know the hero better, the director periodically shows the world of the main character literally through his eyes. Thus, we see the emptiness formed in the soul of the hero, who is torn between friends, family and, perhaps, true love.
Scenario The plot of the film is very simple, but this is perhaps the most distinguishing. At the very beginning of the film, the hero leads a prostitute to his home and unexpectedly meets his neighbor single mother Olga, whose son suffers from hyperactivity. Kostya involuntarily agrees to sit with the boy. Once again, his friend Sergey is missing. With his friends, the hero goes in search of a friend. On the one hand, it might seem that the hero is worried about the fate of the missing friend, but the empty and meaningless life of Bones forces you to think about your actions. As a result, the hero finds real peace of mind not with his family, which was destroyed in his childhood, but in the company of strangers in the person of Oli and her son.
Result I won’t say that the film claims to be a masterpiece, but in general, Thirst is a good movie. And despite some shortcomings, the film can be liked due to its sincerity and naturalness. Most importantly, it has a deep meaning, which is that no matter what misfortune happens in your life, you should not close yourself, but continue to live.

War movies have always been a rock in our society, especially for those who have been and seen this war. Many of us were lucky not to go to war. Because of this, there are people with a sick psyche who want to go to war, just shoot. And they do not want to understand that war is not a movie, it is loss, loss of human and life.
There are people who managed to survive the war, but there are those who managed to do it halfway. In this movie, we have a guy with half his face lost. Because of this, he is afraid of people and cannot continue his life in society as before. I don’t know much about people who have been to war, but I can say with confidence that everything in the film is about 70% true and realistic.
But the film also benefits from new faces in our Russian cinema and a particularly pleasant soundtrack, also a good backyard atmosphere that is so familiar to everyone.

I recommend a good Russian film to anyone who wants something new from cinema.
Drama about the ruined fates and lives of war are not new in our world, and films about the Chechen wars and their veterans have become a rarity. Thirst is the third Russian film to show how the Chechen war crippled people. In the film ' My half-brother Frankenstein' the war not only crippled a man, but after it he thought on a civilian that enemies are everywhere and they are pursuing him. In the film ' Alive' (old title: 'We will never be like this') war not only crippled man, but made him a living ghost in society. Here the war also crippled people, the main character also became a living ghost, but gradually he comes out of this state.
So, in this picture, the main character is one. And this is Kostya, who was burned during the second Chechen campaign. That's why a lot of people shun him. Because of this, he has a spiritual thirst that is difficult to fill completely. However, you can temporarily get rid of it with vodka. But the film is not about drinking, but about something else. It's about how he's going to fill that jade so it's gone forever. And this will help him find a friend, talk with his father and communicate with the neighbor’s boy. In other words, the plot is beautiful and spiritual.
The characters here are perfectly worked out, just like in life. And this study is fixed by acting.
The cameraman's job was just great. In the first 20 minutes, we can't make out his injuries, either from the back or from the first person. Which only gives us a clue about his burns. And when you see his face in full, you know what the guy's been through. And here we go to his memories, which reveal him. Honestly, they look at the atmosphere. You feel how Kostya felt in those events. And yes, the memories of the war were captured well. It felt like you were watching a movie called Purgatory.
It was a great movie that everyone should watch.
Probably the best Russian film of recent times. I am disgusted that such tapes pass in the backyards and fail at the box office while mediocre, vulgar, worthless duds glossy on the posters of cinemas and row with their greasy, ugly legs fabulous for their quality fees. This is a vivid example of the fact that Russian cinema can give the viewer a really decent, intelligent, touching, honest, reliable film, which can easily be recommended as an example and which is not ashamed to refer to.
This does not mean that the film is perfect, does not mean that there are no aspects in it that you can find fault with, but unlike incompetent crafts, where these minuses will catch your eyes in the creation of Dmitry Tyurin, sins look only as an annoying misunderstanding that you easily forgive and immediately forget. Perhaps the most unpleasant is the pedaling of the topic of “vodka”, which in some places, well, is not at all appropriate. Everything else is small.
After viewing, there is a rather strange feeling - a taste of something eternal... something that makes the mind get out of the ordinary and immerse itself in thoughts of really meaningful things. In "Thirst" perfectly combines both narrative and philosophical parts, which makes the film incredibly similar to the works of classics of Soviet author films, which in itself is a great achievement.
I am sorry that such masterpieces remain underrated by the audience. That's too bad.
10 out of 10.
Perplexity is all that I felt when I watched the movie, climbed to Kinopoisk to write a review and saw that the movie failed at the box office. Is there not a person in our reality who does not sell consumer goods, but really something worthwhile? Why, why, frank garbage we shamelessly PR everywhere, and this really good film was ignored? A mystery... Apparently, the “strongmen of this world” believe that “peeple should huddle” and “hug” not cream, but fodder beets – do not care about quality, as long as there is quantity. Alas.
