It's a normal romantic comedy, but there's something unusual about it. I really liked the scenery - the film is very colorful, bright, filled with light - sunny and warm. The story itself is original, too. There are not so many films in the cinema where guys beat off girls who are married, and, it would seem, successfully.
The main character Leo just captivated me with his charm. He is a simple loser writer who also works as a dishwasher. His ex-girlfriend wrote about him on her blog, making him “famous” for the whole world.
Leo is a real man, capable of heroic deeds (I understand that much is exaggerated, and perhaps men will not be so fervently “fighting” for the sake of their beloved). What he doesn't do is get the girl to pay attention to him. And the most interesting thing is, in the end... no, I won’t tell you anything, look for yourself.
Interesting plot, funny jokes, incendiary music - believe me, this film is worth watching, and even if it does not have a lot of semantic load, you will get a positive mood.
And I would also like to add that Leo is an example to follow... That's what real men should be like. Supermen don't give up. Because, come on, guys, whipped girls, one of our "no" and leave offended. No bellicose spirit. Ugh on you...

I started to watch only because of the actors, as I know them both from the TV series and it was interesting to see them in a big meter. Sarah Canning is sweet, but not convincing, especially in scenes where you had to show determination or aggressive sexuality. But Ryan Quanten was not bad, although his whole image just falls apart, but this is the problem of the author of the novel or screenwriters. Dishwasher, pitcher, writer, bully, juggler, phlegmatic – a set of random qualities that simply cannot be the characteristics of one person. And a writer who does not write, and apparently does not think, is an absolutely implausible character.
The uniqueness of the main character lives only in the head of the author (or screenwriter – I don’t know if the book was deeper than the script).
Even the role of Will Sasso was not too pleased - smoothed and refined, like the whole film.
The plot does not even want to stop - standard for a romantic comedy, but with a claim to originality and meaning, which is not supported by anything. For a deeper "depth" even the image of a bear that walks where it should not be, apparently symbolizing the fate of the main characters, which despite the circumstances will bring them together - a move that also did not work.
But! And this "but" allows, without paying attention to the superficial plot and characters, with pleasure to watch the whole film from beginning to end - these are landscapes. The film as a whole has a very beautiful and cozy picture, but the landscapes are something fascinating, incredible! Colors, expanses, light, freshness.
In general, a positive assessment for a beautiful picture, Canadian landscapes and two cute cats, by the way, “Salt and Pepper” would be an excellent title for the film, but our film distributors, as always, did not avoid the word “love” in the title, so that it was immediately clear that the story is romantic, well, or suddenly someone will not understand.

...then this movie is for you. I watch such films because I enjoy the stupidity of everything that happens on the screen, the clichéd plot, the characters of the stage and even the dialogue, all this makes me wonder at the uniformity of the creations of completely different people. But the solution is actually on the surface, because people are led over and over again, girls cry and are touched, so there is a profit. What else does the director need?! Correction, bad director.
Or shorter. The story is about how to win a girl, but there is one thing, this story could not be in life, everything in it is exaggerated. Will a strong and unusual girl fall for a standard macho bad girl? Would a macho-bad person be a cute couple for this kind of informal?! Will a person react normally to the appearance of him as a goat and a weakling on the whole country, although in principle he is an ordinary person and did nothing wrong, just relationships do not develop? All these questions, and the lack of adequate answers to them, make the film just a stupid story, not a love story.
I don’t really want to talk about heroes, they are flat, stupid. Yes, some of them were given unusual features, but they look very played and tortured, there is no lightness and originality.
The picture for which at the beginning I want to praise eventually becomes boring and even begins to cut the eye, as it looks just as unnatural and too sweet.
That's the verdict. For those who don’t enjoy stupid movies, this movie is a huge waste of time. For those who love a stupid, talentless movie, the film will be a noble copy. Well, for those who sincerely like such creativity, like melodrama, I don’t even know what to advise... read books.
