History of an English teenager Jimmy Grimble is a typical English boy - he loves football, only here he is a Manchester City fan, who is hated by all his classmates who are rooting for United.
On all fronts, Jimmy is not smooth: her mother changes hahala one after another, she does not stick with the girls, despite decent possession of the ball, nothing comes out on the field under the eyes of others. But once a strange old woman gives him “magic” boots that made the boy believe in himself.
The picture is childishly naive, but this naivety is not annoying. It also captivates the fact that the plot would be in many ways suitable for Hollywood, but John Hay makes the film without unnecessary gloss, which the workers of the American industry would certainly give the picture, at the same time, absolutely needlessly, would kill any charm. It’s nice to watch a movie like this sometimes in the evening to feel nostalgic, because who hasn’t dreamed of becoming a great athlete?
Thank you to John Hay for another picture – high-quality and European-warm. If you like it, watch Lost Christmas and you won’t regret it.