“Worthy film” is, of course, “Thirst” directed by Dmitry Tyurin. It's a really great job. From the first minute you can see how deep and detailed the atmosphere of this movie. It seems to me that everyone here worked for glory - director, cameraman, actors. There may be some inconsistencies, but the eye does not cling to them. In general, everything is technically made for a strong five.
There are no superfluous heroes in the movie. Everyone, even the fleeting participants in the scenes, did their part to make this story whole. The protagonist and his friends, being completely different, nevertheless, clearly and simultaneously each in their own way showed what a monstrous imprint the war left on them, which, paradoxically, did not embitter them, but on the contrary, united and strengthened their spirit, taught them to highlight what is really valuable. These details catch the eye, especially in the scene with a can of condensed milk and where the main character communicated with the child. The child, by the way, also coped well with the role, which was very happy, because in recent years I do not remember well playing children.
In general, once again, this is a great work that was undeservedly missed by attention. Cinema, although with depressing overtones, but at the same time good, kind. It causes deep sympathy for the heroes and makes you think. You have to watch! I'm going to give you the highest rating and I'm going to buy a DVD.
A controversial picture about the everyday life of young veterans of the Chechen campaign is the directorial debut of Dmitry Tyurin. Abnormal, full of wretchedness and scope of life in the film, discourages attention with contrasts. The main character Kostya, lives in a mental box of grief and failure. And the happiness and, at first glance, the well-being of others only shade his pain.
Problems in this movie, like many. Except for participation in a military conflict. But through the prism of internal experiences and first-person shooting, you get to the very essence, to the pain point of the problem. Kostya - disliked, undereducated, undertrained. He is abandoned by everyone and by himself. His father left the family, the spiritual mentor who revealed his talent left, life after Chechnya is not life.
The viewer clearly penetrates deeply into the inner world of Constantine. Through "fairy tales for the night" for the neighbor's boy, the protagonist's pain comes out. We see perhaps the most disgusting side of the adult world: when it comes to love and self, hurtful words and actions are no smarter than those of a 4-year-old. Adult accusations fly into an unprotected child. Like, Kostya opened his mother’s eyes to his father’s love adventures, and could keep silent, lie and prevent trouble. In this little piece lies a whole moral for thousands of parents: a child is a child and in his world has no place for the problems of adults.
In Thirst, the physically inferior protagonist is a freak to society. They shun him, look around him, look at him. In short, they accept a hard-to-mutilate face. But for us, for the viewer, Kostya is a standard of order, beauty and spirituality. The main thing in him is the calm fortitude with which he goes through life. First, he is saved by prostitutes and vodka, quenching her thirst and covering her pain, then fantasies. And in the end healed with art. It is by itself or partly by circumstances, but by means of restoration. Just like the ray his teacher described. From the beginning it is narrow and then expands. So Kostya forgives the world and straightens his shoulders.

Three former servicemen who went through the Chechen war are concerned about finding a missing comrade who disappeared without a trace after selling his apartment. Despite the fact that Chechnya has long been in the past, they still prefer to live according to the laws of wartime and almost like that – immediately give in five. They do not fit into the world order they fought for. The main character, Konstantin - prickly and detached guy, due to a severe burn received in the war, is forced to hide his face under the hood, so as not to scare others. Speaking in the language of psychology, the guy does not even have post-traumatic, but the most traumatic syndrome.
The director hides his face from the audience as long as possible, and when he still shows, he does not stun you dead, but gives time to adapt - sparing middle plans, side angles, restrained lighting. In general, it is quite humane, that is clearly thinking about the audience who will watch it. But a couple of interesting imaginative solutions and the same number of roughly slashy editing joints is not the richest arsenal for a full-length film that claims to capture the viewer, ready to pay almost three hundred rubles for a trip to the cinema. And what would be quite useful for sloths, absorbing one series after another, lying on the home sofa, is unlikely to roll for a motivated audience going to theaters.
However, the producers gave the production a million with a bunch of green money, only to play a slightly embellished truth about both modern Russian reality and the protracted adaptation to the peaceful life of the participants of the military Chechen campaign. The meaning-forming metaphor is sufficiently transparent: in war you can lose face, but not conscience and humanity. However, she is unlikely to find a response from a wide audience that can and is ready to sympathize with the main character, but most likely prefer not to know him at all. After all, when you meet with the scum of war, you always feel either a feeling of awkwardness or guilt that you are alive and well, and someone is crippled, and it is not very clear why. That is why "Thirst" was initially doomed to inattention, if not to say - total disregard.