What shocked the film was its incredible landscapes. I always thought Canada was snow, gloomy skies and a short northern summer. And here is the breathtaking beauty of nature. At first I decided that the heroes just a beautiful ass for the background put, well, it can not be so divine around. Then I realized I was working on color. It's still beautiful. I immediately wanted to go to Canada, to pristine nature and cheerful people.
Heroes are really funny, although a little stupid. Here is the main character - an unsuccessful writer in the past, and now a virtuoso dishwasher named Leo Palamino. Everything from him is like a goose of water: unperturbed and calm even when the family collapses. How an ex-wife doesn't start a blog called "What you're mad about." But even here our lucky man does not lose the presence of spirit. It is only depressing that the cats Pepper and Salt separated, and the animals are bored.
Of course, the tape is not a masterpiece, but it is light, cheerful, moderately sleek and definitely does not burden the brain with unnecessary thoughts. We looked, smiled and forgot. Especially since, as in any romantic comedy, everything will be arranged in the best way in the final.
The actors are completely unknown to me. Ryan Kwanten, despite his decent age (37), is nowhere to be remembered, nor is Sarah Canning. I know they're actors from endless vampire sagas, but since I don't watch any TV shows, I don't know them either. But it was fun, fun. The kids are pouring wonderful oil on the fire. In general, you will rest from problems without being distracted by deep thoughts about life. That's not what the movie was made for. Have a good time.
This Canadian comedy was originally selected by me as a favorite for viewing primarily due to the new actors instead of flashing on the screen from film to film and already a little annoyed by the same American comedian actors.
In the course of the viewing, it turned out that this is also a well-built and beautifully played story, where there was a place for funny, dramatic, and sentimental situations. All of the above in the director Jerimaya S. Chechik is based on the liveliness of the action: there are very few static plans in the film, almost all the characters are constantly in motion. In parallel, many of them have a large-scale revision of their own principles and views on life, which may not seem quite typical for a classical comedy, but in the film I Love Your Wife.
I do not know to what extent the film is based on the original source, which is the novel by Tom Sandlin, but the story of the main character he brings is simply amazing, for which just in case I immediately thank the author of the novel and the writers. Leo Palamino, who is brilliantly played by Ryan Quanten, is put simply in uniquely unprofitable and losing circumstances. His life doesn’t work out in almost all directions, and if it were a sharp psychological drama rather than a comedy, we would surely see him thinking with a gun to his temple or twisting a rope in his hands, on which he is about to hang himself. But his majesty’s chance and amazing love of life in such a situation, as well as a sharply raised desire to prove that he is still wealthy and full-fledged as a person, become the beginning of his decisive battle for a place in the sun. Battles are tough, often not according to the rules, but which he needs to win, otherwise the gun to the temple can become a reality even in comedy, and the psychiatric hospital would look very optimistic option. The character of Leo deserves special words. Such a bizarre set in the theory of absolutely not matching, but in reality happily coexisting in it qualities still to look. Simple-heartedness, bordering sometimes on naivety, shyness, shyness, indecision, isolation and at the same time bouts of impudence, even arrogance, violent sociability, sometimes turning into annoyance, as well as perseverance and perseverance Leo give the viewer in the performance of Kvanten an unforgettable kaleidoscope of emotions and changes in moods in his character. Not in every drama you will see so fully, to the most secret corners of the soul, the revealed image, as Palamino appears in the film. Uncharacteristic, but very original and interesting comedy hero he turned out. And the accompanying series of funny situations will not let the viewer get bored once in all 97 minutes of the film.
At a good level, all the other actors played, no one fell out of the ensemble, but the greatest praise still deserve, in my opinion, the incomparable Indian children, who are very easily and convincingly played by young Matin Devji and Maya Sami. Such sincerity, spontaneity and relaxation in the guys on the screen for a long time not seen. The culmination is their “professional” conversations on the topic of drugs, when they simply sprinkle with knowledge the original slang of drug addicts, besides perfectly duplicated, original and with imagination. And by themselves, they, I repeat, are cute and cute, although it is undesirable to put your fingers in their mouth, they can bite very painfully. And the drug-related episode of a police officer and a cat that Leo treats with marijuana for arthritis (?!!) is without a doubt one of the best in the film. Although it is worth mentioning and the work that the hero of Quanthena spends on himself to overcome the fear of heights. You have to see it!
In general, the film "Chechika" could become flawless, but a drop of tar was added by some jokes on the topic of sex, including an exhibition of Leo's friend, with whom the creators seem to have overstepped the stick, for which I shoot the tape 2 points. The rest is cheerful, cheerful and bright spectacle.
Of the good in this film is really only landscapes.
The idea of the plot itself is immoral. And to put it bluntly, without embellishment, the young man, from whom his wife left (and the justification for her departure was typed with a whole book), decides to destroy the potentially happy marriage of a complete stranger. Destroy because he thought it was love at first sight. Interestingly, this young man in this film is the main character and at the same time positive. And he does it step by step. And at first, when he failed, I still had hope that the marriage would be saved, but closer to the middle it became clear that there were no hopes. Interestingly, the denouement of the film is an event that the heroine makes in a state of strong alcoholic intoxication. No, that's okay?
In general, I would not like to upset the romantic mood, which is anticipated mainly by girls. And they say, "Oh, it's romantic" -- but I don't think anyone would want to be there -- when someone purposefully takes a spouse away. Or maybe everyone wants to be taken away from a normal husband (among other things, a loving one) by some jackass-romantic? Is he really romantic at all?
However, you can go to this film with a girl who wants something romantic and easy. And of course, it is possible that you will be kissed after leaving the theater or the evening that began with this film will be charmingly romantic. Unless, of course, you will have the oppressive impression that if this film is popular, then something in this world is wrong.

Immediately, after watching I write a review of the film "I love your wife", emotions overwhelm me. This is such a bright, kind and sweet film that it falls in love with itself from the first seconds.
Leo Palamino is an unrecognized writer who washes dishes in a restaurant to make ends meet. The wife leaves him and glorifies the whole world, first creating a blog “What you mad me about”, which is incredibly popular, and then releasing the book of the same name. Being in a mild depression, Leo, quite accidentally, falls in love at first sight with a girl at a wedding, and in the bride herself. Without thinking about the consequences, he comes to the celebration, and, not shy of anyone, tells the girl that the groom is not a couple. That's why he gets punched in the face. But it is so easy to give up not in the rules of Leo and the whole film the main character tries to win the love of Collet in all kinds of ways, proving that the new husband does not deserve it.
A wonderful story in which the protagonist proves that nothing is impossible and how to achieve a girl, even though she just got married. Leo is a positive, kind and romantic person, it is impossible not to fall in love with him. Ryan Quanten, the star of the series True Blood, impresses from the first minutes of viewing. That's how a man should be. He tries to change by working on himself, because the object of his love has read the book and knows all its shortcomings. This film is not like an ordinary romantic comedy, where ridiculous situations and stupid friends help the hero to achieve his, and more often, a narrow and negative opponent a priori loses to the main character. In this film, the fight is fair, the opponent is in many ways more successful and successful, but Leo does not lose heart and goes to his goal.
The movie is very bright, colorful, the place of everything that happens is successfully chosen. Landscapes are fascinating. Music should be noted. I rarely pay attention to the musical accompaniment, more often I do not even notice it, but now, after watching, I still have melodies in my head that permeate the film.
"I Love Your Wife" is a movie that everyone should like. The whole story looks plausible, in one breath, nothing is impossible in it, all the feelings lie on the surface and it is impossible not to believe in them. The story is fresh and not boring at all. It’s a great movie that I’ll watch again.