Director Dmitry Tyurin came to the big movie from television, and it feels. Although the main claim, perhaps, can be presented not to him, but to the script. Even despite the fact that the basis is the story of the winner of the award “National bestseller” Andrei Gelasimov, written in 2002. It is the script that leaves the impression that the picture is composed of several storylines, each of which could for a long time develop in a series designed for a couple or three weeks of daily screenings. But the footage of an hour and a half film with this approach does not allow you to build exhaustive characters, and in this regard, the authors are limited only to their concise sketches. Therefore, in the film, where there are no bright events, such laconicism is hardly an artistic achievement or just an advantage.
The same can be said about the event series: those scenes that are presented here, although they are assembled in some logical chain, still after a while leave a feeling of inefficiency, or even non-exception. Therefore, “Thirst” is somewhat reminiscent of the pilot series of “sitcom”, supposedly designed to introduce the alleged sponsor with the main characters and possible options for the development of storylines. This is a very expensive pilot series... The catastrophic failure of the picture impressively reflects the box office figures: only 10 thousand dollars in the Russian box office for seventy copies with a budget of 1 million 200 thousand of the same dollars. I don’t even want to count losses in interest...
For the first time I learned and was able to feel ' Thirst' in the mono-play of the same name by K. Khabensky ' Thirst', 2006. I listened again and again...
Fantasy met with consciousness and painted, as Constantine drew, real people. In these paintings, painted in the magical voice of Bones Khabensky were all the events that occurred in the work. Kostya drew them with a simple pencil. Khabensky painted them with a simple voice and sounds. Gelasimov figured out how it should be. And my imagination drew in color and detail ' Thirst'.
Thanks to this film, we have the opportunity to see it. For me, this whole film is a continuous flashback, a constant return to a time that, despite the fact that it passed its sorrows, war, losses, but... some invisible scars appeared on me.
I’m very happy that the actors played the movie the way I could imagine it. It was different, but the film only added to the previous story. And of course I recommend seeing it, I recommend hearing the play and reading the book. An amazing story.
I want to say that if you have long wanted to see a good and excellent performance of the actors – look. You have long wanted to watch domestic cinema with a great plot, a wonderful script, a beautiful picture - look.
You want what you see to touch the hidden strings of your soul, so that you feel alive and happy. Want to laugh at the next domestic 'Gygyg', feel free to skip.
PS - I highly recommend listening to the solo performance of K. Khabensky.
With the book Gelasimov “Thirst”, I confess not familiar, so I can not compare the film with the book. But I promise myself that I will read the book in the near future, since I was completely delighted with the film.
“Thirst” came out on the screens completely unnoticed, there were no bright ads, trailers, posters, the picture just came out and that’s all. What's the movie about? A film about life, life as it is, as we see from certain people. In the center of the film is the story of the boy Kostya, who went through all the hardships of the war, who passed through Chechnya! And he returned from there alive, but with a completely adored face. But he still lives! He lives like an ordinary citizen of Russia, works as an artist, although all his drawings are gloomy, black, depressing, but it is clear to everyone why his paintings are such. The guy is closed in himself, silent, but everyone knows why. One day, Kostya learns that his friend, who rescued him during a combat operation, disappeared somewhere. Together with two loyal friends, he begins to search for a fellow soldier. Kostya comes out of his gloomy, dark life, into the very flow, the cycle of real life.
A film about love, sincere love, excessive love, beating over the edge. Love is pure, serene, boundless!
A film about friendship, friendship real, firm, faithful!
I don’t want to reveal all the maps of the film, because “thirst” must be seen with my own eyes. This is the best film of the year!
I really liked the main actors. Unstained in bad, cheap movies face quite happy and satisfying. Hero Bones, his friends, his family actors played brilliantly, they got used to the role, do not overplay!
In general, “Thirst” is a vital and surprisingly beautiful, clear and clear, philosophical and thoughtful picture. I recommend everyone to watch.
“Thirst” is a picture that tells the story of young guys, comrades who, after the Chechen war, never found their place in society. Slightly tarnished with a television hue, not a new story is interesting, first of all, the work of a young actor-debutant Mikhail Grubov. You can really say about him - a person of profession:
" Coming home after a long day of filming, I didn’t find a place at all, didn’t sleep all night, realizing that I had failed one of the key scenes of the film. I called the producer and found out how much it cost to reshoot the scene, the money was a lot, but I was willing to find it by any means, not take the fee, take the loan, etc., but I couldn’t let the film come out with this version of the scene. So we got the money, we re-shot the scene, and it's okay.
- What's the scene?
- A conversation in the car about beauty
Working without stunt doubles and stuntmen (including the scene with fire), with complete dedication, putting his soul, Michael, we can say, draws the picture, maintaining the finest thread of atmosphericity and successfully creating a true image of a detached hero lost between two fires, when there is no way back, and the road forward seems impossible.