Plots about an uneasy love for a man who already has a couple are as old as the world. Of course, the most fertile genre in which such a difficult problem arises is drama or melodrama. However, not every viewer will want warm summer evenings to dedicate themselves to a sullen narrative, in which only closer to the final a surge of positivity is possible, and even then under big question. So, Western filmmakers reasonably reasoned that there should be more room for joy and enthusiasm in life, adding to our collection of great comedies about the difficult romantic relationships of adults with such pearls as “Best Friend’s Wedding” and “Uninvited Guests”. To approach such a remarkable company of films tried the creators of the recent Canadian comedy "I love your wife", headed by director Jerimaya Chechik. The director is primarily known to the domestic audience as the creator of the wonderful comedy "Christmas Holiday" with Chevy Chase in the title role. Of course, Chechik’s further career did not bear the same iconic tapes, but over the years of working on television, he clearly did not lose his talent and sometimes can noisily recall himself on big screens, as evidenced by his new film.
So, the plot tells us the story of the writer-loser and part-time dishwasher Leo Palamino (Ryan Quenten), whose family life with the overly ambitious Julie (Kristen Hager) ends very painfully. Not only does the wife take Leo’s favorite cat, but she also makes her career on it! What began as a simple blog on the Internet, where Julie described all the shortcomings of Leo, gradually grew into a real cult, in the center of which stood a book about family life with a negligent hero! It would seem that when there is nowhere to fall, Leo unexpectedly met across the street from home the girl of his dreams, Collette (Sarah Canning). But simply, nothing ever happens. A stranger just at the moment of an unexpected acquaintance gets married. Leo's chances of a happy outcome of the planned relationship are thawing just before our eyes, because Collette's husband will be one of the most attractive rich and famous guys in the city, Danny (Michael McPartlin). But who will win the battle between a handsome businessman and a romantic loser? This is what the next Jerimaya Chechik movie will tell us!
Comedy "I love your wife" stuns its viewer literally from the first minutes of viewing. Well, when you saw the plot plot in which a guy falls in love with a stranger at her wedding, and even gives all his free time to win her heart. And neither money, nor the power of the new husband, nor a sweet honeymoon become an obstacle for the main character for his ambitious plans to win the heart. Of course, the remaining components of the project look template - the main character appears before us as a romantic to the bone. The main character is a beautiful and activist, a free soul, unknown as imprisoned in a golden cage. Her husband is a representative young man from high society, and this all says, because often business for him is in the first place and in addition to external beauty it is completely unclear how he married such a girl unsuitable for him in character. But do not rush to write off the originality of scripted thought. You might have thought that Leo and Collette's relationship would go awry, and Danny would appear as a scoundrel. But this is a completely wrong idea! Almost to the very end, we will wonder how the adventures of the heroes on the love front will end. Moreover, sometimes it is very difficult to choose the side for which you are going to cheer, because Leo often behaves too brazenly and implausibly assertive, and Danny appears as a valiant knight, whose only drawback is doing business in protected areas and fierce struggle for the love of his wife. So the viewer will have something to think about and whose fate to worry about.
To be honest, I didn’t expect to see real international stars in a Canadian comedy, but they’re still in the credits. The main role of the writer-loser was taken by Ryan Quenten, best known for the main role in the unforgettable horror of the king of horror James Wan. So for me personally, seeing Quentin in a comedy was a bit unusual, but he did a great job. As for Sarah Canning, she may be familiar only to connoisseurs of popular television series like "Supernatural", but this does not detract from her talent. Of the other actors, I want to highlight the always brisk Katherine O'Hare from the first two films "Home Alone". This time, her role is much more modest, but according to good old tradition, she plays her mother. This time, of course, not a mischievous boy, but a beautiful girl Collette.
I can’t help but mention the wonderful visual range of the project, which in itself is able to pull any film on its shoulders. Although the film was not shot on the Hollywood hills, but in its balance there is a wonderful Canadian nature with ten-meter pine trees, crystal clear rivers and majestic mountains. Well, when huge, but not terrible bears appear in the frame, even the most formidable skeptic will raise his finger up. So with the entourage of the picture of Chechik everything is a solid ten!
In conclusion, I want to say that the comedy "I love your wife", which in the original sounds like "The Right Kind of Wrong", tells us about the intricacies of romantic relationships within a rather original love triangle. The unconditional advantages of the tape I want to include the intricate development of the narrative, which is very different from the usual romantic comedies, where everything goes completely smoothly, as well as the ambiguity of the contenders for the hand and heart of the main character, because each of them is right in something, and in something seriously guilty. I’m not going to talk about the minuses in the final review, because “I love your wife” is a great reason to have fun and at the same time think about the moral aspects of the story. So good to see you!
First of all, I would like to thank the person who recommended this film! After all, this is an amazing work of Canadian director Jerimaya S. Chechyk. This was the first film I saw with this director. I’ve known some actors before.
So, for example, I saw here Katherine O'Hara, who played in the cult children's film Home Alone. But her role here is auxiliary. The main roles went to the mercy of Ryan Quanten and Sarah Canning.
The story began with the fact that a young man named Leo Palamino (R. Quanten) parted with his passion (Kristen Hager). She also laughed at him on her blog. Every action that I was not happy with, I also released a book. The children of one of his colleagues came to his house with a ball. Leo hits the ball and hits the bride on the other side of the street. Entering the ceremony, Leo brazenly, persistently, unceremoniously declared:
Your husband is a jerk, you should be with me, I'm not!
So began this fascinating story. What did this guy do to attract the attention of the wife of the influential major? A priori, he must prove that she made a mistake.
And the whole movie goes along that lines. And the story is so unusual that until the last you do not know how it will end. In support of this, we receive footage telling us that the denouement is unprecedented. And despite all the postulates, you do not even know how it should be to end it well!
Personally, I have no desire to list each of the actors. One thing is for sure. This screen pair should be the best in the last very long years!!! The film is light and easy. Also quite attractive and very pleasant. Warm and somewhat instructive. I called it “Romcom” in the title, but I don’t want to be attached to this label. It's a great movie, and that's it. Look, there is no need to regret it! .
I watched the film at the press screening in the cinema "Cinema Star Maryina Grove".
Leo Palamino lives the quiet life of a typical dickhead. He lacks the confidence to carry out the task, which he did not undertake, to the end. And only when his beloved ex-wife starts a blog, Why My Husband is an Idiot, where she puts numerous minuses of Leo on public display, Palamino realizes that it is time to start looking at the world differently. Going out on the street filled with a second breath, he accidentally hits the ball for a game of rugby hits a girl dressed in a wedding dress. That madam, in turn, hits back, bulleting the ball higher than nowhere, overnight making it clear to Leo about finding his female ideal. But what if someone else has already mastered the desired perfection? The strange question is to fight, no doubt! For the sake of love, a person can overcome everything, including his fears. It's a pity that Leo's phobias were too much. Trying is not torture, as they say. Although knowing Leo, this saying can be subject to questionable changes.
What’s always annoying about romantic comedies is the implausibility of what they say. It is unlikely that what actually happened in Jerimaya S. Chechik's film (" Benny and June, "Christmas Holiday") could have happened. Yes, the genre concept is not discussed here, because the achievements of the heroes-losers were and will be taken as a basis, who during the film try to fall in love with one or another subject, who initially rejects, and eventually meets pesky ones, stuck with open arms. And it's just because it has to be! A fairy tale, so to speak, to come true. Miracles happen, work hard. Beyond measure, an unnatural approach to such a seemingly realistic creation. You will not see any magical creatures (except two cute furry cats and a rare kind of bear, except that). There's no visual imaging here. There’s not much good about “I Love Your Wife.” At the same time, the film shows a light erotic screensaver in the middle of the fields of the mother of nature, thereby alluding to the symbolization of the story of Adam and Eve. Beat it tasteless, even to the point.
Canadian humor, objectively, does not look like one of the existing ones. Cockroaches, they remain in Africa, but the level of permissiveness, in any case, does not exceed. The jokes of the film are in two fingers. Situations promoting proper amusement of the vocal cords, with a gulkin nose. You smile as scantly as if you were locked in a cage with bloodthirsty lions. It is not pleasant enough, why you do not want to protect yourself at all. Perhaps the actors would have tried to be active in some way, the matter turned not towards the fifth point. For some reason, the conciliation of the characters of Ryan Quanten and Sarah Canning is not provided. Together on the screen they flash less often than necessary in the absolute. Once again, Quantin’s skills in juggling plates and washing dishes are more easily shown than the dedication of the love line between Leo and the girl of dreams.
The plot is not difficult to guess, the weakest. Adjustments are needed, in principle, everywhere. Moral ethics is welcomed once again. A clear stream of thoughts, to them, should not be. And there is an exceptional absurdity: reasoning about the search for masculinity and hermitage as a property of being free, without throwing words of flattery at rich cones, sending those farther away with the middle finger raised up. Who will consider such a charming, apparently, a break from the ordinary structure of the functioning of personal tone of life. Those who have not lost the same propensity for prudence - "I love your wife" confidently push away from themselves.
The stars of the vampire-themed series “True Blood” and “The Vampire Diaries” created an on-screen couple in a comedy about love at first sight and overcoming yourself. "Right wrong" was done, apparently, without regard to the wide distribution and standards of North American humor, which for the most part seems more ridiculous than it really is.
By adding color saturation to the frame at least twice, the filmmakers transport the audience to a world that has almost nothing to do with reality, but does not become less attractive. Divorced Leo, seeing a beautiful girl in a wedding dress, fell in love at first sight. But, our hero's dream at this point was hitting a baseball, which suggests that "Right of Wrong" is not trivial, at least formally. Exaggerating and exaggerating individual moments of the plot, the directors give the film a huge share of attractiveness. They make dishwasher Leo the owner of incredible dexterity, which allows him to literally juggle plates, and his friend Neil endowed with an unusual hobby in the form of creating indecent photos.
The opening credits of this film deserve special praise. The names of actors, editors and other members of the creative team appear in the operating system’s working windows. On the one hand, this is a reference to the plot, as the ex-wife of the main character led a blog about the shortcomings of his faithful. And on the other hand, the desire to make the film more original, and I must say, it succeeds 100%. To solve the same problem, the name “The Rightness of the Wrong” is a pun, which accurately reflects the essence of the screen events: it is certainly wrong to fall in love with someone else’s bride ... but this is how to look.
The clichés that are present about the fact that the husband of a dream girl is necessarily a scumbag, and all the vicissitudes of love suffering always lead to a happy ending, even if he does not have anything to do with it, do not cause irritation and are successfully built into the overall narrative and flavored with wit. “Rightness of the wrong” is, of course, not category A, but it boasts moments that cause genuine laughter.
The main characters are not only attractive, but also quite believable, rather not because of the screenwriter, but because of good actors. Ryan Quanten departs from the tired image of Jason Stackhouse, and thanks to Ray Ban glasses and grown curls embodies the image of a modern dream boy. And his on-screen lover Sarah Canning is a clear example of what the expression “blood with milk” means and, like Ryan, she is also not like her most famous heroine Jenna Sommers.
What catches up in “Right Wrong” is the lack of that pathetic seriousness that is inherent in many comedy films, as soon as the plot concerns love. But here the authors are sensible about what is happening, not allowing sentiment, but using only humor, albeit somewhat vulgar.
Director Jerimaya S. Chechik is not an artist of great achievements, but he knows how to make a cheerful albeit simple, simple comedy. The story of the dishwasher Leo is guaranteed to cheer you up, leaving behind the scenes the teachings and false moralization. The current soundtrack and bright colors along with really funny passages will not leave you indifferent to what is happening on the screen. "Right Wrong" does not apply to the segment of high-brow aesthetics, nor to a film with a thoughtful marketing program. It's just a nice naive story about a guy who fell in love and went to great lengths for the sake of adoration. It’s one of those stories that cinema definitely needs.
